Selling an Antminer S3, Batch 5. Ran in my home office from Aug. 2014 - May 2015 then stored for the summer. I fired it up again Nov. 21st but got news that a family member will need to stay here for an extended period in my HO.
S3 is updated to latest firmware. I have always ran this miner at 453GH (225) as it is extremely stable at this speed. Record is 28+ days and I only rebooted because hash rate was showing less than 100GH; pool side was still at 450GH+. Ambient room temp <> 70F.
Will fire it up again on Eligius for the doubters.
$125 + shipping from SW MI (BTC or cash) Will meet up to 20 miles from 49512 (daytime location w/cameras, bank etc.) refs: ebay, heatware (daclayman)
The USMS will not transfer bitcoins to an obscene public address, a public address apparently in a country restricted by the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), a public address apparently associated with terrorism, other criminal activities, or otherwise hostile to the United States.
Lame!
This post made me think. This USMS auctioned BTC will sell for WELL over market value. What easier way would there be to transfer USD indirectly to an anti-American group and only taking a 10-20% hit?
1. No PCI-e connectors - you could chop this thing up 2. Not 80 plus 3. 34A on 12V rail - stock Antminer S1 wants 30A (360W) so you're running at 88% stock speed 4. It's a Coolmax
1. XFX = Seasonic = good quality. I'm running an Antminer S1 on a 6 year old PC Power and Cooling 610W 2. Single 12V rail @ 45A - 30A/45A = 67% + room for OC
edit: 51.99/shipped thru 06/2 w/promo code + $25 rebate = $26.99 + peace of mind

3 S2 coupons 400$ (exp 5/30), 0.01 BTC each or take um all for .02 BTC; PM me
The only required question is what the address is, takes 5 seconds to fill out and I really do believe that this information is necessary for the community.
The address will not be shared further only the information found from it. Ie how much many generated coins, first transaction date. Amount incoming and outgoing. It will be deidentified with rounded numbers and no day specific time.
No need for this. From my refund, I went back through the blockchain and found that KNC pools a slew of BTC (900+ on my refund day) into one address, then creates a new address for each refund, sends the appropriate number of coins to the new address from the pool, then sends the refund to your address from that address.
Those caps look as if they didn't get much flux, and knocked-off fairly easy, and clean. Most of The caps in the pics look like they would solder right back on. Most of the components which came loose look re-usable even, although some look like garbage. The boards are pretty beefy, and the solder points are large. I bet a good portion of the PCB's could be fixed with minimal effort, while others are not. Someone should head up a group buy effort, and hire a bulk repair shop to whip them out. once they see how simple the repairs actually are, it may be worth the effort... just sayin'. some place like this.... http://sybesmas.com/site/ could make easy work of a stack of those boards
I live about 40 miles away from this place. Never seen the place, but I'm pretty sure they're using a lot of temp agency for rework jobs. In this area, some businesses would spend 10 cents to save a nickel. I did some solder work recently near here. I'm not saying that you don't have a good idea, I just wouldn't send it to SW Michigan.

You need to clarify: upgraded PSUs on all/some computers? Same problem on all computers with same/different power supplies? To solve an issue, it has to be isolated.

Re: [Antminer S1 Sales open] Price changes daily, now 1.11 BTC for 180GH/s
Do the cougar fans come with the fixation screws required, or do they need to be purchased separately ? If so can you share the length/size of these screws ?
Thanks
No they dont have. You need +30mm screws. You need 1 spacer bolt or something or the cougars go too deep and fan will hit the frame. Easy assembly but you need 2 screws & bolts for each fan. Maybe 4... i was lazy. Also my bolts were too long for top left corner. Anything longer than 40mm will hit 1 capacitor.
