Images in your ann arent working

yeah sometimes they don't all come up quick enough, that's why there's a text only OP in post #2 ;]
Do you have some kind of road map or plans for the coin?

Just from reading DEV's posts in this thread, I can tell that he has a vision for this coin. I understand people's desire for direction and clarity with any sort of project. Perhaps we could set up a fund to pay someone within the community to develop a roadmap that could be posted in the OP. I'm sure DEV will answer any and all questions about the direction he wants to take this coin. I personally will donate 1,000,000 XVG to this cause.

BITBAY! An altcoins with actual tech behind them rather than hype. Well Bitbay has just created  the first ever working decentralised market and is in the process of getting pegged to the dollar. Bitbays led dev is David Zimbeck - the guy who created 'Halo' and 'Night-trader' for Blackcoin. He's behind Bitbay and works on it full-time! We believe it will be added to Poloniex shortly we predict due to the magnitude of development work and they have asked for more information on the pegging.

BITBAY only has 0.47 BTC worth of volume right now on Bittrex. What makes you think Poloniex is noticing you guys?

I understand it is discouraging to see people unloading cheap XCT in cryptopia, however there is no need to get upset by this. Obviously there were some desperate people that were merely trying to make a quick buck off of their mining efforts. I believe this community will continue to grow and Mr. Martens will continue to use his resources to ensure C-bit is a successful coin. I hope the current community can see this and will continue to support Mr. Martens endeavor.

yeah we have been trying to get added to Poloniex but there has been ZERO traction on that topic.

Maybe we just need to offer Poloniex a few BTC. It certainly can't hurt to try.

I would like to throw money at them BUT THEY WONT RESPOND TO MY INQUIRIES

-_______________________________-

There is also Jubi and BTC38 that can give us good volume, we should look into trying with those too.

yeah, a few people in irc have already said they would help contribute btc as well. i wrote them again to see if where we stand

Fucking blow their shit up I will contribute 1.0 BTC to the fund.

This whole pussy footing around is becoming very disheartening - Lets make strides to improve our market position.

What do we need to do to get on BTC38 ?

If we could actually pay our way onto a good exchange I would also throw down 1.0 BTC

I don't think the account that's used should matter. If you're going to reveal your real identity that's good enough. Look at Decred, we know a lot of people were involved in Its development for years, but they still did their ANN with a noob account just called "decred"

Substance, intent, and active development/support are the only things that truly matter.

It is possible to do a coin successfully with a newbie account. It is just statistics are against it. Most of the time newbie accounts are used because the dev does not not want to ruin his main account. Imagine if a dev uses his main account (with this I do not mean real identity, just his main account that he has been building up over time). This would improve trust and chances of success greatly. If a dev insists on using a newbie account, then there must a reason for it and then the community will take that into account with their risk assessment. It will be a sword over his and the coins head all the time. Chances are very good for a newbie account that such a coin gets dumped by the dev when listed. Even if a dev has many coins (which is perfectly alright by the way), using his main account will improve trust that he will not just dump and that is all assurance that the community needs.

The risk is that the coin will be listed on an exchange before the things that you mention will happen (development etc.) The dev is going to put everything into the coin in anyways to make it a success right? Then use his main account. It is not an unreasonable request.

I understand your concern about his Newbie account, but you really should be more respectful. Not every single person that is involved with BTC sits on bitcointalk all day posting on random threads. I'm proud of you for having achieved Hero Member status as I'm sure you worked really hard to attain it. Just by looking at the website and wallets you can tell Mr. Marten did not just slap this thing together willy nilly. Moreover, you can tell by his use of the English language and his firm tone that he is serious about what he is doing. Please do not bring your childish petty rants into this thread anymore because it will only make you look like a fool.

Looks like top miner on Alpha pool also has the top wallet 17SChZbbrn9APTN5Tw4eyiC95q2xTMXqJL

Is that a surprise to you?

Nevermind.. I don't know how i saw that wrong. It's a different address... either way that address is either the dev team or someone that was truly scoping the hell out of this thread waiting for launch.. Pretty much mined it's entire balance in a little over the first hour of launch. 2.2 million

Someone has a nice stash either way  Roll Eyes

They could have been scoping the hell out of this thread like I was. I would have more coins if I started earlier, but got tied up with some things. Either way, there's 210 million coins and only ≈13.2 million have been mined so far. I've been paying close attention to the rich list and from my own observations the individual at number 1 hasn't increased their holdings by very much recently. This tells me they have halted their mining efforts. Moreover, I have been continuously mining and have seen a sharp decrease in the amount of coins coming my way. When you put things in perspective 2.2 million XCT out of 210 million XCT isn't shit. This individual may have 16.84% of the current holdings, but they only have 1% of the minable coins.

Okay i´m very confused  Huh to many informations.

Can someone tell me what is going on in the VERGE community?

- New goals to reach?
- What is with poloniex?
- Other important stuff?

-New goal should be some kind of diagram illustrating why Verge is better than other coins claiming to be anonymous. At some point DEV will do all that he can do. It's up to us as a community to continue advertising Verge and make it understood by the masses.

-All we can do is wait.

-I think DEV is still working on some wallet stuff.

We need visual comparison between the "so called" leaders of anonymity. Like an infographic or something.

Let's spell it out - obviously it needs to be done those who do not understand know no better. Lets educate the wider Crypto Community.

Can someone draw a rough sketch of what the info graph would or should look like? I might be able to get it done if so.

You can pm me the sketch, so no one has to look at your ugly drawing also :-) j/k

That's great. First thing to understand is how Tor and I2P entirely work that's key. Then understand how Cryptocurrencies (For ex. bitcoin) work I don't mean the encryption part but the path it takes and how it does it. Then demonstrate how Verge makes it possible to extend that kind of deepweb privacy into a crypto coin. There are hundreds of videos on Tor and I2P and on how Bitcoin protocol works the only part dev needs to explain maybe is how Verge does its thing. Any doubts you could get into a Q&A session with dev and clear things out. Explaining all the pros and its unique.

Here you have a smart contract coin which shares users sentiment (bets) and how it becomes something when used explanative language.
http://youtu.be/yegyih591Jo

Here another one Its a decentralized datastorage coin. It makes me want to upload stuff  Cheesy
http://youtu.be/RdGH40oUVDY

Those are all btw service coins.

Verge in the other hand is a currency coin if we can put it that way it's ultimate goal is to intermediate exchange of goods and services but so that the currency holder and his wallet are kept undisclosed at all times. In there you got a handful of currencies that want to be used so they make all excuses to tell those who are privacy centric that their currency is also very safe which is a false statement. All n all Verge is in the best possible spot possible 1st it's a currency 2nd its private

I'm not going to let this die out. I think this is a very crucial element that needs to be addressed and clarified for the masses. If I had the means to make a cool diagram then I would. Is anyone working on this?

Re: The C-bit Bitcoin [XCT] | Elegantly Solving Bitcoin's Looming Blockchain Problem
by
daggerpunt
on 25/02/2016, 20:57:34 UTC
The coin is 210 Million, which means 10X Bitcoin. This means that it should
eventually trade at 10 % of Bitcoin's value. So if Bitcoin is at $ 422, this means
that C-bit should trade at $ 42.20.

KeepKey will eventually sell a unit that allows C-bit to store its coins on the unit.

Read the C-bit Mission statement if you really want to understand where this
coin is going and why it was created. This is not your run-of-the-mill clone. This
is a very unique coin, and might very well become the second iteration of Bitcoin.

C-bit IS Bitcoin Core. Understand THAT and you understand C-bit.

That's right. This is precisely why I started mining XCT. I definitely see this coin going places.
