Speculative mining can be successful, pick some newer coins which have recently launched and mine as much as you can while the difficulty is low and then hold them until the price goes up.
Picking which coins to do this with can be difficult, but look at the team, if the website is professional, the roadmap and so on.

Best thing is to look at whattomine.com and see which coin produces the highest income for your mining setup, then trade those coins for ones of your choice.

I expect Waves to shoot up in price at some point, the team is great and keeps delivering improvements. Probably after they launch smart contracts.
They wont beat Ethereum but should do very well, its super easy to launch your own token on Waves and their DEX is impressive.

This is pretty much it. If you have courage to invest when everything looks bad, that's how you make the profits when the bulls return.

Pretty excited about what's to come from Waves soon, it's been pretty flat but with the launch of the new DEX I think there will be a rise in price and then next year potential for a huge rise at some point.
