Wow, that is amazing that I was so far behind.  Now if only the wallet would stop "not responding" constantly.

How regularly does Bittrex decide whether a particular coin should be retained on their website or not?  Seems like it doesn't really hurt them to have it on there...

Bittrex shows that they may remove Teslacoin due to lack of trading.  Seems strange, its going up in value, yet that's not acceptable to them?  The website states there must be at least .2btc trade volume over 7 days to save it from being removed.

edit:  Must be average of .2btc daily trade volume over 7 days.

I'm confused about part of the "Bitnodes" thing.  It states that I can purchase "shares".  Shares suggests some sort of investment with a direct (rather than indirect) returns which doesn't make sense to me.  Are they simply calling one's contributions as the purchasing of "shares".

It was my derivation that the purpose of the whole contribution to be merely supporting the network.  Any insights?

If my understanding of cryptocurrency wallet programming is correct, then the following is true:

*Any given wallet of any given coin, when met with multiple block chains from multiple nodes, will pick one block chain.

*This preference for a particular block chain is usually based upon whichever chain is the biggest (difficulty * blocks, or described as having the most number of blocks with the greatest difficulty)

*If that is correct then a wallet on a bad chain will automatically rebuild itself if it finds a block chain that has a higher result when multiplying the difficulty of the blocks times the number of blocks

*Assuming that is all correct, all we have to do is connect to those bad nodes with our good wallets and those other wallets will fix themselves over time (though it will be a big download for them)

Normally it could work but we need a lot of nodes on the good one.
Its way easier to resync with the good bootstrap.

EDIT: TO ANYONE WHO IS BUYING ON CRYPTSY I CANT PROMISE YOU WILL RECEIVE THESE COINS. STOP AND USE BITTREX!

I'm trying to think of how we could achieve this without having to gain their definitive consent.

Pursuant to the programming, shouldn't we be able to add the bad nodes to our node lists and those nodes, would then, slowly, rebuild themselves to satisfy the stronger chain (being the true and correct one)?

Anyone have communication with http://www.multifaucet.tk?  I think they're on the wrong block chain too.  Tested their donations and the transactions didn't go through.

okay, so say someone *accidentally* sent some coins to cryptsy before seeing that they were on the wrong blockchain... what would happen to said coins? Thanks!

I'd do what valkir is suggesting.  All addresses for Teslacoin, whether made by a wallet on or off the chain, are still valid addresses so they should have the private key for that address.  That means you should be fine, as long as they update their wallet to the correct block chain.

Hallo,

I don't see my coins in my wallet after reinstalling the software. I see the transacions but the -rescan command doesn't work and my reciving addresses are gone too. How wallet looks broken. It is also a bigger file then it should be. How do i fix it?

I found a solution: https://cryptocointalk.com/topic/2023-quick-guide-how-to-rebuild-a-qt-wallet-if-you-lost-your-coins/

First of all, are you on linux or windows?

Try repair into the console. Just be sure you keep a backup of your wallet.dat and you will be ok.

Edit: DO NOT USE CRYPTSY, THEY DONT TAKE THE TIME TO FIX THE WALLET AND ARE NOT ON THE GOOD CHAIN.

I'm using a windows and i had a backup of the whole old folder from the prevous version of the wallet where the coins still are but it is not updating the blockchain. Removing the blockchain files did made it update but the coins ware gone. It took some time so i'm going to try to get the privete keys out and put them back together now.

Edit: Now i'm waiting for the bootstrap.dat file to load. I think that it is going to work.

Previously when I've had that issue and I had the correct wallet.dat file in the folder I had to go to the console and type "repairwallet" over and over again until it finally responded something like "wallet is up to date" or something along those lines.  Make sure your seeds are up to date as there is a fork!  Its a long one too, I was on it up until recently.  It has only like 2 nodes, the correct one, after a while, gets up to like 20 or 30.

I was merely curious as to the rate at which those TES are essentially being taken out of the market which would give an indication of the speed at which TES should really be going up in value Wink.  Of course that doesn't include people acquiring TES in manners other than direct mining, but it is still supporting information.

Regarding the teslapool.info website; it states that 2,591,964 TES has been earned from that pool.  Over what period of time does that account for?

Sad, that, perhaps, even those who started this coin did not see that it would still be limping along even now.  Though now the difficulty is over 1 but no one appears to be mining it regularly at that difficulty.  That difficulty is like 50 MHs per second, which is ridiculous for an individual for a scrypt coin.  Huh, maybe that will be the coin's undoing; some over powered person forcing the difficulty so high that virtually no one else can keep it going on their own and not even they, themselves, mining it regularly at that difficulty. 8(

never seen it totally dead.  there still a place to download the wallet?

Hi Dalydir,

You can fetch the sources from the official repository https://github.com/His-Holy-Noodliness/noodlyappendagecoin
Did you need a Windows, Linux or OSX wallet?

Will the sources work for you or are you looking for the previously released precompiled binaries?

Kind Regards,
-Chicago

Oh, I need the exe, that's for sure.  Was hoping for windows, but I was also asking in general so other people could download the wallet as well.

I'd like to make a request for the next version of the wallet.  Perhaps, removing 4 month old transactions that were not accepted by the network, from the transactions list?  Would be nice if it didn't spend 99.999999% of its time while "staking" frozen as a program and prohibit doing anything within the program.  Then again, I understand that that is probably associated with how many staked transactions I have and probably not an easy fix, though the first thing would, I think, at least help.

Teslacoin, I think, will continue to be an interesting cryptocurrency.

Is it alive ? How can I make money on it? Anybody?

One would theorize the way to make money off teslacoin would be to first invest in it. Or do multi-pool mining off the teslacoin website.

Some may find this interesting: if you have GHS (cloud mining units) on cex.io you may be losing BTC just paying for the maintenance fees at this time.  Since BTC has dropped so much in value, its now a losing prospect.  So if you're losing BTC, you're going to remove your GHS and sell it off, if its not worth mining then the price of BTC may drop.  If cex.io bows out, that will drop the hash rate by nearly half.  Might be time to shift one's Bitcoin to something else...like...maybe...  TeslaCoin?
