No you get interest on whatever coin is being held in your wallet... so you could compound your interest over time.. or just sell of interest earned immediately..

Generally speaking with a PoS coin.. what will happen is that a majority of coins will end up going into wallet for Interest generation... as you wont need to mine and spend anymore power on getting the coin...

After we get down to 1 block rewards... the attraction will be for investors... in that they can still buy from the market to build up their stack of Mint and generate interest from that.... this system potentially reduces the amount of coins in the market.. as every potential investor is a potential saver...

we will of course see some trading with pump/dumps etc... refer to HBN if you want a clue to what a general PoS coin does in the market.the difference here is that mint becomes an almost pure PoS coin in another few days. so it will be interesting to watch how the market adjusts itself to that particular paradigm..

Yep.. i've decided to stop trading for the moment.. because... it looks like the trading has become a little indecisive...

also a drop can be expected... price climbed too high too fast.. which means that those who are trading are more likely to trade it away for the immediate profit...

i think Mint at this stage is a solid buy in the 20-25 range for this current block reward.. 26 and up is a little iffy at this point as its being heavily traded and i can't really estimate when the dump will come in and to what level it will drop the coin.. but with the amount of interest in mint and the increase in hashrate.. there is also a chance that new investors will come in and swallow the dump... but its a little unlikely as the current ALT market.. makes most people refrain from taking big risks with their current BTC positions..

With trading other PoW coins its easy... since the coins dont do anything... pretty much whatever we see on the exchange is whatever is gonna be traded.. with PoS its hard to get a fix on how much mint is getting sent out of the exchange for Wallet mining..

and its paired with Mint.

Interesting...never came across that system before... basically my system during a pump.. is to carefully check all buy and sell orders.. at least 10 points up and 10 points down... to get a gauge for market movement range... and then refer to chart to see how long the buy/sell frenzy was going on.. at which point i determine my buy/sell price... i generally don't do to bad that way.

Only rule is to not get to caught up in the hype that usually follows in a coin thread.

loving this....decided to day trade my 3.7m stake... now sitting on 6.1m Mint from the last 1 hour alone...

What do i want? BTC or MINT? easy answer... mint... Because i think over time.. due to it PoS nature... everyone is gonna lock down their mint in their wallet.. and we wont be seeing so many millions up for grabs...

Hope fully i will get to my goal of 10m and then sell of the excess for profit...

Noble is pretty much my rainy day coin... whenever i get btc.. i send it to buy Noble...at the moment we arent really seeing much trading pressure in either direction... but thats fine as the general market condition hasnt really changed much over the last week...

Btc seems to be climbing up slowly again... but i have basically turned my  personal stash of 172k Noble into 272k over the short term... i believe that in the LONG term... Noble.. will actually do well....

For the simple reason... most coins that were launched around the same time.. are dead or dying....i do believe that over the duration people will slowly switch to Noble... for the stability factor..

And for this i am truly grateful to the premine as it gives Noble.. a solid cushion to carry us over moments like this...

we really need to get more votes in.. at mintpal...

By the way... try grainers.net for pool.. i've been on it.. and havent really had too much trouble with mining there...
Used to be on Forkpool and Livechains before that... but grainers seems to be the best at the moment.

pretty much being buying whenever i can... doesnt really matter to me when price dips cos i switch to day trade positions...

On the whole the alt market despite being down.. has actually stabilised quite a bit.. prices have slowly started climbing on some of the newer coins.. mostly those that arent listed on coinmarketcap/coinwarz... and i think the price trend is following slowly into the stable coins...

I would like to re-correct my earlier statement... Btc prices dont really need to climb back up to usd 750... for us to see a rise in prices... it just needs to be stable... around 60 satoshi for USD 575 btc value seems to be the current market ratio... if prices stay stable i expect movements to be back in the 70-80 range...

the value of 120-150.. would be dependent on how well we integrate the market system... so we would need more products etc... and how well the value of btc recovers...

pretty sure the smartcoin idiot... just wrote up a single post.. and put it on every coin with 200 pages plus..

but its a brilliant example of how to piss off a community...

i don't believe its a double crash exactly...

Noble actually performed very well in the first 2 days after btc crashed to 500.. whereas all other coins were dropping about 30%-40% in value.. Noble actually did the reverse for awhile this lead to increased mining and a higher difficulty... but the downturn in btc has been dragging for a longer duration which means that Noble is finally catching up with the downturn in bitcoin's value..

Think of it this way.. general average daily earning for 3mh/s when btc price was stable  at about usd 750 was around USD 20-25 per day but now its at USD 10-15. Despite it being crazy to sell out a price lower than you bought in at economics determines when one needs to cut their losses .. i imagine that alot of people have decided to liquidate and get the most out of whatever they can get either for stronger BTC positions or for the simple fact that most miners have decided to sell larger quantities of whatever coin and consolidate their positions on only one-or-two favorite coins as they will still need to pay of those credit card bills in another 10 days.

I believe that once BTC regains its foothold at the 700-750 and holds in that range for 1-2 days.. we are going to see a massive surge in the market (for at least a couple of days).. because everyone has already placed their bets with their favorite coins and with prices being at an all time low its easier to get in on decent buy positions... at which point.. the btc well will dry up... and then the markets will start to drop down to more realistic level..

I've placed my bets on a variety of coins.. some based on belief in the coin/dev, some based on speculation, some based on the general system and some based on random calculations... am sure some will tank.. But also think somewill pay off well..
In the mean while.. i've been daytrading on Mintpal... with capital preservation in mind.. and diverting the btc profits onto my btc wallet for liquidation... liquidation will however only occur once we are out of the current btc debacle.

 

Hueristic.. It will be hard to combat manipulation at this stage...

Forget the buys at this stage... look at the sells..we have about 444K at 83 and 129k at 89 and thats pretty much the only significant sell volume till 105.. majority of Noble Traders hasve probably placed their sells at higher prices so it cant be seen at the moment.

actually having a lot of fun with coinex.pw...

I started out with 50k and walked away with 71288 due to the last price dump... and i actually managed to catch some of those fake bot buys so was selling at 106 and buying at 83.. the one thing i like/dont like about coinex.. is that due to auto sell option of the mining the highest buy price gets filled sooner or later... but the buys are like 2.xx noble etc.. sigh so sometimes it takes forever to get a buy filled.

At least i think there is an auto sell option for the mining..
