Hi all.  I am fairly new to all this.  Can some explain or write a short "idiot guide" to what an "asset" actually is and how it works and why HZ is so cheap.  Many thanks and sorry for being so dense!

Bit of a tall order so any help is appreciated.

How do I back up the following wallets:

Bitswift
Stealth
XC
Fibre
Multibit for bitcoin

Is the process the same for all of them?

Many thanks.

I'm not sure, but Mr. Obama would be mistaken if he were to think that the internet fell under US jurisdiction.

It's a continual source of bafflement to me that US institutions so often appear unaware of their merely national authority.

The internet as we know is placed in the US, it is way more centralized than most people know. This is why we need blockchain tech on a platform other than the big fiber lines infrastructure.

How could this happen.  Could websites be built inside the blocknet somehow? Web 3.0?

XC should commence developing its web 3.0 distributed content server very soon. It'll serve anything from webpages, ads, and personal files from XC nodes.

And of course any Blocknet-enabled node will be able to use this service.

Great. Is there a thread here where I can read up on xc and web 3.0 a bit more?

How do I stake and what are the benefits?

You stake by transferring your coins from the exchanges to the temporary wallet.  All you have to do is that.  I encrypt all my wallets with a password, so each time I load up the wallet I have to unlock it in order for it to stake.  If you don't encrypt, it will begin staking as soon as you have mature coins (4-8 hours).  The reason I say temporary is because these tokens and wallet are temporary while they set up the assets on the Next Horizon (NHZ) Network in the near future.  Once that is established, this staking wallet will go away as we transfer our tokens to the Asset Network.  If you haven't checked out NHZ, I recommend it.  It is our future and claiming a small stake in that alt won't cost you that much (there's quite a potential there).

Benefits?  It strengthens the POS network, and it's a way of getting "FREE" coins without having to do much of anything.  That's good enough for me!

Very helpful. Many thanks!
