my personal opinion is that its a bold move, but perhaps too big / too much... like HVC isnt even known about AT ALL comparatively.. Imo ithat could be something for someone like doge, or litecoin, and of course btc to do, but seems to be jumping a lot of steps for a new, unknown coin without any other reach - i.e. u cant spend it anywhere else (really), its only on a few of the smaller (well, actually decent) exchanges, its not talked about on mainstream digital currency news sites.. yeh, just seems a bit of a jump for me personally..

.. and risky? A LOT of time, and further $$$ INVESTMENT required (from who?) and then the time delay between game being developed getting released - will it even be popular / mainstream / "a good game" - a lot of risk outside our control?

How do other coins get off the grass roots status and get growing and get respect? What are the smaller and then middle sized jumps to getting basic promotion? I'd personally just love to see HVC being written about and shared on a grass roots levels - more free faucets (or get on that free daily QoinPro site perhaps , more mini bounties for sharing tweets, more reaching out into other forums about mining and alts, facebook posts, thunderclap is a great idea, I'd love to see articles on popular crypto news sites and blogs, to highlight and publicize the benefits of the coin for mining and gpu, being cool running and energy efficient

I just love a multi angled approach and its how i run my businesses - many many baby steps going on consistently, basic baby steps i can take every day which build and build and add synergy and really add up rather than a risk on a big project especially for such a young company/(coin)

My inside sources at the Chines govt. told me they are spreading FUD about BTC, so that they can load up on HVC! u heard it here first - buy now, rock out with the Chinese in 4 months time!

Stay calm, don't panic - this is a turbulent, negative week for digital currency news from China and a MASSIVE 10%+ drop in price for BTC TODAY alone.

This is a long term game, not short term, more power for this 750Ti just gives even more incentive for GPU miners to get involved, and there's only been small drops/fluctuations in price, when it drops, people, myself included are buying it back up for under 4000sat. But the sales are a TINY fraction of the MASS (extra, comparatively) amount of HVC being mined daily now - the real bulk of miners, even the new GPU powerhouses are holding 90% of what they are mining.

What this coin really needs is more marketing, I believe this is coming next week from SyRenity who will be coordinating marketing activities and promoting the coin to exchanges and getting publicity out there - fact is we have a great, really strong coin here with some fantastic features. IF we can get some marketing going and real press, real publicity and get the word out there then whatever price were at now, 4000sat/5000sat, whatever, will pale in comparison, mining will explode 10-100x over the summer IF people really find out about the cooler chips and mining advantages over LTC and as the ASICs come in to mine LTC

This "battle" isn't about the day to day rise and fall around 4000-5000sat, it's about mass publicity and coin recognition, and then establishing the coin as strong, resistant, reliable over the summer months.

How much you holding total kuperis? I've been buying all the way down and back up again, I think thats enough tho really, won't buy it all the way up, I'm on 220k+ and wont sell ANY till it hits $0.30 - then will take my stake out and ride the rest to wherever it gets

This just isn't going to happen, or at least not anytime soon.

Groupon process is long and hard to get approval, and I don't think I've seen other coins on Groupon ever (?), besides, they also want 50-90% discounts and price tags of $50-100 ideally, so giving away 30HVC for the price of 10HVC (10cents) is just never ever going to get on there.

What we can do now is social promotion:

- Writing articles, posting them to blogs, and grassroots level bitcoin/crypto blogs - guest posting - explaining basics about the coin and what the future could be, and the brief history and changes so far

- Writing articles to bigger sites, i.e. Coindesk - harder to get on, needs an actual journalistic piece of writing, not happening any time soon or unless something really newsworthy happens.. which the new GPU stuff could be, it's exciting, but its all a bit speculative just yet still.

- Post in forums on this site and others - At the minute GPU mining as an alternative to litecoin seems to be the big selling point, so get in on some litecoin threads and post (dont spam) info about HVC mining - or ASK QUESTIONS "has anyone tried HVC mining / pools - theres lots of talk about it being cooler and a growing buzz about this coin right now etc etc"

- Twitter - get using the official heavycoin twitter account more, follow people, retweet things from it, also just tweeting stuff yourselves about the coin and hastagging/linking back to the main twitter (and facebook)

.. but I haven't got the time to post there constantly, and tbh I'm not historically a crypto-geek, not knowledgeable about the technical/mining side of things - so I'm actively looking for people who want to post to facebook, PM me for access - posting news, info, market price, graphs, and other news just related to bitcoin or especially altcoins generally.

Also I am wanting to advertise there, with around $100-200 (yes, needs fiat/real money, not just HVC) to get to about 700-1000 likes, and from there we can see an impact and assess if its worth it to keep advertising - I think so, I've spent $100k on facebook advertising in the last 6 months for my main business interests - so I've got some expertise in this area and I will run the ads, and Im going to spend the first $50 and get to 200+ likes, but after that I'm not spending my own money doing it, giving my time is enough, so need bounties or donations (I dont want to profit off this, ill profit off my investment in the coin if the price increases - I'm HOLDING 200k HVC (and fuck it, I'm not selling ANY till $0.30c, if it doesnt get there then fuck it - go big or go home! - any bounties I will just use that to spend on ads - so keccak, send me some bounties, and another PM, ill show u some new stats, I improved the ads / got them cheaper ).. but I do know facebook marketing, there are other coins with just 100-200 followers and were past 100 already... even Coin Desk "only" has 8000 facebook fans.. believe me we could have 10k fans within 6 months (but we gotta BUY / ADVERTISE for them) (believe me, my other pages have 200k+ fans combined)

Forget about groupon, not going to happen in a million "moons" from now - might happen when we're actually on our way to the moon, along with bigger marketing possibilities - but right now keccak and the devs arent throwing around $100k here and there for mainstream media PR... and rightly not yet... BUT theres a TON we can all do - grass roots marketing, telling friends, posting forums, twitter, facebook - get real about it and get writing!

holding 86k, been buying on the way down a little the last couple of days.. won't dump, but waiting to hear from devs for some reassurance - was about to buy up 300k+ more this week.. wont sell this 86k tho, will just take the risk

I'm in the UK, I use http://www.kraken.com - you have to transfer to germany, but its an easy setup, you can be verified in 1 day and the fee is something like £6 - ok if u transfer enough, and the price there is cheaper than localbitcoin person to person buys so its a decent option.

Yes, I think uncertainty with the amount of posts about GPU lately and mixed views on what this will mean for the value and long term future of the coin, and what mgt. response will be - would be good to hear from those running it as to what is actually going on with GPU or not and how this will change / be rolled out to the masses within the next weeks or not?

I was/am LOVING HVC, but I'm just hesitating on investing BIG for now until there is more clear information on whats going on with GPU and what this means for a supposedly "CPU-only" coin.

Still masses of potential but needs some clarity and authority input on this issue.
