The launch and the problems are way behind them. Bringing up old history does nothing. Current price isn't the dev's fault, but a reaction to the seemingly never ending moolah, moopay, alex green news.....of course right or wrong it is what it is BUT, what they are doing IS working.

I am not that sure that problems are way behind. It looks more like we are going from one problem into another, never ending story. Had there been no mess and a little more professionalism, many things would look differently now. Price would be higher, devs would have their funds, investors their return. And even a loss of IPO funds wouldn't hurt that much. It would make sense for price to fall if moolah didn't return sys coins they bought, as you could say that there will be a dump or something and investors are afraid. But in this case there is no such danger. Yet investors are still dumping - it is because they had enough and they are losing confidence. And it was really a story from the beginning.
I will give it more time, no point selling now, but it doesn't look good. And if things turn around, and sys become what it's supposed to be and people start using it for what it's meant to be used, one thing that will hurt the price is regenerated mining. The more sys platform is used, the more coins will go to the miners, and they are certainly not holding this (they will take what they can, it's a free money because of merged mining). I tried to discuss this before, but I think that post was deleted too.

This coin isn't going to die.

Not saying that and certainly don't hope so!

As always though, don't ever put more money into something you can't afford to lose.
Whether stocks, crypto or any other place your money will be at risk.

You are right on this.

I'm waiting a few more days and then i will buy astronomical Grin.

Edit: Price of every coin instantly followes good or bad news. Smart people know what to do.

I wish I had all the BTC I've spent buying SYS on hand today. I'd buy it all Smiley

everyone thinks the same way

Try to catch some at lower prices, bring your average down, this is not the end of dump, there is still no panic.

Thank you for your observation....and how many Sys do you own?
You don't just "pull the plug" on a coin this unique and that has had so much work put into it.
How many times do the devs have to say it....we're not going anywhere.

Close to 1.5 mil, but that's not the point here. The point is that work alone is not enough if you are losing investors. I think that quite a few times things were not managed properly, and that is hurting us all. If you were here from the beginning, you would remember the old thread and the whole mess over there. I tried a few times to discuss what I thought should be discussed, but that was a time when most of the posts were getting deleted, so there was no point. I personally think that sys is undervalued, certainly at these prices, but you cannot go against the market and market is right most of the times. I am just saying that current prices reflect investors sentiment toward sys. If you want price to change, you need to change the way you are doing things, as what we have now is clearly not working. Everything that has happened, happened with the reason. Sys was marketed as a fully developed and tested product, ready for the business, but in the end it was/still is miles away, and you can see how everything that followed is related. We need a good team to improve the picture. A team that doesn't promise miracles, but always over-deliver. You cannot have the same problems with every release.
The loss of IPO funds is very unfortunate, and I can understand how devs must feel. It's really hard to work on the side when you have a demanding day job which takes most of your time. In that regard, I give them my respect, but the way things look right now, it is just not enough. A possible solution would be to try and expand the team with the coins they got from moolah (sys coins) to get things moving faster, as another slowdown would do no good. They should be rewarded in the end if they manage to pull this off, but it looks very hard at the moment.

It's not dead, but initial investors are currently looking at a huge 85% loss on their investment. I know that guys are still working on this, but with all the problems since the start, confidence has been lost. You can probably name a bunch of coins that have less development, but much more stable price, confidence being the difference. 5x below IPO price certainly doesn't mean anything good. That being said, I am still holding, but this is looking more and more ugly by the day. No one can deny that. I hope the project survives, but if the trend continues, eventually devs will have to pull the plug on this, since they obviously depend on the IPO funds. This would be the worst case scenario and we all loose.

Coin does look a little bit unwell at the moment ... devs need to move faster imo, other coins are doing well with very little funding.

Now since it's synced properly all staked coins are generated but not accepted.

I have the same problem. Tried resyncing a few times already, always end up with a bunch of unconfirmed staked coins. Basically anything after 27/8 is unconfirmed Undecided

My whole stake from yesterday (Aug 28th) is rejected. I noticed that every now and then a few of these remain unconfirmed (not accepted), but never all like yesterday. There was even a super block in there Smiley Is there some problem on the network maybe?

Problem with SYS that everyone who wanted it already has it (ICO lasted long) and other people have no reason to buy it. This is why there is no demand.
Yeah, it will be tough recovery. Merged mining together with regenerated fees also going back to miners will bring more dumping every day because it cost them nothing to mine (it's a bonus, free money).

Merged mining = more hash. Not more rewards.
Regenerated fees will reuse the fees, not generate more that does not already exist and is all based on usage. Usage goes up = more rewards for miners.. But will at the same time also require that people get Syscoins from somewhere to actually use the services.
(So yes it is a good thing)

Yeah, I understand how it works. Just saying that I doubt miners will hold what they mine. So as usage rise and more people spend on features, more coins for miners to dump. It's healthy for the network, but we will see what it will do to price. There was too many problems and people lost fair amount of confidence. It will take time and work getting done to restore that. At this point a choice is whether to sell at a loss or hold and wait. One can only hope the latter will prove to be the right one, but you know what they say, you should never rely on hope when trading Smiley

Guys today withdrawal option in bitcoin were removed. I couldnt withdraw anything as there were no option to withdraw in bitcoin.
Anyone else experiencing this?

UPDATE: its back. I dont know whats happening here but it seems these guys are up to something.

Regarding if they are a ponzi: btc-arbs admin was tracked down and now he cant be so sure about his and his family security, if someone else is risking to get into this position let them. It will be even easier to track down Bitcoin-trader.

I did, but I think it's because of the timing. I was trying to cashout a minute or two before deadline which is 4PM GMT if you want the request to be processed on the same day. Maybe they disable new requests for a few minutes when they start processing existing ones. A few minutes later it was back and all went fine.

Btw... danen, have you been credited?

Yep, everything went fine. Funds credited after some 15 confirmations. In reply to ticket they said that the engine can take some time to credit the funds, regardless of the number of confirmations. Also in addition to this, I can second what Soak said, as I ran into the same problem last night. Early this morning, they resolved the issue with the similar explanation. Looks good so far...

You guys are not worried that they lost some funds/coins on gox? Seems a little bit suspicious that they started campaign for new users shortly after gox stopped withdrawals. This is what worries me:

Quote
Bitcoin Trader has removed Mt. Gox as reference exchange rate for BTC/USD deposits and withdrawals. We are very concerned about the current situation and have ceased trading on Mt. Gox as well.

So they used gox for trading, which means that any cash and/or coins they had there are gone. Gox stopped 7/2, and a few days later, we have this: http://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/2014/02/12/bitcoin-trader-biz-let-bitcoin-trader-earn-money/
Sponsored article, means they need new members. Don't get me wrong here, I myself am considering investing in this, just want to share some thoughts.
