as price is going down what is the best stredigy for for altcoin

Probably for this quarter I sold only a number of coins which rose slightly above the prices at which I bought them. It was BCH, ONT, NEO. These are the coins I sold in the 4th quarter.

Will the past repeat itself again like it did last year with ripple where it gained over 1000% and then suddenly dropped down to just few cents, will you invest in ripple or not ?

A project with a large number of manipulative news is very difficult to consider as an investment, because they can also reduce the price in order to earn, and I, as an investor, do not need such movements.

Re: Concerning the future of bounty programs
by
danfred
on 06/01/2019, 11:10:31 UTC
Market downturn is probably one of the main reasons why ICO projects can't last long and joining their bounty program is useless and a time waster. Due to the fact that the market goes into nosedive, ICOs are forced to cash out some funds in order to survive. However, it is not enough which is why some of them decide to cancel their ICOs and return the funds of the investors. It means if you have promoted their ICO way back then as a bounty hunter, your time and effort was put to waste. You might be given tokens, but dormant and unusable.

Been there, done that. I have experienced a lot as a bounty hunter in which all of my hardwork (even some stakes are average to high, sometimes low) was put to waste because of their sudden cancellations, closure of their ICOs, and the worst part is that when we fall of those programs with fake team or so, they would run away with the investors' funds and our reputation would be affected due to promoting them on social media or so.

On top of that, most of their tokens are going downhill the day they started integrating themselves in centralised or decentralised exchanges. Even if they choose to lock it on a certain period of time, it's definitely no use because they're still affected by the dump in which everything is unregulated and uncontrolled.

The future of ICOs and bounty programs are at stake due to the market downturn, and it goes even deeper than that. It looks like it'll take years for us to see the bull run, or maybe no chance at all.

If you are participating in any ICOs or joining as bounty hunters, what do you think about this? Let me hear your opinion on this guys! Thank you.

It is necessary to restructure this sphere and its complete change. A lot of scams and the lack of payments among many projects. Bounty hunters can't work in this environment.

Ethereum became a pioneer, which demonstrated what problems the platform may face if it does not control the project and their number (fast sale of coins/control of these projects of a significant part of the coins of the main network)

In my opinion, it's not a bad time to invest now. Some coins are really very cheap now and I believe the market will recover in the near future.
I want to invest some project such as, Tezos, Cardano, NEM, Dash, Maker, NPXS, Lisk, OmiseGO, Zilliqa, Komodo, Status, Waltonchain, Elastos.
It that a good idea to do it now? Any comments are welcome

Look at blockchain projects from the top 20. They have prepared a lot of news that they simply do not publish, starting from partnership and ending with technical improvements.

Re: Why cryptos are facing such downfall?
by
danfred
on 05/01/2019, 09:40:36 UTC
You name it, I will say it's falling. The rise and fall may be a part of a game, but just in a year, the value is getting less and less. There are several reasons behind it. Like volatility, bad press, stringent government policies, less security and many more.

Are you still investing in cryptos? If yes what do you think is the reason behind it and please share your views so that people who are investing and wanted to invest can learn more.

I believe in the extremely manipulative component of this fall. According to the technical analysis-this simply can not be, but other than manipulation - there is nothing.

If the recovery is immediate and investors begin to slowly return to the market, then I agree with Swami, but so far it looks like an attempt to charge the gun and make a control shot.

This is because several months the crypto currency market has experienced a major outbreak. And start falling btc and expect coins too. As a trader, I feel tension and fear when the market slowly drops due to the garbage market ... What about you who are afraid when the market goes down.

It is quite strange when an investor is afraid for the state of the industry. Before making a decision, he evaluated all the possibilities and decided whether he should invest or not. Now he suddenly got scared... This can't be happening.

Re: Do not invest in ICO anymore. Do not Feed scammers
by

on 02/01/2019, 07:43:56 UTC
ICO era is gone! Stop feeding serial scammers. Stop funding these cash grab nonexistent projects.
The World Do not need new tokens at all. We got enough shitcoin for next 100 years.

Well if there are a real project (With trustworthy Team) which is really willing to distirbute Their tokens! There are Many ways Without Doing ICO!

ICOs should just get funded from VCs and do an airdrop to community.

Most ico can be done open source on github for free.. the greed in creating all of these project is stifling growth. A lot of innovation come from free open source project from passionate developers.

Im 3 years in this field and strictly advice you do not invest in any ico at all.

What Do you think guys ?

What a tough position you have. Personally, I think the ICO era is just beginning. Understand, the mechanism of work is only being developed and improved, and you have already been disappointed in all this.

Re: EOS - Asynchronous Smart Contract Platform - (Dan Larimer of Bitshares/Steem)

EOS.IO is software that introduces a blockchain architecture designed to enable vertical and horizontal scaling of decentralized applications (the “EOS.IO Software”). This is achieved through an operating system-like construct upon which applications can be built. The software provides accounts, authentication, databases, asynchronous communication and the scheduling of applications across multiple CPU cores and/or clusters. The resulting technology is a blockchain architecture that has the potential to scale to millions of transactions per second, eliminates user fees and allows for quick and easy deployment of decentralized applications. For more information, please read the EOS.IO Technical White Paper.

I am in no way connected or affiliated with EOS or block.one. This has kind of become the thread for EOS on Bitcointalk, so I thought I would edit the OP with links and information. OP May 6, 2017:

It sounds like this is essentially Ethereum, but much more efficient seeing as though it has asynchronous processing of smart contracts.

He hasn't released many details yet, but I guess the details will come in after Coindesk's Consensus conference.

Quite an interesting project, which decided to compete with Ethereum And oddly enough, the community accepted this project "Ethereum Competitor". Pretty good start.

Re: Predictiing Cryptocurrency price.. Is it possible?
by
danfred
on 01/01/2019, 08:46:30 UTC
As you know, the cryptocurrency market can see huge changes in a matter of few minutes, making it very unpredictable. However, there are some fundamental factors which can influence the prices of any cryptocurrency. Prediction of Cryptocurrency future price are base on two factors 1) Historical price trends
(2) Historical volume trends. So,  there can not be a single and concrete prediction of any Cryptocurrency because of the very nature of cryptocurrency.

What is your view about Cryptocurrency price?

It is possible to roughly indicate the area of price movement, but it is impossible to accurately predict the price after a certain period. You can search for patterns, but they won't work all the time.

Are you dreaming to launch your own coin and ICO?

How would your project look like? Which problems would be solved?
How would you call it and which abbrevation? (like Bitcoin (BTC))

Would you do a big Bounty and Airdrop to make your project famous?

I'm curious about your plans of creating a new ICO project and your own coin.  Smiley Smiley

The only area for which I would create a cryptocurrency and agreed to run it myself, is the gaming industry. That's where blockchain and cryptocurrency will come in handy. I'd invest in that myself.)

I discovered bitcoin when it was about $5 per coin and during that time for several reasons I could not buy it. I discovered eth and xmr when they were around $10 per coin and I could not find a good place to buy them. I discovered netko when it was about $0.05 and I could not get the wallet compiled. I probably had around 40 bitcoins and cashed them all out under $800 and I could name more.

You?

I have no mistakes as such. Yeah, saw a couple good projects, which could come by and my friends advised. But in the very moment I indeed not saw in them potential, and it turned out that they in soon will shoot.

Re: Video call for KYC verification
by

on 30/12/2018, 10:38:39 UTC
Video call for kyc verification?? Is it possible? Do you think it is the best way , rather than uploading your documents for kyc verification process? Most bounty campaigns and ICOs nowadays required a kyc.

If video call for Kyc verification is possible, what is the best and secure app to you use for video call

Do you think that this data can not be faked? The person who needs to buy an account that has passed your video verification and the result you will spend money on technology and development of all this, and the result will be zero.

In this bearish market, it’s difficult to make profits without thorough research
And almost every portfolio is negative

All I can tell is don’t dump out of fear
Survivor this period and join in packing the dips

Be greedy when others are fearful

Even to survive in such a market has become a routine. I used to think that you can do this for a month, two months at most, but in the end I'm trying to survive for more than six months, it's annoying and makes your discomfort.

Re: Buy and Hold 100 Cryptocurrencies for 5 Years – Official Thread
by
danfred
on 29/12/2018, 10:16:48 UTC
Hello Everyone,

I started an experiment on cryptocurrencies and I will be posting on this thread the updates.

As the title says the experiment consists of buying the top 100 cryptocurrencies by market cap and holding them for 5 years. I spent $1000 and bought $10 of each.

You can see the main article about the experiment from https://buyandhold100crypto.com/buy-and-hold-100-crypto-for-5-years-the-experiment/

The latest article was made yesterday, where after 10 days the gain on the initial investment was doubled Day 10

Feel free to suggest me anything

Thanks a lot

I love people who are willing to experiment to promote their own brand and the industry as a whole. I like your approach with the fact that it is enough to invest in cryptocurrency and that's enough)

Quite a simple strategy. Since I am a day trader, I use 1 rule, which I follow in any situation, regardless of the circumstances. I enter into a transaction of no more than 3% of the Deposit.

Re: Why not buy Ethereum
by
danfred
on 29/12/2018, 10:11:40 UTC
Now I will name just three reasons why you should not buy Ethereum. Of course, you can call an almost infinite number of reasons why you should not buy airwaves, but we are not chasing after quantity, but quality. I believe that these three reasons are enough to not even think about investing in the air.

1. The ether has infinite emission.
Even if there were no other reasons, I would still not have bought Ethereum because of the endless issue. Gold will cease to be gold, if it is endlessly "printed." Did you know about this?

2. Ethereum regularly hosts hurricanes to return, for example, stolen funds and this greatly undermines the decentralization of the coin. In this way,
large investors may be wary of investing in the air because of fear of losing money.

3. The hurdles are conducted only for very large investors, for example, because of the DAO fund. If you steal even one million dollars, you probably will not get anything back. There is discrimination.

What do you think?

All this can change after the departure of Vitalik. These are all functions that are subject to relaxed regulation as necessary. So wait for him to leave and then will buy Ethereum.

You are right, many projects will not recover from this fall. Here's how to understand those coins I bought will be able to recover in the future or do we see them the most?
