BTG is simply another alt that has been created in the midst of all the hype about bitcoin forks.

It is not a long term store of value. It does not have anything spectacular in terms of technology. Nor does it have the first mover advantage (compared to either BTC or even BCH).

Sure, you could make money speculating in the short term. Long term it's definitely not a hold.

Despite the recent spike in exchange rates, BTG has lost its relevance in the cryptocurrency sector. There was a time when BTG used to rank among the top 5 cryptocurrencies. But now it has lost so much of its value, that it doesn't even figure among the top-100 cryptocurrencies in terms of market cap. Along with this, the adoption and acceptability has also declined. It will take nothing short of a miracle to prop up BTG back to the golden days of 2017.

How can you seriously think that some new coin could replace Bitcoin? Looking far ahead, I see that Bitcoin will be the first official cryptocurrency recognized by the states. And do you really assume that just like that, BTC can be displaced and a worthy replacement found?

it is too early to mention bitcoin gold to be one of the replace of bitcoin in the future because there are still many good coins that are more appropriate to replace bitcoin Coin It is Ethereum because Ethereum development always looks good high volume in all markets and quite fast price movements in the market

In my opinion it is definitely impossible for bitcoin gold to shift bitcoin from number one,
until whenever it won't happen so I guess it's just a waste of time thinking about it,

I think people are now adults and maybe they don't invest in bitcoin forks anymore for some reason. especially that a coin fork cannot replace the original coin. Bitcoin will remain king, quite clearly, bitcoin has dominated the market with the dominant exchange rate, you can't deny that fact because bitcoin has consistently and always dominates this cryptoqurrency market.

The discussion about replacing bitcoin every year comes up. I think Bitcoin cannot be replaced by new altcoins. first came the news about BCH. But in fact it can't happen it's just hype that makes BCH prices high. and yesterday YFI because the price exceeds BTC made many people speculate that way. fundamentally and bitcoin history is strong enough. people's trust is high in bitcoin

indeed many people will say that bitcoin gold is not getting successful. but we never know in the future. remember bitcoin up to this point is not easy. took years to achieve and become very popular.

Bitcoin gold is unsuccessful hard fork of BTC. There were a lot of expectations, but happened as usually. Bitcoin Gold is not worth attention at all. Don't know why you are so excited with it. Better to invest in BTC, then in any of its forks.

In my point of view Bitcoin Gold haven't potential. It is groving only thanks to the name, not improvement of technology, it is only using the bitcoin popularity and the FOMO in this alt season period. no one cryptocurrency can replace Bitcoin and this is for sure!

I dont give any trust for a coin which copy another coin names.
Also, i dont see any pros point to have investment on Bitcoin Gold.

Here we go again, I remembered that time when BTG started from the campaign here in the forum my friend told me that they also claimed that BTG can surpass the price of Bitcoin but it didn't happen, and also the price so far was far from the price value of Bitcoin. In short, forget about this BTG and besides there are more altcoins better than this one.
