The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) would reportedly be funding a research program to build a spacecraft which would use the Blockchain technology.
Jin Wei Kocsis, an assistant professor of electrical and computer engineering at the University of Akron, Ohio, has recently received a 330,000 USD NASA grant in support of her research. She said the research program will be examining various applications of Ethereum-based Blockchain technology to develop a computing system which would safe and could be used in deep space.
After putting a virtual ban on cryptocurrencies, the Indian government is planning to come up with a blockchain solution aimed at combatting Indias counterfeit drugs trade. NITI Aayog aims to combat India's counterfeit drugs trade with the help of the Blockchain technology.
To make things clear here, there is no ban for virtual currencies, dealing with the banking system is not possible in the future, but there is no ban in trading in the market. India being a populous country it is true that they produce more fake products into the market and they are competing with China in that aspect , fake medicine is one of the major issues the country is facing as it directly affects lives and this is a major development to counter fake medicine and blockchain made it possible.
If only people knew the facts. I agree with you completely. This could change the healthcare industry in India for the better.

"more than 3.5 billion USD worth of cryptocurrencies have been traded in India" - from the article. Lol, this much volume and this country straight out bans banks from crypto trading. Don't know how tax laws are gonna hold up.

I agree that blockchain could help in combatting fake medicines, but the question remains - will the government actually start doing it?
So these will be my pick for this spring amidst the chaos. Please Share yours. One phrase reason to be attached.
1. VeriMe - It makes KYC, a time-consuming process into a very simple and easy process and this targets a pain point shared by all.
2. Enkidu - It already has a pre-existing user base of 400,000 allowing quick circulation.
3. Cypherium - The companys team is made up of former staff of Google, Amazon, and Microsoft.
*Mine is an updated list. As my opinion keeps changing, I shall update.
Loomia-transforms clothing with IOT and blockchain BABB-will target the unbanked RightMesh-a platform that can help identify nodes (devices) around the world with Ethereum accounts and then allow them to link to each other
I have come across various cryptocurrency names and have found them pretty interesting.
Names are great when they have a reason behind them. Enkidu was my pick for my venture. This name comes from the legend of Gilgamesh, where Enkidu protrays the rebellion against the existing system. I find that perfect because isn't blockchain something that is disrupting the society right now? Even Enkidu's application is something that disrupts the existing business models.
Please share your opinion and if possible, with a reason attached.
It is a brand new way to build the digital business. It allows Trustless Teamwork and Seamless Payment Splitting. It is made by a very dedicated team backed by big advisors like LDJ Capital and Ian Scarffe who believe in the idea. The presale will start in less than 12 hours!
Enkidu is a decentralized global collaboration platform.
Take a look at these ones that caught my attention recently;
Ziqilla, Friendz, Cypherium, Wanchain and DIW token. I believe each of these have their own place in the market, and certainly have enough potential to warrant investing in. I'll definitely dropping a couple hundred into each, possibly more.
Thanks a lot. Even I was considering Cypherium given the experienced team. I will look more into the others.
Cypherium's team consists of former employees from Amazon and Microsoft. I have stuck to Enkidu also and and do believe experty will come out strong. Rightmesh has Forbes in the partner list and many more. So all seem okay.

Wow! I collaborated with truelancer once for freelancers for a small venture. A trustless collaboration was a problem then. Combining blockchain technology with businesses is a great idea. You have truelancer on your side. Great to power up your business.
With all the ICO scams going on and with many of them setting unrealistic goals, having unidentified usage of the tokens and anonymous developers, I want to come out in the open and be available for questions.
Is Enkidu a security or a utility or a currency token?
