patrike ....got your message and in case my response doesn't pass through the email I wanted to say thanks here. That was the issue, soon as I expanded in task manager and did the Maximize option it brought back Awesome Miner for me. So I really appreciate the help. I think I goofed it up when I was messing around with a Virtual Pinball setup on my monitors here when AM was open, but all resolved.

Thanks again!

Anyone having issues with Awesome Miner not showing up after this new Nvidia update?

As soon as I updated Nvidia, I went to restart Awesome Miner and it pops up in my taskbar at the bottom of the screen but no app ever shows up. Did a few reboots, uninstalled and reinstalled but the problem persists.

Thought maybe its my system but I went ahead and tried to manually run T-REX but that is also having issues with this driver from the forum thread and error reports I just seen. Seems I can only get NBMiner running manually for ETH mining but no Awesome Miner at all or many other standalone miners.
I've tried out the latest nVidia 460 drivers and at least Awesome Miner starts and shows nVidia GPU's.
1) Which nVidia GPU do you have? I've only tried with a 2000-series GPU so far.
2) Can you please send me the Awesome Miner log file?
%localappdata%\AwesomeMiner\AwesomeMiner.log
You can send me via:
https://www.awesomeminer.com/contact

At the moment I am just running 1x 2080ti and 2x 1080ti's. I am having all kinds of issues with other software since this update, basically some apps....Awesome Miner included will load but not draw on the screen. So basically you can see it in the taskbar load, see it also over in the quick launch bar on the right but you click on them and nothing pops up. I am running on the latest Windows 10 20H2 version, could also be the issue, I figured try it out but maybe as usual this is another bugged out windows deployment.

Let me grab the log and I will send it to you guys, appreciate the help. Looking at it...seeing a bunch of failures but I am not up on what could be the cause. Have even my antivirus off in case but its always had an exclusion to all folders AM needs so don't think that could be the issue.

Thanks for the log file - I will get back to you on the support request you sent.

I did notice that Awesome Miner is unable to read the nVidia fan speed on the latest 460.79 drivers. I've made an update for this and a new release will be made available later today.

Appreciate the help, maybe with some hope the new update might set my system right with Awesome Miner. I been with you guys since early 2017 and honestly this is the only time I ever had any issue and I suspect its probably just a combination of updates from Windows mixing with the new Nvidia driver. For the time being I got my miners manually on ETH with NBMiner so I am good for the moment.

If you need any more logs or anything from my end to help out just let me know, I will check here and the email address I attached in my support message. No worries though, always said AM been my best purchase in crypto and still remains that way for me.

by
darkhorror2001

What SWAP token are you talking about?
You must be mistaken. As far as I know they don't have any token and even if they had one, what significance would it have on their exchange?

Simpleswap is just an instant cryptocurrency exchange. Beware of scam tokens that may claim to be part of simpleswap.
[/quote]

The site has a Loyalty Program in form of a token called SimpleSwap Coin, I just happened on simpleswap.io myself today so I tested it out and had a smooth run with one transaction so far.

Thing is, I think this Loyalty Program maybe a dead end right now after looking at their smart contract here: https://ethplorer.io/address/0x163c649ac276c5fdcc27db30a1c1f070cb731c04

Was curious to grab some of this token and put it in my new simpleswap.io account to maybe switch to these guys as a daily driver for my mining exchanges but it appears I can't even find this token on most of the eth based exchanges out there. So maybe someone from this project can enlighten if this is even a live option anymore on the site, for the life of me I don't see how you can get their token if the smart contract is showing no movement really at all.

Seems like a worthy fast exchange platform but I am sketched out a little by this loyalty program seeing it seems there is no tangible way to utilize it at the moment due to no route to purchase the key ingredient with this token. I see they list Forkdelta as a means of purchasing this token but when I punch in Swap over there its showing me another token not this one.

Project though seems legit as far as I can tell. I got a fair price on my non-KYC test trade today, so that got me to sign up as a customer but I am not sure if this is still superly active in development or if there is plans to push this loyalty program to a place its easier to utilize. Anyone from the team can let us know, be really cool to know more about that side of the site as a signed up customer.

by

I think Digibyte is not good coin as it has outdated technology behind it Sad

There is no such thing as outdated tech here in CRYPTO!!! That's blasphemy lol...jk. Nah being real here, DGB is just a different kind of Crypto in a sea of Crypto's. This space is still way way young and I been around it a long time enough to know this, stick with proven coins with strong communities and active development. Every project does things different or builds on each other but coins that been around awhile are never old Tech to turn our backs on.

I have a feeling, DGB will have its moment, why I tend to mine up for it now and then and save back. Price dips are just apart of the space, BTC goes up, fluctuation on smaller cap coins and rinse and repeat. This coin I have less worries of in my portfolio....but the key is to only back what you feel right about, how you survive in this game

Is there a version of 0.7.0 still on Git? 0.8.0 just isn't working for me at all. No matter how I try to work around it and static ip it, it just doesn't respond with any form of IP on 0.8.0 not sure what gives, just put raspbian on there and it runs right off the get go.

Thanks for the reply @michelem

Actually still with issues. The heating came after the update and running from the web update, my PI was getting up around 90 C after the update was long done, kind of didn't notice this till about an hour after the fact because I thought the update was fine and it was running on F2POOL, my actual miner was not heating up and its a distance away from the PI itself but for some reason it was jacking up fast off the web update. This is what lead me actually here and figured the route of direct flashing the drive would correct it.

Far as after the flash, I have the PI already set on the static IP setup, I tend to do that after flash every time due to having a lot of devices running on our home network. And its Ethernet, I don't mine via WIFI but its still coming up with that error and the IP attached to it is not registering to my Router still. I am going to try a reflash though in a minute, just to rule out maybe a hiccup in the flashing process which I doubt could cause this issue but hey you never know lol

I did once though have the IP show up on my router, but when I tried to SSH in or direct route through the IP showing, nothing...wouldn't go in so unsure if it was really on there or if I am having some strange issue with my router all the sudden here. I am in Florida so with the coming hurricane I probably will attempt this one last moment today just to get it all configured but its appearing we maybe packing up the old miners and the house and getting the heck out of dodge in a day anyways. No worries though, I really appreciate the help. Been using Minera a bit and love the work you guys are doing on this. I actually work in the cryptocurrency Visio myself so kind of know how developing goes and think you guys are slamming out a really great product here for us miners, probably going to do the donate thing after this storm, was the plan, sick of Ads and you guys deserve a little bit of kickback for this wicked program. Off to tinker some more and troubleshoot, I will pop on again when I get a moment if something else is relevant to this issue, or just to say I got it sorted. Thanks again

So....issues, lots of issues going on with this new update. I did the complete wipe of my previous version on the SD card, did the usual win32diskimager for the new one. Booted up my PI and nothing. I see the login via hdmi from the PI itself...hit minera minera and goes to the usual splash screen but it doesn't register any IP address and I attempted this via many reboots but still no IP to connect to. I tried also from my pc to SSH into it via the old saved IP I used to use to access Minera but nothing.

To further trouble shoot I also went into my router to see if maybe its some hidden IP address change but the device is not showing up at all and its odd because this is directly hooked up to it with ethernet.

Anyone having this kind of issue with the new update?

Now I do see one weird thing on boot screen. The data coming in all appears in the GREEN but I do have a FAILED in the data boot section and it reads like this: [FAILED] Failed to start /etc/rc.local Compatibility

Not sure if that is a sign of something wrong with my build but I figured its in the RED so might mean something. Anyways I spent all night trying to sort this out but nothing seems to work. I will try to pop in tomorrow at some stage with hopes someone can tell me a fix or if I should just return to 0.7.0

Great software, doesn't stop me from loving it, but man what a headache tonight lol. I mainly went the route to manually upgrade via SD Card imaging because I did the web one and my Raspberry PI got up to almost 80 C for some reason after upgrade, and this thing is only a month old so concerned me. Hope I didn't burn something up with the upgrade via web, can't figure why it heated up like that right after but concerning.

Do not ask me why UFO coin came to mind but it did tonight and man am I glad to see you guys are still with this one. Looks like you got ahead with the wallet since the old Bittrex days. I know your no longer there, kind of living on Coinexchange.io at the moment, any plans for movement back out there? I actually now market for Visio, used to market for PIVX till budget issues made me move on. Kind of curious if there are goals on this at this stage or kind of a kick around project for the fun of it, which is fine as well. Either way I think for old times sake, might kick up a few miners on this for a side hold. Might be game to help spread word back on this coin, I mean crypto needs a UFO coin so why not UFO coin ? lol.

Great job either way, Bittrex is a hell of a place, VIsio is struggling to get in on with them ourselves and maintaining that crowd with the short attention spans in crypto is hell lol. Keep the coin going, really and honestly glad to still find out this is being worked on and out there.

Re: Bitcoin Cloud Mining with HashFlare
by

on 30/08/2017, 00:22:53 UTC
Anyone get an issue when buying Hash with EMC where it goes well over the suggested 120 minute mark and becomes TIMED OUT in your HISTORY? I purchased 0.48 TH/s earlier today and the hash purchased on HASHFLARE is stuck in that state even though on the EMC blockchain it shows sent.

Did the support ticket game but it appears that could be a week before response so figured I would ask the regulars here if this is just something that will resolve itself or something to be concerned with. Reason I ask is because I have many more upgrade purchases planned ongoing from my actual physical miners on a daily basis on Hashflare but this is the 2nd larger purchase I have made with this constant EMC turns to TIMEOUT issue. Guessing that is not the best route to purchase hash??

Any help or words of its okay it will show up would be awesome lol. Overall though I like the HASHFLARE setup but this little issue is a bit concerning

Quick question, how would I go about moving the APP Data folder to a secondary hard drive for your wallet? I am kind of limited on my m.2 drive where it stores the app data folder due to being only 250 gb and its about ate up. I have done this with other wallets but they tend to have an option to install on drives of our choice but not finding an option on this one. Any help would be appreciated, I tend to host my own wallets vs online for holdings so I would like to run the wallet if possible.

I begun uploading my decade long project Kill Moment In Frame to your great service, Musicoin has resparked interest in me to create for everyone again, been many years since I recorded so I believe I will begin dabbling again. I actually toured professionally with many metal acts back in the day and have a lot of solid connections, so plan on making some connections to share your website to see about getting you some new talents involved. Its definitely a great project for us musicians so hopefully I can help in a small way when I find time, I work in VISIO and run their marketing so time can be a hassle but I will do what I can on the side due to belief in this one.

Anyways great job, new to the project but enjoying the setup so far. About to scrounge up some more of your coins on the exchanges with my miner earnings later when I get this wallet sorted out. Keep up the great work!

I actually ran the marketing for PIVX and now over at VISIO at the moment. Do a little coin boosting freelance work. If you ever need some help with getting word out there let me know. In the meantime I believe I will do some side investing with you as it appears to be a good coin to come up with early on.

Oddly I found out its still listed on this exchange: https://bter.com/trade/sfr_btc

it does appear to be dead but you can still mine it on ispace.co.uk , I am gonna try something crazy today, mine it and see if I can revive this on the exchange above today. I have pulled this trick slightly once before and though that exchange up there isn't the best...maybe we can spark life back into this dried up old coin lol.

EDIT: NEVERMIND!!!! Turns out even the above exchange delisted this coin, so I guess there is no hope for this coin anymore....sorry everyone, I tried lol

Anyone know much about this new coin SMF on YoBit? Added today 2/9/17
by
darkhorror2001
on 09/02/2017, 16:51:52 UTC
I decided to ask you guys about this one because I had a little luck with this new coin added to the YoBit exchange called SMF...seeing a little buzz in trollboxes across a few exchanges but not really finding a lot of info about what this coin is or any official slack or site at the moment.

Reason I have interest...I somehow got in low today...right before a mini pump up and happened to turn $8 usd to $70...definitely got off that train at the top.....but I am starting to get curious if this could be a sign of possible things to come and debating on getting back on seeing its gotten a lot lower there than my original buy in and seems to have a stable trend going on for a new coin dropped on an exchange. I really tend to do serious research before I long any coin or ride it a few times for short profits...so wondering if any of you know where I can gather more info and decipher if scam is involved or some new awesome tech is attached to this coin. Either way, love what its done for me lol...can't complain but the greed is thick in me to see if I can do it again lol
