Also can you PM me total price with shipping to Toronto?

Hah,
That's exactly my daily driver. Except instead of 2 vega's, I have a vega and 1080ti.

One video card is for my linux host, the 1080ti is idle unless i spin up either my windows virtual machine for gaming, or the mac VM, for random graphics work. This a beast of a set up, for every compute task. Even have my VR set up in a VM.

The iommu groups are really nice on this mobo too.

Hi

Would you be willing to ship one unit to Toronto?

If so I'll gladly buy one without the controller or power supplies. Shipping may be more expensive. Let me know if that's the case.

Is zen on suprnova down for anyone else?
When is the fork happening?

Down for me too, came home to crazy fan noise, thought the miner kicked the bucket, turns out only had one pool programmed into it Tongue

Shipping update coming soon.
5 days later and not a single update. What is going on?
Why don't you just stop with this and refund?

Probably because those coins were lost on a 50/50 satoshi dice bet Tongue
But kidding aside this is getting frustrating having btc locked up/potentially lost for so long...

Still waiting here too!

I've seen multiple other group buys finish and people receive units! This group buy is taking way longer than any other. And there is not enough communication!

Can anyone that is more knowledgeable with code explain to me why the controller is able to disable the BTC core when only mining Scrypt, yet connected to windows PC the cores activate and stay idle?  Sorry ive mentioned this many times but its really starting to bother me that its wasting power an I would like to understand it better.  Thanks in advance.

Are you using cpuminer or cgminer? There's a specific set of bytes you have to send to the controller that tells it to disable the BTC units. cpuminer does this, and that's what the controller is using afaik, whereas cgminer doesn't.

I've noticed that even when just scrypt mining the controller board runs cgminer with the following parameters(run a ps command while scrypt mining)....

/www/soft/cgminer --dif --gridseed-options=baud=115200,freq=850,chips=5,modules=1,usefifo=0,btc=0 --hotplug=0 -o stratum+tcp://[your.pool.com] -u [your.username] -p [your.password]

so there is a possibility that one of these statements causes the cores to shutdown and draw no power

Hi all

I received all my units. Below is a couple of pictures of the temporary set up. I made my own power connectors out of male molex 4 pin power connectors with the 12 v line powering 2 gridseeds. I'm using 2.5X5.5 plugs, and although they fit and work, they are kind of loose. I might try something different for a next batch. This is connected to a 600 watt computer psu. I don't have a killawatt, but i might pick one up today to really see if these acutally draw so little power. They are kind of noisy but i plan on sticking them in a garage so noise shouldn't be an issue.

Can you list the specs for your PSU or model, also how many did you wire to the psu and what is your setup here. I have a few PC PSU's lying around and these looks like a better option for me then wasting money on some something on ebay.

I'll get more detailed pictures of the connectors I made when I get home tonight. As for the PSU its a 650 watt thermaltake that I've had for about 2-3 year now...

Maybe someone can answer this for me as I know very little about these devices: do you need the wiibox controller for these to work or can you run them right through a usb hub to your PC, if you can run them through your PC without the box what software's can you use. Currently I use CGMiner for Scrypt

From the looks of it the wiibox is just a small linux device running minerd, There have been people that ran these on windows pc, and there has been some Raspberry Pi development. But things are still in the experimental area since this hardware is so new. It's one of the reasons I want a couple, see if I can get these mining on a Pi with a self modified version of cgminer.

Hi everybody

So I replied early on this this thread that I would be interested in 10 unit with escrow. And looks like I'm in the preliminary shipment of units. So I put down my payment with squall1066. I'll take pictures and videos of the units once they arrive.

I've found that if i let my antminer get to 10 Celsius(on board reading) while mining, it has a tendency to constantly reboot. If I use a IR thermometer it usually reads -20 C. I think the super low temperature could be doing funny things with the electrolyte in the capacitors. So now I have it in a container that has a small vent, inside the box while mining it's usually around 10 C and the miner itself reads 35-40 while the IR shows 0-10C on the caps themselves. Could also be the PSU since it's in the same box...But anyways that's been my experience with mining in the frigid north.
