It seems that is the case tat is gonna happen if the economy collapses but not all of the money goes to crypto I guess, there is also other traditional investments. Putin was saying that current rules just won't won't anymore and it has to be broke but he did not say we should be making crypto as a solution at all. I do not think that you will find a lot of the guys, who will support you. Ethereum is the best altcoin, but it cannot still compete with Bitcoin.

bitcoin do have practical use and that is for paying , buying , for investing , trading , etc...
bitcoin could be damaging to the economy in the form of bitcoin mining where too much heat is released from mining hardware . bitcoin can also damage the economy if bitcoin is used in a wrong way due to its anonimity feature where you cant be easily traced if you'v done something wrong .
I do not think that the amount of this heat can bring some damages. It even sounds funny. Bitcoin has a practical use for people that trade it and make money holding it for long as well.
My prediction about cryptocurrency bitcoin and altcoin will be more profitable at the future with raised to higher price, by many companies have accepted bitcoin I think right now is the best moment for us to invest in bitcoin and altcoin.
