I've said before, Im a long HOLD on EAC.  I've caught a glimpse of what the devs are working on and perhaps they will not be the first to market, Or perhaps they will run into technical issues and marketing hold-ups.   However,  like with most this new industry.   Crypto rewards the patient.  

The biggest issue EAC faces now is that the coin has been so stagnant that *everyone* will be itching for a way out at the first break-even.  So the moment the real break-throughs come and the coin starts to gain major traction it will be pummeled to oblivion by a billion coins being dump constantly.    If after that smoke settles, and all the wealth of EAC has switched hands I think EAC will do some interesting things.

I have some news to share.

The Chinese marketing team of EAC has turned silence for a long time. The leader of the group, named "莫名其妙", has turned off 3 wonderful offers from Chinese trading sites in last month. If EAC had ever hit one of those website, i am sure the price will at least double!!  
I argued with him today, he told me devs didn't give him a cent for marketing. Right now,everything is out of him own pocket. (please confirm)  After that he keeping talking and talking on some random topics. By the way, it's not a secret that he is a teenager and has mental problems.(not kidding)   He is using a NAZI general as his profile pic on EAC china!

The marketing in china right now is a nightmare. There is no marketing at all. The only thing they did is turn off offers and block connection from devs and trading sites.
  

For that reason above, We just launched a new marketing group in this week, all of us have investment in EAC, and we love see EAC could hit some mainstream trading sites. We hope can hear from devs for any support and authorization of representative. We are contacting with Bter, BTC38, Guogao and Yibi. Hope we can have good news from them soon.

What is all this, sexual tension?

For all the people screaming about tree-huggers, hippies and low values:

The EAC forest campaign is not the the be-all- and-end-all of Earthcoin,  it's not it's sole purpose. It is part of the promotion of the coin. We already have contributions towards the trees (thanks to those who did!!!   ), jaguars, hungry people in Australia and Spanish greyhounds. Once the trees start getting planted, Earthcoin will receive valuable and hard to get publicity across the world in non-geek publications, it will bring in new users to crypto, it will provide a talking point (well, it already has!).

I'm not sure why some here seem to think that this coin should have made them rich within three-weeks without any effort on their part, I can't tell you why they feel it is owed to them except to say their attitudes display a remarkable ignorance of business, promotion and opportunity - they would appear to be gamblers rather than investors. I recommend that they frequent forums more suited to their attitudes, you know, those ones that yell "To the moon!" repeatedly, as though this incantation will make gold rain from the sky.

Earthcoin is already reaching out to to a new demographic and generating publicity that is not just about volatility and people losing millions of BTC on their hard drives. It is generating good, worthwhile and not-at-all-scary  coverage. This will separate it from the hundreds of dead-end, p&d coins out there that will just disappear after making the devs a bit of cash. Many of these other coins would be considered a fraud in a regulated market.

In the coming weeks we will be planting our first trees. Websites, newspapers, radio and maybe TV will follow it up and EAC will begin to have significance beyond these rather incestuous, geeky and specialist forums.

EAC will begin to have genuine real-world value.

Allow me to introduce myself, I am sussex and I represent the Green Organisation - we are collaborating with Earthcoin to grow an Earthcoin forest as part of our re-forestation projects.

We approached Earthcoin at the beginning of the week and have thrashed out an idea which, we think, will give EAC a unique selling point and a prominence that no other coin has been able to achieve, even BTC hasn't grown a forest! Coupled with the fast transaction times, honest and dedicated devs and this interested, intelligent and pro-active community, we think we're onto something. We're not sure what, but definitely something.

Look at what has been achieved by this coin even before it hits a big exchange - this is different.

So, what can I tell you?

We don't have a location for the forest yet, there are locations available worldwide. At the moment, Haiti is in dire need of help and is certainly on the list, but it could be anywhere.

We don't just plant trees for the environment, we also take into consideration the needs of locals and will plant varieties that can be used for sustainable logging, or maybe fruit trees. This ensures that the local populations are interested and open to our ideas. We also plant trees to prevent soil erosion, flooding, drought, all sorts of things. We are well into a tree planting project after the tsunamis which helps to re-instate the land and make it safe, usable and a bit more tsunami proof should the catastrophe hit them again

We are absolutely non-activist and non-political. We don't believe embarrassing people into action is always the best way. Slowly, slowly, catchy monkey. We've been operating for around twenty years, internationally.

We are not a charity. We are non-profit.

We work with many, many organisations across the world, big and very small. Perhaps the biggest feather in our cap is our connections to the United Nations, with whom we work on the tree planting projects, amongst others.

We also have very good political contacts in the UK government and will be espousing the brilliance of EAC to them at every opportunity, we are going to push this as hard as we can.

The director of the Green Organisation has many years experience in journalism and one of his staff is also ex- Fleet Street, we understand how the media works.

I know that Earthcoin is snowed under, he has been taken aback by the speed of events, so if you have any questions about this specific project or our involvement, feel free to direct them to me.

We will run this project transparently. We will provide monthly accounts and anyone can see our wallet on the blockchain, when we get it sorted.

Yes, I did read it.
But that's not really our concern, whatever happens to coinye, we can't do anything about it.
Situation is that it looks like that we might not be listed so soon ( or not at all) at cryptsy.
So, we have to make plans, to get listed on other exchanges. As far as I can see, China is important.
Yesterday, I posted about a voting on www.guogao.com (but you have to be registered, I heard). The funny thing, I was registered, but can't remember I ever did that ( don't speak chinese). Then in China we have www.bter.com and www.btc38.com. According www.bter.com, I am not really enthusiastic. There is little trading, I have an account there and had a lot of problems cashing out last week. I got an error code and support never answered my mail. Finally, I installed qq and had to try to explain an not english speaking chinese that something was wrong. After a couple of days, I finally was able to cashout. As far as I can see btc38 is the place to be, but we were listed and taken off again.
To me it looks like we need to search really hard for the right chinese speaking guy that  can help us further regarding getting a listing at btc38 ( and maybe bter).

I hope so much that all these noobs, complaining about the 2% premine and the dev not willing to give full info about his EAC holdings, will stop posting.
In a market that is going on for a couple of years it is impossible to come on top without the use of a lot of money ( coins). I have seen it in other businesses, coming in "late"you need an excellent product, huge dedication and a lot of money, to have a chance to succeed.

As far as I can see, the product is good, the dedication is fantastic, but don't take the money away.

Maybe we should turn it the other way. I think, the dev does a great job and earns a reward everytime we make money by holding EAC coins.

we need a financial promise. eac has fast transactions and thats a clear advantage, but neither on chinese websites nor on eac's official webpage is that clearly advertised.
i mean... the concept says... green earth... good future... equality... but how about: WE SPARE TIME, WE SPARE ENERGY, FAST TRANSACTIONS...

for a busy business person is that a way better reason to invest than in green earth ...

am i wrong?
