Re: Why is the Crypto Market going down?
by

We are at the end of the cryptocurrency bubble according to eth founder vitalik buterin. With all the etf rejections, people quitting crypto, scam projects, everybody pulling money out instead of investing, the year has really been a glum one for crypto. Lets look to next year.

lol. funny. depends on how old you are now and at what age you want to marry. other altcoins you might be interested in are privacy coins in my opinion. They have utility and will be around a long time  but the only issue is that there are so many of them now in such little space and there is stiff competition. only the tech advanced will last. so research privacy coins and invest in them.

Re: Time to move to BTC

you are right. the whole bull run will be dependent on btc dominance as most will move their money from alts to bitcoin. The earlier you buy into bitcoin the better. but the issue is, what if the bull doesnt come and you sold your positions in these alts for nothing. its never a good idea to keep all your eggs in one basket thats the need for diversification of portfolio.

Its quite good if that system works for you. For me I just keep holding and ive learnt some tough lessons for holding blindly. Watched my coins go from ath to zero and I keep holding. I don't really know what I'm waiting for. I believe my holding and selling decisions would get better with experience.

I totally agree with you. Most investors now are doubting their investment decisions due to the statrvof the market over the past 8 months. Most are scared they would lose their money if they invest and as long as this continues, I doubt there would be any  real growth in crypto. Just more desperation and fear. Which is never a good thing for a market.

Re: How Far are we from the bull run
by

Most of usbin the crypto space now are just hoping that the happenings of last year endings repeat itself though we have seen no signs that it will be so. The market has been bear for so long and most of us have forgotten what a bull run looks like. I fear that if we do not see a bull this year, many will pull out and next year bear market would be even worse.

Re: Will Ethereum fail if Vitalik dies?

Really I think it will just cause panic for a short while but subsequently, somebody else will take The mantle and move the project on wards. There will be a little blip surely especially with the rise of competing platforms but it will survive. Ps, I hope vitalik stays around for a long long time. He is one the the strongest players on the crypto space.

It usually makes most sense to buy when prices are low and resell when they are high but with the long bear market we have had this year, I doubt anybody knows right from let in investing anymore. You just create a plan and trust your instincts. If you are a newbie, educate yourself and watch past trends. That will be a better way to ensure correct investment decisions. Nobody can give you solid financial advice with this market.

Re: Bull Market is coming on October to December

Him being the a top ranked official in binance doesn't mean he has a crystal ball. I'm not believing any of these because I've been believing all year and in the end nothing. I'd just keep my fingers crossed and follow worthy projects. When the bull comes , it comes. We need a huge influx of cash to cause a ripple and reset all the outgoings over the past few months in the crypto space. Most polls show there are less participants in the crypto space than there was last year and we need a reversal in this trend for a strong bull to hold.

Re: Future of ICO?
by

on 04/10/2018, 08:35:27 UTC
This has been a recurring situation over the past year on crypto. Plenty ico scams flooding the market with project ideas that already exist and have absolutely no need for. The thing is most people still keep falling for this so there's no incentive to stop. People will lose trust in icos as this Goes on and when genuine projects come out, they won't be able to raise the money needed. Everybody loses

Re: Is it worth buying low-volume tokens?
by
davisagughalam
on 04/10/2018, 08:14:33 UTC
Yeah it's generally good buying low volume  coins. They generally tend to go higher in prices than the ones with idiotic supplies. Billions and billions of tokens without proper project idea. Even the ones with low volume , one has to be careful before buying into them because it doesn't guarantee that the project will succeed .

Re: Why creating more coins.

I totally agree. Most coins have the same goals and functions in mind so why even create new ones doing the same thing. Why create new exchanges when the ones already existing are not even used up to full capacity. I think it stems from greed. They've seen how much money is there to be made by owning some of these projects without minding the impact on the market. If our efforts are more streamlined towards a few coins as you said, we would have much better rewards. United we stand, divided we fall.

Patience is the key yes but there is a question I saw on a previous thread that peaked my interest. What exactly are we waiting for and being patient about?. Everybody is talking about patience but there's really no indication to what we should he waiting for. Just hope that the end of the year is like last year but that's all it is. Hope.

Re: Is Late to Invest in Cryptocurrencies?
by

Vitalik once said we are at the end of the cryptocurrency bubble and I'm now believing it. Everything just looks gloomy and currently , nothing to point us in the upward direction. It's definitely too late to invest and expect highs of 2017 but maybe a little high. Just not as huge.

I'm totally lost as to where the bottom is. Prices keep finding new bottoms daily. I used to think 1 dollar was bottom for one of my coins but it's at .3 dollars now. Testing .2 . Trying times indeed but we just have to stick to holding for we holders. Trading on the other hand looks to be a good way to go in these times due to the volatility. That requires a little more risk and time to perfect though.

by

Choose the ones you think have potential to be worth something and have a good project idea and hodl them. For the others, you can sell and invest in other projects of your choice. Holding is not easy tho as there will be downs during the hold and you just have to stick to your gut and see it through. Patience is The key in crypto. Quick money grabbers don't make it here.

To be honest we don't all know what we are waiting for as everything now is speculation. From the sec etf for bitcoin to an influx of cash from big Spenders. The more people are leaving crypto, the more the market is falling. Well, we all hope for a better future. Most of us are just optimistic for the end of the year because of last year happenings. Hope we are not wrong.

its actually all true your accusations. greed runs the whole thing now, its actually amazing how  far off satoshi's vision we have come and this state of affairs will give the SEC further reasons to never accept the bitcoin etf because it can never be controlled. i'm quite positive that with time , most of the bullshit coins will fade out leaving only the serious guys behind. i also blame eth for building an easy platform that scam coins can build off of.

nothing else to do but keep a clear head and hold your position. dont try to rush into any too good to be true trades to try to earn back your losses as you'd end up losing more. many of us have been in that situation and it never ends well. hold. when alts bull run comes, you'd cover your losses.

Re: How do you determine a good ICO project?
by
davisagughalam
on 21/09/2018, 08:44:28 UTC
for me, first of all , they have to have a working platform down before anything else. good community, strong project idea, available developers willing to take questions and not just get vexed every time a question about the future is asked. Though a project having all these can still be scam, but it is considerably lesser risk by the time you factor in all these requirements.
