BMC to accept donations for Cebu and Bohol Earthquake
Monday 8am. Magnitude 7.2.

 http://newsinfo.inquirer.net/files/2013/10/bohol-quake7.jpg

This was the deadliest (and first) earthquake in Cebu and Bohol which occurred on Monday, October 14, 2013. We just barely had the chance to reconnect all our internet connections. Bohol has been declared as the state of calamity since it was where the epicenter started.

I think he means Mercury is not on the website.

Well, Mercury was an ASIC by KNC prior to Saturn, offered at 100Ghash, officially discontinued.

You are totally missing the whole point of bitcoin, MR THREAD STARTER.

Bitcoins are earned NOT THROUGH MINING.

Open ur mind, and think outside the box:
1. I get bitcoins if I buy from Mtgox. I EARN INTERESTS.
2. I get bitcoins by doing online services. i EARN BITCOIN SALARY.
3. I get bitcoins by online donations. iEARN BITCOINS PASSIVELY.

...
4. I start to think about mining:
-I buy a new rig.
-I get frustrated by the price.
-I hope to get bitcoins.
-I start my new expensive dual 7990 HD Radeon rigs (around 46 of them, total hash rate is 100GHash/sec)
-I wait for a month.
-I scream "WTF!! OMG!! I only got 5000 USD for my 42,000 USD investment on hardware??!?"

-I sell all my equipment on the buy an sell section at half the price and go back to number 1.

One of the many things I have noticed regarding the stunting tactics. This "perceived slide" actually worked a few days ago and cause the price to quickly plummet.

Hi i have a similar issue. Can i use the two pci-e slots of this motherboard simultaneously for mining? The board does not support crossfire and so i was wondering why they put two slots there for no purpose.

Any help is appreciated.

Also, while I appreciate what you are trying to do, Who are you? No post count, late '12 join date, and no reputation make me extremely apprehensive sending you 100's of BTC worth of hardware.

Sorry, I missed your post I am rather busy working on the development and was offline last weekend.
1. You will order from an officially registered company in Germany, the order is a legal contract between the customer (you)
and the company (me) that both sides have to honor, or face legal consequences.
2. I won't receive any chips until July, and I will demonstrate a working Miner with the sample chips from Avalon by that time.
You are free to have your chips sent elsewhere if I don't.

Can you name the officially registered German company please? Thanks, A.

Hi, i find it difficult to have to buy from another guy then have it shipped to you. Im a big fat dumb guy.

Can I:
1. instead, pay you directly based on my required specs and estimated shipping?
2. wait until the final item comes to my door?

Re: Is it still profitable to build a mining/gaming rig at this time?

I've been mining solidly for a week about now. I happened to have a 6870 already, without having any thought about mining.

I have made about .18 BTC and lived with a lot of noise and increased power. It was fun, but the way the market it is, I feel that I could make more money on an exchange...

But then we have the problem with the exchanges charging 0.6 % per transaction, which comes down to 1.2 % per trade.
Now that is all fine and good as long as the bitcoin is flying all over the place, as soon as it doesn't though...

Exactly. But When you're seeing the price fluctuate by $10-$20 a day on average...

Unless you can predict the rise and fall, income will not be as good.

I have a number (19) of Sapphire 7950s that have been doing well, and a few of the Gigabytes. GPU mining profitability will continue to sink with the SHA256-hashed coins due to ASIC I'm thinking, but we still have a lot of life in scrypt probably (e.g. Litecoin, Novacoin, Feathercoin).

Thanks for this reply. Any recommendations where I can buy? My town sells this at $536 per card for the sapphire one and $292.56 for the powercolor brand. I was hoping if I can get it cheaper at other stores [they dont offer bulk discount for either sapphire or powercolor; there are no other brands available too]
