The problem I have with investing in ico's is that whether you invest with btc or eth, btc or eth is most likely to outperform those tokens anyway.

I use the BlockFolio app to track my profit and loss and $ wise it appears as if I made huge profits, but when you view it in btc, most of my ico investments have been far outperformed by btc or eth.

Had I kept the btc, my portfolio would be worth substantially more.

Even the last two I invested with eth, if I had kept the eth, I would have had 3x more in $ terms.

I will keep mining and wait for the next good news such as Bittrex listing. 0.5 USD per SIGT would be nice.

I had an order to sell at 3500, but I canceled it. I think after Bittrex price will be 6000-8000,of corse, not 0.5USD, but better than now. I wish we have 0.5 USD, but I doubt we see the price in nearest future.

everything is possible. :-)

I sold some of what I mined at 4500 and then it started to back down till around 2700. I was kinda lucky. I needed the cash.
But still mining SIGT. This time I target 6000+ levels as well. 0.5 looks far away but this is crypto.
SIGT provides good chances for ROI.

I hope DGB does the same as was mining DGB before I noticed SIGT and kept it.

If I may ask, which algo are you using to mine DGB and with AMD or NVIDIA?

According to whattomine.com, for me, its rather low on the list of profitability using Myriad-Groestl with mostly AMD RX470's.

The best profits for DGB would be mining Skein with Nvidia GPUs. I don't think it's a very good option for AMD GPUs, with any of the algorithms.

Thanks, wish I backed team green from the start .....

Just discovered and using this from ethos (Ubuntu) and so far, seems like I'm getting about 20% hash rate improvement on RX470/570/580, so the 1% dev fee is definitely worth it.

These are stock values, no o/c (all cards are bios modded for eth mining though).

RX 470 = 14.59 - 15.3 mh/s
RX 570 = 15.8 mh/s
RX 580 = 18.65 mh/s

Thank you, Great job!

Will continue to check in to see when you fix the eth issues, would be great to have another alternative eth miner and maybe even more mh/s than claymore ?

Less profitable than zec now.

Darn, wish I had known earlier, saw people mining 4000+ per day, but it was fun mining this for a few days, managed to mine 457. Will hodl it and move onto something more profitable, but continue to watch this.

I expect many miners to jump ship, this will likely reduce the hashrate and difficulty and reduce the inflation rate, so it might become worthwhile in a few days or weeks depending on the price.

[...], but with the coming halving in about 5hr, wonder if it will still be worth mining this.

Definetly yes, either the Diff drops because specs think that there aint be any more profits or the price will rise again to a new level where it becomes profitable again.

When the adding to a top exchange is completed, price will be driven crazy again so theres lots of potential.

Made a newbie mistake, quoted the next post Smiley

Thanks for your spin on it, I'm cautiously optimistic, just mining and hodl for a few days, nothing to loose, just less eth Smiley

Tell us the settings for mine with amd pls i have one rig amd and i would to use it for mining sigt

Honestly, don't bother. Mine ZEC if you are on AMD.
getting 113 mh/s on my 7x rx 470 4gb rig
I would say same

Thanks, I'm cautiously optimistic, just going to mine and hodl for a few days with the hope it goes to the moon, if not, I've still taken a chance and did it !

Struggled for days to get the AMD cards working on ethos, finally nailed it.

My GTX 1070 cards (using pimpos) outshine the fastest 480/580's I have by a factor of almost 2 x . The RX 470/570's do 12-13mh/s.

The best I get with RX580 is about 15 mh/s (power level 5) GPU clock 1180, mem clock ~1950-2000, the gtx 1070's give 26 mh/s at 130W TDP with -I 21 and memclock + 1150.

Would be interested to hear what can be done to improve, but with the coming halving in about 5hr, wonder if it will still be worth mining this.

Starting to think all these posts about 4gb 570 ELPIDA cards hashing over 28 are fake.

Possibly thats a Gigabyte RX 580 8gb card doing the 30s and he didn't read the topic.

I got both 570 gigabyte models coming in about a week (Aorus and Gaming)... Will post the results here.

Bought one of these Gigabyte RX570 4GB Gaming  cards to try it out and so far utterly disappointed.

Win 10 wouldn't recognize it along with my Sapphire RX470's rear blowers (love those) no matter what, so I unplugged all the Sapphire's, plugged this is and restarted in safe mode, used DDU to uninstall the driver, restarted, then installed the latest AMD Driver, upon which it got recognized. When I removed it and plugged in the Sapphires, windows wouldn't recognize then, so had to boot into safe mode, DDU and start again and let windows automaticaly recognize and install the driver.

It has Elpida memory, so I did the same bios updates as on the Sapphire's, i.e. copy 1500 timings to the higher numbers.

Underclocking the GPU to 1100 and overclocking Memory to 2000 like I do with the Sapphires, resulted in total instability and still only 25 mh/s - the Sapphires all yield 28.2 - 28.5 mh/s

I added this to my ethos (after updating to 1.2.1) rig and it was recognized. It will start out hashing at 28 mh/s for a minute, then drop down to 24.5 - 26.5 but with a very high incorrect / rejection rate.

Just changed the amdgpu settings with memory clock at 1920 and now it seems to be hashing at 27.175 constantly. So its at least 1mh/s slower than the Sapphire's and seems to be drawing much more power. Definitely not going to build a new rig with all of these.

Trying solo mining, downloaded gmc-windows-4.0-amd64.exe and followed the instructions on musiccoin web site, i.e. started gmc like this:

gmc-windows-4.0-amd64.exe --rpc --rpcaddr "192.168.1.4" --rpcport 8545

...
0410 22:05:23.322342 node/node.go:366] HTTP endpoint opened: http://192.168.1.4:8545
...

It synced the whole block chain, then I tried genoil ethminer-0.9.41-genoil-1.1.7

ethminer -G -F  http://192.168.1.4:8545 -O 0x...... --opencl-platform 1

But it consistently gives this error:

Found suitable OpenCL device [Ellesmere ] with 4294967296 bytes of GPU memory

erase this = --opencl-platform 1

Without that switch it doesn't recognize my AMD rx470's

You shouldn't have to setup the RPC port to 8545 specifically.

Try just running: gmc-windows-4.0-amd64.exe --rpc console in a command window or a batch file.

Allow for full chain sync.

Then on your miner use: ethminer.exe --farm-recheck 200 -G -F http://localhost:8545  -O

-G is graphics and -F is the getwork proto that will look to your local IP.

Didn't make any difference, I even disabled windows firewall, still doesn't connect. Perhaps this latest gmc release has a problem ?

Thanks, I see my balance was paid out.

I tried the other two pools listed music coin and unfortunately their hash rate isn't enough to make it profitable for me to mine there.

Its like the chicken and egg problem, there are other pools, but how to get miners to come if they won't make a decent income.

With the recent pumping of just about every coin, the profitibility of just about every ethash coin has plummeted as so many new miners are joining in the feeding frenzy.

I found the sample problem mining eth and etc, hash power is concentrated in a few pools, you just don't stand a chance making much on the smaller pools. We all paid dearly for our hardware and ongoing electricy and the constant checking for down rigs etc that we can't afford to miss days of making hardly anything.

Those big pools are so over crowded, the payouts are getting lower and lower, nowhere near what whattomine says.

Currently mining on the NomNom.technology pool, payments stopped yesterday and I have a bigger balance in my pending balance than paid balance.

I checked other miners on the pool and it looks like no one has been paid recently.

I tried to go to their slack to file a report, but I don't have any of the email addresses required to sing up.

If the owners of NomNom.technology see this, please check your pool and make sure you pay your miners otherwise they will defect to other pools.

Hope my other ICO's make up for this loss.

Hope the scammers suffocate on their stolen BTC's.
