Looks like I missed this one. I had at first thought that the end time was fixed, and when I saw that it wasn't I had other things that needed doing, and I couldn't sit in front of the computer for what I thought might be another 4 hours or so.
Maybe someone will resell me some.
Again, I would like to suggest that instead of auctions on the forum, that the coins be sold in the webstore like always, but that the store have a minimum order quantity or value that can be used to ensure that orders are of a wholesale nature, and ease the burden of processing them, which is the point, isn't it? Or maybe I have it wrong...

If everyone stops mining, then transactions will stop being confirmed. Of course, that will make it very profitable for someone to start mining again since they will get all the blocks and all the transaction fees. Then others will start mining too because they will see the opportunity to get some of that profit. What makes you think everyone would ever stop all mining?

I think you obviously didn't know what i mean: Bitcoin is NO Ponzi now. Until everyone stops mining. I don't think that but who knows.If that were to happen, the code would change to expand the limit, and everybody would upgrade.

Not the whole network, only the major part of it. There are many "new" and only a few "old" miner. Maybe the new one want a greater piece of the cake? Why shouldn't they outvote the early adopters?But only if the whole network agreed...
