Re: PhoenixMiner 5.8c: fastest Ethereum/Ethash miner with lowest devfee (Win/Linux)
by

The  new  version  is  finally  ready.  You  can  download  PhoenixMiner  5.8c  from  here:

PhoenixMiner_5.8c_Windows.zip Github
PhoenixMiner_5.8c_Linux.tar.gz Github

Changes in version 5.8c :
  • Full LHR disable mode -lhrdis <n>  1 - yes (default), 0 - no
  • Added lock core clock
  • Fixed an issue causing crashing with some RTX 3060/3080/3090 cards
  • Implemented new "turbo" kernels (-clkernel 3) for AMD Polaris cards that can work with the current DAG sizes over 4 GB. Note that -clkernel 3 uses double the VRAM and will
provide slightly faster hashrate with slightly higher power consumption. You can use the -rvram command-line parameter to specify how much VRAM to be left unused
  • Increased the maximum supported DAG epoch to 600 (i.e. until about Sep 2023)
  • Implemented full hardware control for AMD RX6900/6800/6700 cards under Linux. Note that with these cards under Linux you need to specify relative core voltage: e.g. -
cclock -50 will set the core voltage to be 50 mV under the default value
  • Added ROCr kernels for Vega, Radeon VII and Navi cards. With these kernels you will be able to run these cards with Linux drivers 20.45 and later but the performance will
be lower than with the older PAL drivers and kernels. We recommend using AMD Linux driver 20.30 for all cards except RX6900/6800/6700
  • Fixed an issue causing crashing with some RX6900/6800/6700 cards under Linux (there is no need to run these cards with -clkernel 0 anymore)
  • Added support for AMD Windows drivers up to 21.8.1. Note that Radeon VII cards will not work with drivers 21.6.1 or higher - you need to use older drivers for proper
    operation of these cards
  • Added support for AMD Linux drivers up to 21.20 (use older drivers for Vega or Radeon VII cards as they will not work with 21.20). Note that the latest 21.30 drivers are
not supported (and the initial testing shows that even the older Polars cards are not working properly with them, so avoid 21.30 for now)
  • Numerous other fixes and small improvements

Please let us know if you have any problems or questions related to PhoenixMiner 5.8c

Regret is the ever occuring phenomenon in BTC world. It may sound cliche, but this attitude works for me everytime: I grieve, I extract a lesson (or accept what's irreversible), I move on. Easier said than done though. If you still have BTC, I wouldn't dwell on this too much anyway.

OMG,  You guys were right about BitCoin price going up  Shocked Shocked Shocked  I wish I had bought in back in march   Sad

That being said, I might have to buy some BitCoins now.   I think a hardware wallet is the best, but I need advice form more experienced BitCoin experts when dealing with large amounts that BitCoin is now worth.   Do you guys have any suggestions on the best, most secure way to purchase and store BitCoins without getting scammed or hacked Huh

Hey man! Regret is always the wrong attitude. You learmed your lesson, move on and hodl, this is the best and safest long-term solution.

PS, the way you spell "BitCoin" weirds me out for some reason Grin

Economic crisis does quite the opposite for crypto, but that's not even a main reason for his bull run. I'm not an expert, I just hodl, but from what I see swarms of institutional investors and Bitcoin acceptance from the highest echelons might have something to do with this bull run

Re: What will happen for Amazon to accept Bitcoin?

I believe Amazon will hop on, but fiat will be the main thing anyway, especially in retail. We might get a price bump at start, but not much after that

It's never too late to enter, god only knows how much potential BTC still holds. Weight in all the risks and don't dive in recklessly, accumulate your Bitcoin and don't rush. To me it's a waiting game, I'm not the brightest tool in the shed in terms of trading, so I just sit and hodl, steadily buying small amounts on dips

CBDC is much easier to use and track, especially in current circumbstances, but it's not even crypto, it's just digital currency. I wouldn't trust it anyway

Though I consider myself an agnostic, I know many atheists that are nihilistic pieces of crap and many wise, honorable and benevolent religious people, and vice versa.

It all depends on individuals, their sincere motives and their mode of being. To be a real free thinker you shouldn't judge people in the first place and take your own responsibility

If you truly want to change somebody, change yourself. I'd be scared away if someone started agressively preaching on any subject, sepecially the one concerning material value like money. Be succsesfull in trading and hodling and people around you will see that it's real and it's working.

Of course, educate the ones that show interest.

The only thing I can extract from this info as well as many previous CDC reports is that they 1. often don't know what they're talking about and can't get a concensus, 2. lie to people and lose their trust with each new statement

I'm not surprised at all. I mean, considering the size of the universe, it's pretty dumb to assume we're the only ones here. Anyway imo it doesn't matter that much, we've got our own battles which are within ourselves. 5g of shrooms and all these quistions will be eliminated (and multiplied at the same time, lmao)

Depends on which age group and country/culture you're talking about. I feel like in my culture the only right thing to do is avoid explaining anything to them and turn all this energy towards open-minded young people that happen to be ill-informed in cryptosphere

God, I just selfishly wish he loses, that's all. Why selfishly? Cause I won a DV lottery this year and he cancelled all immigrant visas till the end of 2020. My future is literally in his tiny hands. Sorry for off-topic post, I just have to share it somewhere  Grin
