Trademybit has removed logicoin from the multi-port, we don't intend on breaking coins at all -- definitely not my intention.

It's refreshing to see this attitude from a multipool operator, kudos to you and I hope the others follow suit.

I queried this before, it is because you cannot create a username featuring the word 'Admin'

Are any of the X13 coins anonymous? perhaps Logi could be the first anonymous X13 coin? anonymity certainly seems to be the thing investors / traders are really going for these days.

As I've said in the past, PoS does not really interest me, as I believe a coin is only as good as the work the goes into generating it, and as PoS requires very little work (i.e buying some coins then just letting them grow in your wallet) I cant help but get the feeling that it devalues the coin to some extent, which is probably why pure PoS coins (even ex-Pow ones) are relying heavily on multi-pools to increase and maintain buying support.

kudos to Godwits for his dedication and passion for Logi, he's certainly the ideal candidate to help keep Logi moving forward, the logo put forward looks great, clean, simple and very easy to identify once it is out there, why not seize this momentum and, if a hard fork is required, release everything at the same time and hopefully bring Logi into a new era. If the new logo is not going to be a coin based one (which is a good idea) perhaps even a new 'Logi' based name would also be appropriate? think outside the box and break the mould I say!

ninja edit: as far as logo colour is concerned, the Green, Blue and purple ones are my favourites

DEV,we need more exchanges!!!! Cool Cool Cool Cool

Then do your bit and keep the votes coming on Mintpal - https://www.mintpal.com/voting#LGC

A coin is only as good as the community that supports it

edit: a 6 BTC buy wall on poloniex at the moment, must be very interested in Logi!

firstly, congrats on entering uncle-hood! it's great, like having your own child only you can give them back to the owner at the end of the day  Wink

I think anything which makes Logi unique and useful is a definite step in right direction, I hope the official pool is giving you the much needed extra funding as i'll be sticking with it for the foreseeable future.

on a side note, just look at darkcoin taking off, hopefully we can follow in it's footsteps whilst remaining unique, it won't be too long until the Logi block reward is the same (and then less) than darkcoin's

for anyone distressed by the sudden low number of votes at Mintpal, it looks like they have changed their voting system, you now only get one free vote per hour (presumably this is to get them more donations... go figure!), so Logi has about a quarter of the votes it used to have, this applies to all other coins as well of course so its standing has remained the same.

As for the other discussion going on at the moment, POS doesn't really interest me personally, although once the reward has dropped perhaps we could investigate the possibility of a multipool option to increase buying demand?

Thanks for the mention! also some good looking designs here, if I may nominate another it would be the first one (the green one) submitted by tz in this post on the main logicoin thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=567114.msg6425066#msg6425066

I know it has been said that it looks a little like GPUcoin, but dammit I can't help but like it! its like Litecoin and Vertcoin had a baby  Grin

Logi is in a very strong position considering its age, I wonder if I am one of many who are mining and holding?  Grin

price increase on poloniex is nice and steady, with a respectable 24 hour volume, which I think is exactly what any young coin needs.

I had a thought regarding funding, another X11 coin (summercoin I think) is coded to send a percentage of all coins to a development fund. I know this smells a lot like a premine, but it is one which assures the miners that there is no unfairness regarding a disproportionate initial distribution which would eventually lead to a large dump, actually it's probably the opposite, it acts as an ongoing incentive for the developer to ensure that the coin is a success, as they will be getting a steady payment from every mined block which funds further innovations in the coin.

I'm aware that the developer of Logi is far from the likes of other devs which dump their premine and abandon the coin, which is why I'm suggesting a variation of the premine to help with the funding, as I believe it to be in the best interests of the coin itself. Perhaps it could go up for vote and let the community decide?

I think 0.1 LGC every block to the development and promotion is reasonable. It is a large percentage at the later stage.

I was thinking more along the lines of a percentage, let's say 0.5% of a block goes to development, at 50 cons per block, that's 0.25 per block (360 coins per day if my math is correct), but when the block reward halves, so does the donation (again, to prevent dumping)

Hi

I hate to nitpick but should your username be Logicoin.admin ?

apologies if your name is Adnim and I have jumped to the wrong conclusion here  Wink

also, I may go as far as brushing up on my Photoshop skills for a decent logo submission.

Excellent work with the logos guys i really like the circuitry, it would be nice to see some coins with the full call letters though you know "LGC" i think we should start a contest so the community can vote on a new logo!

Hi

the reason I stuck to just the 'L' is to make it easily recognisable and transferable to other sizes / media. Having a large complex design is great to look at, but when you have to resize it to fit on the likes of coinwarz or the Windows taskbar, all that work is lost and it's almost unrecognisable. Take a look at some of the logos in coinwarz (for instance, GPUcoin) and you'll see what I mean. I think the simpler we keep it, the easier it will be to recognise and people will become much more familiar with it.

Just my thoughts anyway, I don't usually post this much on this forum but I really do have a good feeling about this coin  Smiley

Tweaked decanus21's logo and slapped it on a coin. It's a little rough, but you get the idea.

Nice job! maybe add some gold circuitry to give it a bit more flavor? not sure if it's worth playing with other colour schemes as I guess it would be best to steer clear of looking too much like GPUcoin

Hi

with all the talk of new logos, I was a little bored at work and came up with a concept (please bear in mind i'm no graphic designer and they were done in paint :-P)

http://i.imgur.com/7kh1RAt.png

I was thinking along the lines of simplicity to make it easily recognizable, but with the addition of the straight lines which make up most of it, it does give it a 'logical' feel to it too

I'm a fan of Logicoin and want to do my part for it, so if anyone likes these and wants to improve on them, be my guest!

Alright Jason you've been selected as the winner on the Price is Right! Just kidding, but you did get your refund so confirm it in the comments below Smiley

So far a total of 12,059 (woop woop!) shares have been refunded and the next one up (BitsBeats) will be getting their refund as well.

Airdrawndagger: have you filled out the form? I cannot simply PM you to get the details that I need - the survey form has been created for this purpose.

hercula: I'll be PMing you in a minute but you have to understand that Cryptostocks is not cooperating a single bit in this process (as I'm sure you've noticed from their lack of responsiveness). If I could get confirmation from them that you purchased those shares at a certain price you would have already received your refund as you did submit the form quite a while ago.

unq_s: This isn't an AltSwap thread...it clearly reads FireMine and it does extend to Mineco upgrades as well. AltSwap is an ongoing project and ineligible for a refund but you may sell your shares to a willing buyer if you wish to though Cryptostocks (I wish you all the best with their system).

does this still apply given that CS is now delisting all of your projects and there has been a trade stop on Altswap for a while now? what is the procedure for Altswap share holders?

I appreciate this is a Firemine thread but your views on this would be appreciated, especially as CS claim that you are not responding to their communications.

cheers

Could you confirm if you will be buying back Altswap shares please?

I note there is a free transfer in place to convert them to Firemine stock, but if you are going to directly buyback the Altswap shares it would make more sense to do so

Cheers
