How do I do the reindex-chainstate files?
Inorder to perform reindex
Navigate to your bitcoin.conf file , by default  located in
C:\Users\<you>\AppData\Local\Bitcoin
Else, check the part selected while installing ,if you don't have it create one.
Insert
Code:
reindex-chainstate=1

I see. Let me try this one. Thanks.

So I did the reindex-chainstate=1 and removed the pound sign. Now Bitcoin Core wallet is running again, but now it's starting back from 2009, which was the reason I was afraid I'd have to do.

Starting with -reindex-chainstate should be good enough, you won't need to resync all of the blocks as the corruption is in the chainstate database and not the blockchain.

My question is, is it possible to delete the 3348075.ldb from the chainstate folder and restart from there? Would that help minimize having to resync the entire blockchain again?
No. LevelDB lays out its database in a particular way and deleting any of its files is a surefire way to have even more corruption. The data there is not necessarily stored sequentially.

Bitcoin Core v27.0 Error reading from database

Hi all,

I am having issues with starting my Bitcoin Core wallet on a Windows. I keep getting error stating: Error reading from database.

I've tried to uninstall and reinstall different BC version, still the same error and the wallet won't start. It was previously fully synced.

At the bottom of the debug log, it shows LevelDB error: Corruption block checksum mismatch: F:\Bitcoin\chainstate/3348075.ldb.

From reading on a couple of other posts with similar problem, it looks like the recommendation was to save the wallet.dat and delete and restart everything.

My question is, is it possible to delete the 3348075.ldb from the chainstate folder and restart from there? Would that help minimize having to resync the entire blockchain again?

Thank you.

Ah ok.

So I just did a pool test on nice hash and it says pool is incompatible. But it didn't have the option for sha256t and only had option for sha256. However, on mempool, you can clearly see that nicehash is doing testing on testnet. So the pool that I set up doesn't work is what I'm thinking. Anyone has suggestions on to set up a better pool?

And did you tried via Miningrigrentals ? It's a little bit expensive, but for some th/s should be fine if it works with your setup.

MRR's way of working allows you to use more or less all the pools in general.

So I was able to set up an account on miningrigrentals. But does anyone by chance have a stratum address:port for me to use to mine tBTC?

Testnet hashrate is over 500TH/s now. I would love to be able to mine on testnet.

I did look into miningrigrental, but I can't set up a new account. They wouldn't send me an email confirmation to confirm my account.

lol i found out what the problem was...
no miner was broken, no cable was broken and no other hardware was broken...
i was not logged in as administrator - after i activated the su, all my 8 miners started without problems Grin
how could i have missed that... Lips sealed Tongue Roll Eyes
It's in the README Smiley
SETTING UP USB DEVICES on WINDOWS/LINUX/OSX
https://github.com/kanoi/cgminer/blob/master/README#L609

The Gekko setup support page says it also:
https://kano.is/gekko.php#run

I don't have one of those USB sticks to connect to. Preferably something that will work with the builtin GPU on the Windows that I can mine testnet btc or that I use the pool to connect to maybe nicehash or something.

There is NO GPU mining in cgminer.
Ok. But how do you get cgminer to work?
By getting it from Kano's GIT, https://github.com/kanoi/cgminer then reading the extensive README and pointing it at a supported ASIC-based miner...

Ok. Thanks.

Your questions are turning more and more offtopic to this thread. I suggest you hop over to nullama's guide to solo mine Testnet bitcoins and see what you can get from his guide for your own purpose.

There might also be more guides on the mining Testnet coins topic in this forum. You probably should invest some time to use the forum's search or use https://ninjastic.space/ to search the forum. It's not rocket science to figure out some search keywords that give you helpful hits.

Thank you for your response. And of course, it's not rocket science. But if it was easy to find, I would've found it. There's a difference between finding some out of date information that put you in the kinda right direction vs. actually finding the answer to your problem. In reality, there are not that many people in the world who mine mainnet bitcoin. So finding people who mine testnet bitcoin is even smaller than a needle in a haystack. I understand the the discussion is getting off topic. Ending it here. Thanks again for your reponse.

Are you mining with an Asic or GPU? I've tried to set up a pool to connect to my fullnode and mine with GPU via cgminer but nothing works. Also, do you have a pool address that can be shared with me? Thanks.

Mining Pool for testnet bitcoin

Hey all,

So I've tried to set up my own pool but no luck. So I've decided that maybe if I can use a public testnet for mining btc, then that would be a better option to mine tBTC. Does anyone have the info on a pool that I can use to mine solo tBTC? Thanks.

How do you create a mining pool for testnet btc?
Why on Gods little Green Earth would you want to?Huh Testnet has diff so low that it can be easily mined using a CPU or GPU.
The idea of a pool it to gather enough hash rate that one can mine HIGH diff coins....
Considering TBTC is literally worthless what would be the point?

Do you have a suggestion on which pool I can use to mine testnet btc with a builtin GPU on my Windows computer?

Hey guys. I'm glad I found the right thread. But basically, I've been trying to mine testnet btc using cgminer but no success so far. I'm getting multiple errors. One is Fatal JSON error. The other is need to specify at least one pool server.

I am basically trying to mine with my Windows computer using the built in GPU which is a AMD 550. The cgminer that I am using is 3.7.2. I've seen other version like 4.9.2 but it seems like that version is for asic only.

Could someone post a sample cgminer config for me? Also, I have a testnet full node running. I am supposedly having a P2Pool running also via dockerfile. It shows online. But maybe my config is wrong or something. In any case, can someone post a sample of how I should config my cgminer for a single GPU on a Windows desktop?

Thank you.
