This will be an excellent partnership and spokesperson for Cloak. Congrats!
This is a very old coin but I think the future will shine!

Old maybe but with great new features and Dev team.

We are working hard on getting the dev fund out.  Stay strong folks.  We have a new release ready and are working the app to make progress occur even faster.  We are strong here at cloakcoin.

Is this the CloakCoin in coinmarketcap? Why this is not famous if the features were so pretty darn smart? I see the coin as good features and nicely designed. It should replace Zcash or Monero out there.

I love it when people catch on and get it.  The time is coming.

I think they will put a roadmap of funds when they release they will be adding a dev fund. I know on the cloak chat one of the big things they have mentioned with a dev fund is 2 things, Marketing and full time staff. There is a large emphasis on marketing because that is arguably where we lack the most. What we will be doing with a full time staff is most likely 2 things: full time marketing staff and Code staff.

Deepend and all the rest of the devs are all doing this on their spare time. As far as I know none of them are full time (at least not officially).

I hope this answered a few of your questions but I can promise you the Devs will release a more rigid and detailed roadmap once they are ready.

I should be able to get into the dev fund within the next 2 weeks.  Once the dev fund is running, we will have plenty of options.  I am currently working on a higher priority item in cloakcoin.  Release coming soon.  Priorities are priorities.

There is no Max Supply at the moment. But at 5.2 million coins today it would take a very long time to grow to any substantial amount. This is all under the impression that all 5.2 million coins are being staked at 6% per year. And judging by the amount it has grown over the years it is far fewer than the total amount that is staking.

Correct, our market cap is extremely low right now.  Makes no sense.

All righty then!  This is it. No more concerns about legitimacy of cloakcoin. End of story.

We look forward to suggested improvements. Our roadmap is going to be a tough haul but we are making things happen. Plenty coming. Our future is bright.

You are all welcome!

Awesome stuff is going on here, awesome audit report!

I applaud the audit, but how many people actually read it?  Stand out items:  no mathematical analysis performed on involved cryptographic algorithms and methods (outside the scope of the audit); Cloaking transactions with few cloakers can be traced, both sender and receiver; reliance on out of date bitcoin and Tor code; random number generator doesn't really work for enigma transactions; source code analysis found multiple instances of reliance out out-of-date and unsafe methods, transaction history stored in an unencrypted format.  Compromise of Anonymity is flagged as a current "high" severity risk factor on cloak transactions with, say, three cloakers.  It is susceptible to a DLL preload attack; page 17 describes the issues resulting from using old and out of date Bitcoin code base; page 20 addresses how the Tor code is out of date and vulnerable to a list of exploits; page 21 several functions found in the source code which leave Cloak vulnerable to buffer overflow attacks.  You can't back up the wallet using the currently accepted best practice of using a seed phrase.  I'll stop there.  To the people that are saying "wow!" I ask again:  did you read the audit report?

The Cloak team replies to a number of these identified shortcomings by simply stating that in the future an upgrade of the wallet software will address these issues.  I hope so.

+1 for the audit, but it seems there is still quite a bit of work to be done to make this world class.

For someone to applaud the audit, you certainly came to conclusions that were not in the audit. I suspect troll but will forge ahead.  The audit was not able to discover anything associated with the recipient of the transaction. They were able to determine the send amount and the sender. This has been solved. Read the audit. The random number generator was not seeded which means.only that the random numbers would follow a sequence. You would still need to know where in the sequence you were when transactions were done. It has benn solved quite simply  other problems are not considered high risk issues. Your concern is warranted but we are on top of them

Its all good and thank you.  If you look at the transactions, it is a thing of beauty.  It almost appears as though a computer is fighting a computer right now.  As if one computer wants to buy and another wants to sell.  I find it quite satisfying actually.  It appears as if one algorithm is sucking another algorithm dry.

there you go from the developers mouth:

Awesome, thanks!  Updating now.

There is the ability to send a cloaked comment; but there is no an ability to start a conversation with the recipient.  I am not sure if this is an issue or not.  I think this would be a great advantage to the system and will add it to the list of potential upgrades.

BitCoin has done too many forks in the past 6 months to be a reliable source of supply.  It is very disappointing, in my humble opinion.  On with 2018, the year of anonymity.  GLTA!

I did not do any such thing. The reason I responded was due to the fact that I showed you how complex every transaction was. What I showed you is available to everyone through the help console.  I have no interest in causing any ill feelings whatsoever.  I am a software engineer that solves the problems you discover. Not talking down to you at all.

The entire reason I got interested in cloak was due to a potential evolution in bitcoin. I believe this is gonna be a tough solve by those that may try to compromise it’s security. We will see!

Hey guys could anyone enlighten me on how private Cloak actually is with an available block explorer?
I just want to silence my own FUD.
Transaction sources seem well hidden as well as identities of wallet holders from what I can understand.

Not trying to ruin the triumphant gif parade but I just wondered if someone with enough skill could write a comparing script to check balances between addresses for a given block time frame and determine which wallets lost X amount of cloak and which wallets gained....
Would kind of defeat the purpose of the off chain mixing and such....

Tell me Im wrong please.

Transaction details are well hidden. I like that comment. Well hidden is understated by the way. It’s algorithm is incredibly complex. I hope you and others continue your efforts to solve the privacy issue though. This is how bitcoin evolves. Keep on trucking bud. Gltu.

I know that this open source it top priority but what can we expect after. What ideas do you have deepend that you see could be done to make cloak better

It is not my decision; however, from what I understand, the next step is to branch it off lite coin.  This has already been started.  The previous testnet was pretty solid, raizor did an excellent job.  This next test net is expected to have no issues.  Stay strong.
