You should look into upgrading your BIOS, this may actually fix this problem you are facing presently

I updated it and it wont detect 6 gpus Sad

Yes I can settle with less hashrate but 150w for 28mhs is way too much for rx 570 Sad

Can you please help me? I have a couple of RX 570 8gb RS XXX (exact model RX-570P8DFD6) Hynix memory, tried 10 bioses, whenever I undervolt the card, it is crashing on SMOS, this is the only stable setting but it is too much power.
Heck I event asked XFX official support to sent me their bioses, tried them stock, modded with polaris bios editor (the straps with one click) still same results Sad

Max and stable OC settings:

Core clock 1140
Mem clock 1900
voltage 1087 (default if I lower it the rig crashes)
PowerStage 3
Aggressive undervolt off
29 mhs for 150watts

As I said above mining on SMOS without risers, directly on a new motherboard so the hardware is not faulty.

I had exact same cards, most of them could do 30,5~31 but with following settings in OverdriveNTool under Win

Core clock 1165-1175
Mem clock 1900-1920
voltage 900 -925

Orginal BIOS with PBE, give us PSU model and W also the motherboard model

I am using SMOS for that card haven't tried OverdriveNTool in Win. Also tried the Original BIOS with PBE one click, still the same issue.

Motherboard:
https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/PRIME-B450M-A/overview/

PSU:
https://www.coolermaster.com/catalog/power-supplies/v-series/v750/

Can you please tell me the memory type in your cards?
I have tried the same model of card with Micron memory and it is rock solid 31mhs on 850mv with 1160 Core and 2000 Memory, the problem is with Hynix Sad

Hello

I'm thinking of riding a rig with these gpus, they have a very good price.

Seeing that the memories do not have refrigeration, the models I have tested of sapphire, gigabyte and msi (570) all have refrigeration.

My question is if these memories get very hot, has anyone used them to mining these XFX rx 570 8GB?

https://www.xfxforce.com/gpus/amd-radeon-tm-rx-570-rs-8gb-xxx-edition-2

I would appreciate any information:)

apologies for writing bad english

Cheers!!

I have two of the rx 570 xfx cards and I love them because of the dual bios which when used gets you about 30 mh/s on eth and you can pick them up very cheap. I have them undervolted and they do not get hot at all with the fan running at 55% and sipping power. Ideally the RX 5700 from xfx for $300 that gets 52 mh/s is a better choice if you can get it at that price. If I was not upgrading to 5700 models I would buy all XFX rx 570 cards with dual bios.

Can you please help me? I have a couple of RX 570 8gb RS XXX (exact model RX-570P8DFD6) Hynix memory, tried 10 bioses, whenever I undervolt the card, it is crashing on SMOS, this is the only stable setting but it is too much power.

I have Sapphire Pulse RX 570 4GB Hynix/Elpida.
Using HiveOS with 1150 Core, 2200 Mem, 950mv, (rxboost 30, 55, 75, 100).
Tried everything, 10 different BIOS mods, I even made one click timing patch with Polaris, tried windows (compute mode) hashrate is 26.6 and that is it!
That happens on 4 same model cards, same settings. I bought them used. The guy that sold them said that he was getting around 30 mhs (before this new version of claymore) with that same BIOS.
Please someone help me.
Thanks!

Your 4GB Hynix ram can't handle 2200Mhz of memory clock, the max you can do with the 4GB is 2000Mhz and for many that leads to errors. Some of my 4GB can only run at 1950Mhz even.

Try 2000Mhz and it should be stable and you should get 28.75Mh/s or so. If you get any hardware errors or stability issues then you need to try either 1950 or 1900Mhz. You won't ever get stable at 2200Mhz using 4GB of memory. The 8GB were the only cards which can support memory clocks that high.
Exactly I can't get my rx470 4gb past 1900 or 1925 my 570's are 1950-1975

Thats your straps are too tight.
Need loose straps, i run all my gpus rx470 2150+ without errors

Can you post your straps so I can test. I haven't modified my straps probably since 2017 but 2 years ago I remember I tried different straps and bios's and its not possible to run most cards past 2000mhz, even 1950mhz was the max for some.

Sometimes I tried a weird strap where it ran at 2050 or 2100mhz memory however it usually ended up causing a system hang a few hours later. And to save myself hassle I just ran them at 1950 or 2000Mhz whichever was most stable and didn't get massive hardware errors.

You can loosen your straps via amdtweak tool

Here is an example for 8gb cards

--REF 10 --RC 70 --RFC 157 (from PBE 1.6.7:  REF 5, RC 65, RFC 136)
mclock 2145-2185 (from 2085-2145)

This is samsung, but the logic is the same try getting RC and RFC values higher and you'l be able to OC on a higher clock (REF is just a rxboost).

Run a test for some time an confirm that values are fine, after that you can create your own strap and bios mod directly your cards

This is where it makes sense now. It seems you want to run your memory at 2185Mhz but your memory is 8GB. I was referring to the poster who tried to run his 4GB memory at 2200Mhz which is not possible.

The RX 470/570 and RX 480/580 if it has 4GB of GDDR you can't run it at 2200Mhz whether Hynix or Samsung.

The RX 470/570/480/580 8GB you can usually run at 2100-2200Mhz or so without issues and get something like 31MH/s.

Here is some info about my settings:

https://prnt.sc/nxbu7l

http://prntscr.com/nxbrbo

http://prntscr.com/nxbrp6

Cards 0 Micron, card 3 Elpida, rest of them are Hynix.

I am in a dilemma about buying RX 580 Sapphire 4gb or RX 580 Sapphire 8gb.
Also I am looking at XFX Black Edition RX 570 4gb.
Want to mine Monero CNR algo.
I know that I will get 1050 hash for the 8gb, but what about 4gb?
Thanks!

If you want to mine XMR, you are better off putting the money on a Vega 56 instead. The hashrate/watt is a lot higher for Vega. Don't waste precious $$ for Polaris unless they are free or they dirt cheap

The xfx 570 4gb is $70 xfx 580 4gb $80 and the sapphire 580 8gb is $120.
Also there is 580 4gb sapphire for $90.
Is there a big difference between 580 and 570 regarding hashrate?
Vegas are much more expensive in my country.

Not a huge diff between 570 and 580, but can be a big diff between 4gb and 8gb depending on the algorithm...

How about monero cryptonight r algo with this miner for those cards?
Any difference or?
Actually I will go 4gb, the 8gb are almost double the price, just in doubt about 570 and 580 hashrate difference.

You will get somewhere around 1khs with a 4gb rx570 cnr with this miner

Thanks buddy!
Would you mind sharing some OC settings for that card?

Anyone using ASUS Radeon RX 580 8GB Dual-fan OC Edition GDDR5?
I got a pretty good deal for this model but the thing is, I found different opinions someone says it is decent, someone says it has a bad cooling.
Any first hand experiences here? Someone mining with such? What are the temperature, clocks, and what algo are you mining whit it? Do you also have any other model to compare the Asus with it?
Thanks!

I have one and the cooling is totally fine. Pretty silent and while mining different cryptonight coins and ETH it sits at around 70°C max. So yeah, go for it. Good luck with memory vendor lottery Cheesy

Hmm isn't 70 celsius kinda high?
I have MSI Armors and currently I mine Ethash with 31 Mhs and 59 celsuis. Undervolted and bios modded.
Thanks for the answer!

Not sure where that bad cooling comment comes from. Bad cooling compared to what? Asus usually has decent cooling.

I know I have Asus ROG Strix on 1080ti and the cooling is awesome!
The thing is this is Dual model (with 2 fans) and people are comparing it with MSI and Sapphire cooling.
