Re: Alternatives to death penalty?
by
demibear
on 14/07/2018, 03:51:31 UTC
Death penalty is one of the fastest way to reduce crimes in a country, where nowadays we're living in a society where crime surrounds us. For me the criminals have the chance to change themselves for better. We can help them by producing centers that do counselling, rehabilitation centers that can belp them to be mentally stable and also with the help of the Government and the family of the criminal.

Someone in prison for a lower tier crime should really not be in the same system with those who are career criminals and higher tier crimes. So laws also need to be reformed and the most extreme should be removed to stop being a waste of resources. After ensuring the guilty is truly the guilty.

ETH is the safe bet since it is not quite as crazy in the price swings like others. Best altcoin in my opinion is likely ontology if they can pull off storing validation of your identity on blockchain. Would make verifying who you are a lot quicker if you are someone who does not like to carry your more sensitive ID cards on you at all times.

But only if, like with most.

Re: ENGLISH LANGUAGE THE MOST POWERFUL LANGUAGE?
by
demibear
on 10/07/2018, 00:05:32 UTC
English language is powerful of course, but the most powerful one I think is Chinese. It's a language of the future.

Why?

What do you mean by powerful to start with? English is the most spoken language used because of Europe, the English Commonwealth and the Brittish former colonies spread around the world, also in Europe many nations from different language families have many common things with English, as it unifies vocabulary from the Romance and Germanic language trees, which already covers most of the continent, also most things were developed in the United States specially on the internet, etc. There is no such a thing as "powerful" but accessibility, that's why people started using English.

I have a feeling the OP meant influential instead of powerful. I will keep things to myself as to why powerful was selected though. I definitely think English will continue to be the most influential language out there since it is already deeply connected to the international trade system. And it will long continue to had influence as a number of languages incorporated words into them.

I know a lot of people try to equate Han Chinese to the PRC's level of importance, but all someone has to do is look at Russian to see where Han Chinese is going to go. Han Chinese is also incredibly difficult to understand and speak. Just live in the PRC for a few years and you will be come frustrated trying to speak from people from the different provinces.

Then there is the fact that English is something taught in the PRC. Their English level is terrible because of the terrible quality of the English teaching programs, but even an average young Chinese will be capable of basic communication in English.

Like it or not, English is the international language.

No you can't comeback your money from coinbase if you are hacked but if you secure your account by your phone number and by 2FA authentificator you can't hacked

Well that is not entirely true, it just takes way more effort than it is worth. Got to get access to the victim's phone.

If sharding and plasma were coming out now and not two plus years from now, big maybe. But since they are not and current conditions, nope.

The amount of payout from Latium from completion task is very small and just like faucet it is a complete wast of time. Some of the task you perform if done with bitcointalk bounties will pay higher.

Thanks, I will keep that in mind.

Bounty campaign is great passive income if you were able to choose the legit campaigns that will pay for your hardwork because some of the bounties today are full of scraps.

If you an find legit ones. That does seem to be the harder part of this.

Agaton is right that bitcoin beats them in value since most do not really do anything different at the moment. But once the ones that are going to do something and the junk is cleared out, it could be a different story. Specific usually beats general.

What altcoins are you guys picking up for cheap in this dip?
I suggest you to research on them :-

NEO

NEM

EOS

ETH

IOTA

So basically be conservative. Works best with those with a shitload of money. Too much to lose.

But what about those with less money? Buying 4 neo today is not going to net you much in the future.

by

It depends on what we call the scam.
Perhaps 80% is even too optimistic estimate

Scam being they never intended on delivering what they said they would. I would include shit that goes dead because they realized they could not do it as well.

I see a rapid increase in NEO-based ICOs (Effect.AI is one of the recent example) as the potential growth driver for NEO price. Thus, the simple strategy is to buy NEO once you notice significant increase in ICO activity that use NEO blockchain.

Indeed and you will know there is a higher chance for those ICOs to be serious. They did have to put up a lot of money just to make the coin.

Re: Quit Facebook
by

on 28/03/2018, 14:52:30 UTC
It has been almost a year already since I decided to stop using facebook. Tell you what, It feels great not seeing all these showbiz personalities, the faces of these stupid politicians, the drama etc...Would you quit facebook?, just try it and I assure you of one thing and that's "Reality".

Frankly, there are times when I feel that Facebook is just a toxic because it shows me things that I don't even want. There are also times that it causes me problems because there are posts there that are harmful to me, or perhaps even other people. So, I try to avoid using it as much as I can. I just feel it's importance when it comes to communication.

Oh it is. But honestly it seems to be going the way of myspace because of that. I have largely stop making posts there because most of my friends are of an opposite political leaning, they just ignore it. And if people are not going to engage or just post some crap, why bother?

Use it just as a form of communication only now.

I doubt that such technology would be released in masses. It would be used by chosen to rule the humanity. Undecided

I think they are referring more in a metaphoric/indirect way. The internet remembers everything.

Re: why do we need politicians?
by
demibear
on 18/03/2018, 01:00:16 UTC
We need politicians to serve as our leader and to manage the affairs of the country.

What was said there. People in a group will also delegate some power to a leader. Some out of laziness. Some out of the desire to not be the one accountable. Just how we animals are.

There needs to be a TLDR version of this eventually. haha
