All I know is that volume has been getting better.. but not in the good sense. Everyone is selling and it's now realistically a 10-15 cent coin when it was for the longest time $1. This coin has so much potential it's ridiculous but this no news thing going on for past year is for sure hurting the coin. :/
I've definitely been increasing my stake in this coin for the last months. Staking has just about covered my losses and it's almost impossible that it wont rally in the next alt run.
As soon as I'm finished building my position the dev should definitely learn some social skills though
I wish people would know about the staking % more. It amazes me no one has heard about this coin when it has a 50 page thread on here lol
Agreed. These last days I've been especially impressed by XPTX. Last three days I've received an enormous 4,9% interest from staking. That amounts to just over 600% annual interest!
And if the price goes further down, staking rewards should go up as well. At this point it therefore just looks like free money to me.

I bought a good amount of this coin last spring as a promising long term hodl.
Now when I revisit the thread I find out that everything is looking swell -- apart from the fact that there was a 30 day coin swap window and now my coins have turned into a hot pile of horse manure.
Turns out XLR was an absolutely awful investment after all
We had a conversation with Nova.is the phone company in Iceland that owns 1/3 of the AUR app. They were interested at the time but for some reason the conversation died out when one of their crew, the person we knew the most resigned his job. Perhaps we should revisit them and get further feedback.
If you yourself are in position to pull some strings or know someone working on the AUR app or with Nova, feel free to push this forward and we/I will come and talk to them with you.
That's great to hear! At least it indicates that they are willing to consider it (and that there isn't any beef about the name.) Sadly, I don't have any connection with these companies. But as I'm very interested in the idea I'm going to send Nova an email anyways and ask if/when they will integrate AUR into their app. With growing awareness of crypto and the recent news about bitcoin I think they must at least be willing to seriously think about it.

I'm really excited about what's going on with the project and looking forward to doing some more business with AUR in Reykjavík.
Here is a question for the devs: Have you thought about some sort of collaboration with the numerous mobile payments companies that have been appearing in Iceland for the last years? One of them is un/fortunately also called "Aur". I think a collaboration like that could really speed up and spread common usage of AUR. None of these companies are seemingly dominant in the market so some of them might see this as an edge over competitors. In addition, they could charge a transaction fee to automatically market sell which also might seem exciting. It must be a great advantage when a third party / middleman suddenly has independent financial interest in making AUR payments a reality.
And it would be easy for users too. They would simply link their phone numbers to an AUR address in the app (just as they already linked it to a credit card/bank account) and could initiate a transaction by scanning a merchants QR code. Similarly they could transfer funds to any third party - friends, family etc. - by knowing their phone number. It would be as simple as initiating a regular mobile payment so users would already be familiar with the progress.

Sorry about the noob question, but how do I go about mining Aurora Coin? I'm Icelandic and I've held/used AUR since the airdrop but now I'm considering if there's any use in starting to mine it.
Is there any use trying to mine with a standard home-PC using CPU only?
