Re: [ANN] CommunityCoin (COMM) Fair & FREE Distribution | Pure PoS | Join Community
by

on 08/04/2014, 14:54:07 UTC
I wanted to know if someone can make 100 mintpal account and then he can vote 500 times every few hour? It is a bit sneaky...

They will strip all the votes if they find anything suspicious, better stick with honest voting

Yes, you are right. Let the community vote fairly.
The votes have been reduced for POC, FAC,IXCOIN due to the suspicious votes.
That's the lesson.
We have the strong community. We don't need sneaky way to vote.
I love the community and love the coin.
Now I help vote for it.
And I want to join in you.

Re: Girl talking about bitcoin news

The accent is quite heavy I assume not an English native speaker, it is not bad but combined with a certain lack of dynamism in speech makes it more noticeable, I think she should be more natural

Another issue was reading from notes and that's bad for a couple of reasons, it shows (or at least makes it look) that the girl doesn't know what she is speaking about hence no bitcoin connection, and it also shows a lack of preparation, (its a 30min video just a few things to memorize....)

Re: Bitcoin should BAN China
by
department
on 31/03/2014, 12:51:46 UTC
china released information that a reminder memo was sent in march to banks, reminding them of the deadline and rules mentioned in december.

it was actually euro and US media, Euro&US forum/reddit users, that misinterpreted the news, and spread the FUD. so dont blame china..

Re: Bitcoin is becoming obsolete.
by

Bitcoin will NEVER be obsolete. It's too deeply etched into history for that to happen. Because it's a protocol for asset transfer without 3rd party trust.

Neither will some of the alt-coins, for that matter. I'm talking about Litecoin, Vertcoin, Quarkcoin, Peercoin, Namecoin, in particular. They all have their uses and contexts.

He says someone beat him to it. I believe him; we all know he would have proudly worn the AUR Destroyer badge had he done so himself.

You got that right.

There are only a few I know of who could have done this.

Luke is that you?

sold at 137, $900 profit.

Lucky you for selling at the exact high spot. Tell me, how did you arrive at this sell point? Did you have an order already to go or did you somehow know it wasn't going higher, pump/dump?

I'm stuck holding a bag. I should have realized the exact high spot was when I started getting greedy and wondering if it would go higher. I'm selling ext time I get that feeling.

I don't know much about Bitcoin though I read the whitepaper. I only used it to buy Nxt.  Wink

Edit: Hardcoded well-known nodes lead to centralization. This is just another one of the cases where Nxt is more decentralizing than Bitcoin.

substitution cipher - each letter of the alphabet is represented by a corresponding number related to its position within the alphabet

so romang:
  • r = 18 = 1+8 = 9
  • o = 15 = 6
  • m = 13 = 4
  • a = 1
  • n = 14 = 5
  • g = 7

Re: Gameover for a few coins this week it seems.
by
department
on 30/03/2014, 09:22:16 UTC

I have been waiting for a week like this for a long time
there were too many crapcoins out there that ought to have died long ago.

and here's this week's list: (on cryptmarketcap.com 7day price% drop >25%)

NXT -33.15%
Aurora -88.0%      (whoa, gameover man)
Quark -26.0%      Just keeps sliding since mined out.
Vertcoin -26.7%   Was a fake pump, and everyone knew it.
Primecoin -33.6%  How it is still here already is a good question.
Megacoin -30.0%  about time this monkey show dies. KGW recently proven inferior.
YBcoin - 28.41%    This is a china coin, guess I never get to know it.
Spaincoin -64.2%   Another Joke that ought to have dispersed before it started.

If you still have any of the above, you probably best off switching to a coin that have hope.
I have my list of hopeful coins, but I know no one agrees to that. (which is fair)

though the drop of the above list is for all to see, and to be honest, an investment that can drop 25% in 7 days?
lol, you know it is a joke.

my advise is GET OUT while you can.

You are pretty much correct.

This is good though in a way. There were too many lazy get rich scheme coins there.
I was once interested in Vertcoin, in retrospect, thank GOD I didn't went in.

I have Litecoin, Dogecoin, and Worldcoin.
Litecoin is down a little but stable. The recent china story development is amazing, I think it can still double.
Dogecoin up a little and stable. I think Doge has room to grow still.
Worldcoin down a little but stable. People will look back in 6mths, and ask themselves how they didn't see worldcoin coming.

I hope so.I hope now pay later can be rewarded.

Re: Fair share of coins
by
department
on 30/03/2014, 09:09:22 UTC
You need to make a cryptocoin with fair share of coins. Everyone who downloads and uses the wallet for the first time will be awarded with 1 coin. The number of total coins will be determined by the number of wallets.

You should be awarded, this is how a currency should work. Bitcoin wasnt genius because it made early adopters the only significant ones hoarding thousands of coins. This makes it all look like a big ponzi. The whole crypto has become a stock market now. People doing trading all day long.

Bitcoin has failed

Bitcoin has not failed. It is basically the biggest computational experiment to ever exist. It's still in alpha/beta and still very young, all cryptos are.

But I feel like going in the wrong direction, not failure itself.

We all know that the only one of 'us' that has taken down anything or attacked anything is BCX.  You haven't done shit except submit invalid shares to pools with modded mining software. Muddafudda hasn't done shit but talk. I'm still waiting for him to follow through with exposing all of this juicy information he claims to know. r3wt hasn't done shit but take down his own exchange. Talk is cheap.

Please repeatedly read the above bold section quietly to yourself.

Re: Alts are so cheap, are you buying or selling?
by

That should see I was buying price, now the price is higher than the then buy price, then I sell, and buy. No confidence in the long-term.
What do you think?

Indeed, now the price tends to make people so embarrassed, don't know how to choose.

IRS was targeting all virtual currencies as being a properties. That would include anything used in WoW, any games in PS4, Xbox One, second Life, nintendo, etc, etc...

This is a very difficult task.

I stopped using facebook about 3 years ago so i guess im not affected by this. Cheesy

They do read this forum, or a scraper is.

NSA employees are quite intelligent people, so they must have a highly sophisticated sense of humour. i would imagine that the "Bitcoin intel office" is the branch to be in, if you want to enjoy working for NSA.

They must be rolling around the floor laughing, short of breath, every hour of the day as they try to keep up with the massive amount of genuinely funny jokes on this forum.

As NSA also do industrial espionage, expect hearing Jimmy Fallon using your jokes on the tonight show too.

Re: Is College Worth it? So many graduates In Debt/Underemployed
by
department
on 30/03/2014, 08:23:31 UTC
How many get degrees in fields for which there is no market, or if there is, it pays next to nothing. Unless you are independently wealthy, college years should be spend to learn a profession which will provide for your livelihood with enough left over to repay your loans.

May you have said is true, but the reality is so cruel, many people want to do but cannot do.

Will you be able to connect without being on facebook?

If it's just a plan to get more customers, it isn't nice. It's also a bit of a gimmick when you think that more than one billion people don't have running water in their home. Millions don't even have a home.

Even worse than food and water!

Billions of new FB users will realize how terrible their FB pages look like, taking selfies in front of their dirt made hut using their 0.5MP camera phones....

Re: Illuminati/Masons: Not that Bad
by
department
on 30/03/2014, 08:16:57 UTC
The Illuminati are the people who determine the path of humanity by their fortune and power. Many are proven very evil but many are not. Bill Gates is one of them. He helps a lot of people and I don't think he is bad.

Means not qualitative means, Bill his approach was very wise, I admire him for what he has done.

It's sad to see people continuing to propagate illuminati conspiracy theories, without bothering to do a simple google search or reading the wiki entry on the subject. If the Illuminati still existed, they would be completely in support of bitcoin and all its goals.
