New version CTR v1.1.0 release

CTR 1.1 got a new engine with some additional rules. Before making a step to a higher frequency, CTR checks the current frequency with reduced voltage relative to the reference one. In most cases, this can prevent BSOD during the frequency step or high Vdroop. It also helps to prevent the system from false pitch to a higher frequency if the CCX is on the edge of instability.

Another important advantage of the new CTR 1.1 engine is the new, secure method of controlling the processor's frequency and voltage. This will protect user systems from sending incorrect commands to registers.

The load level of stress tests has been corrected for all processors and all modes. Now uses a more loyal value of FFT, which can protect the system from BSOD.

Load Line Calibration level requirements have been revised, and thanks to the new CTR rules, you can use LLC in Auto mode (in most cases, you will not need to use LLC Mode 3). This also means that ASRock and Gigabyte motherboards are fully supported.

Note. The "Recommended to improve voltage compensation" warning is information only and does not require the user to intervene in the UEFI (BIOS) immediately.

"Enhance accuracy" is a system of additional frequency step crushing using voltage. Depending on the reference voltage value, the CTR selects the optimal number of extra steps. Yes, the "tuning" process becomes longer, but the results are more accurate.

Note. This setting has a direct impact on your diagnostic time. If this option is enabled, the step time is doubled to 2 minutes.

The diagnostic mode has received several improvements. Step time was increased, and the stress load was corrected using FFT. This significantly reduced the probability of BSOD. The evaluation of the cooling system allows offering the user the optimal mode automatically. It can be an undervolting mode or an overclocking mode with the current PPT level saved. That is, if you use a BOX cooler, you will be automatically offered an undervolt mode, which has a chance to reduce the processor temperature in the load up to 15 degrees (and reduce the noise level).

The system of penalties for creating the final profile was redesigned. Now the penalty will depend on the maximum processor temperature during the diagnostics and the current Vdroop level. This allows the profile to have some additional stability reserve.

Anyone get this working?   Tried it on my asrock b450 with a 3900.  It reboots.  Thinking it’s the board.
Everything works, I will try to collect a full FAQ on the utility in the near future

About software

CTR - GUI utility that can possibly boost ZEN2 processor performance on your PC.

CTR (ClockTuner for Ryzen) software allows each user to customize the system with maximum energy efficiency. In this case, CTR is fully automated and does not limit the user in actions. The program has a kind of artificial intelligence, which will help in any situation, and the protection system will monitor each step so that your components were not exposed to danger. CTR is compatible with all motherboards on the AM4 socket, despite the artificial limitations of AMD. As for conditions, it is probably one thing - the processor should be based on Zen 2 architecture. CTR is made by Guru3D's oldtimer 1USMUS.

The main principle of this software is to evaluate the quality of each CCX and adjust the frequencies individually. Prime95 with a number of special presets assesses the stability of each CCX. A step-by-step frequency algorithm with multiple rules allows you to select the most stable frequency for all CCX simultaneously without disturbing the energy balance between the CCX. CTR also contains a plug-in (optional) test package Cinebench R20 from Maxon, which will evaluate the results of the tuning

System requirements and preparation for work

-Windows 10 x64 1909-2004 build;
-AMD Ryzen processor with Zen 2 architecture (Renoir is temporarily not supported);
-BIOS with AGESA Combo AM4 1.0.0.4 (and newer);
-.NET Framework 4.6 (and newer);
-CPU Voltage - Auto (BIOS);
-CPU Multiplayer - Auto (BIOS);
-SVM (Virtualization) – disabled (BIOS, optional);
-Spread Spectrum – disabled (BIOS, optional);
-Ryzen Master 2.3 (uses the driver for monitoring);
-Stable RAM overclocking or stable XMP.
-The next set of requirements are also mandatory and apply to UEFI (BIOS) settings. Since the success of CTR depends heavily on the capabilities of the motherboard VRM (highly recommended to read this chapter - link), we need to make a kind of foundation in the UEFI (BIOS) to secure the process of tuning the system from BSOD.

The most important setting is LLC (Load Line Calibration), my recommendations are as follows:

-ASUS - LLC 3;
-MSI - LLC 3;
-Gigabyte - in most cases Turbo, but it can also be Auto;
-ASRock is Auto or LLC 2; Importantly, CTR is mediocre compatible with ASRock motherboards, as all LLC modes show abnormally high Vdroop;
-Biostar - Level 4+.
It is recommended to use additional settings for ASUS motherboard owners:

-Phase mode - Standard;
-Current capability mode - 100%;

How to install CTR

1. Download the CTR archive (download) and unpack it in a convenient place for you
2. Download and install Ryzen Master 2.3 (download)
3. Download Cinebench R20 (download) archive and extract the archive contents to the "CB20" folder (this folder is located in the CTR folder)
4. Run Cinebench R20, accept the license agreement, close Cinebench R20.
CTR is ready to work

CTR 1.0 Beta 3

-The problem with abnormal results in the "DIAGNOSTIC" mode has been completely solved.
-New hints in the log.
-The tolerances for Vdroop have been revised, LLC status alerts will only be issued if there is only a serious problem with the processor power supply. In most cases LLC Auto will now be enough.
-Ryzen 5 3500,  Ryzen 5 3500X and  Ryzen 9 3900 now fully supported.
-Additional protection against non-indigenous input of values.
-CTR no blocks the interface, if the operating system contains incorrect CPPC tags or the tags cannot be read.
-Additional calibrations in error detection algorithms.
-The default temperature threshold has been increased (80->85). CTR will stop all processes if the temperature of 85 degrees is reached.
-No results in "BENCHMARK" tab. Fixed.

CTR 1.0 Beta 2

-Fixed "Diagnostic" mode. A number of improvements should make diagnosis more safe and clever. Also slightly increased diagnostic time.
-Fixed LLC warnings.
-OC recommendations (reference voltage and reference frequency) have been changed for some processors.
-CTR now knows, how to notify the user if a problem is detected in the monitoring system.
-New! Ramping system. This system is provided to lengthen the ramp time and lessen the current in-rush. An attempt to save the system from BSOD.
-New! Voltage compensation. A system that will compensate Vdroop at the final stage of overclocking or undervolting. An attempt to save the system from BSOD.
-Fixed (partially) a rare bug "CTR does not start".
-Fixed abnormal Cinebench R20 results (voltage or power consumption).
-Fixed a rare bug "Problems with reading CBlog.log".
-"EDIT PROFILE". Additional protection of text fields from incorrect actions.
-Changed "CCX delta" (default) for Ryzen 9 3900X.

Known issues

-BSOD during the diagnosis. Try to increase LLC or do not try to use CTR anymore. Weak VRM or microcode error (BIOS) may be the main reason for CTR incompatibility.
-Ryzen 3 3100. During overclocking or undervolting, one of the threads will report a fall with the value "usage 0%". I strongly recommend not to conduct any experiments.
-Some MSI motherboards do not display SVI2 voltage correctly. Does not affect the results or CTR stability.
-CTR requires Ryzen Master to be reinstalled. There are cases when second reinstallation of Ryzen Master not eliminate problems. You should wait for a new BIOS / Ryzen Master / Chipset driver. The source of the problem is not found.
-CPPC tags "100 100 100 100 etc". You should wait for a new BIOS / Ryzen Master / Chipset driver. The source of the problem is not found.

Note

-For correct tuning of Ryzen processors it is sometimes necessary to disable SVM (virtualization). This condition does not have to be fulfilled. Compatibility is present.

You tell me?

A guy I know that is a dedicated chart analysts predicted a big drop as you guys declared a bull. He went into hiding because it looked liked he was wrong but the negative Red I see is mind blowing.

What’s going on?

It depends on what is going around the market, I believe this will continue because there is no major good news coming for crypto in the upcoming months!

I strongly believe in "DeepOnion", this project continues to provide weekly updates. Recently they have added a new feature "DeepVault" which helps you to store all your confidential data in the Blockchain and yesterday, they have redefined the desktop wallet and It is super "AWESOME" now. I really love this project and in the next 12 months, this will reach greater heights!

This a good example of how travelers can make an impact to DeepOnion! It would be a good idea to look for travelers willing to support DO while they travel, because there are plenty of opportunities to bring DO project to locals!

ye we need more proposals like this one! DeepOnion should be in every house.

This proposal looks good, I'll leave my comment and vote later today.

I'm big fan of "Privacy", So I was doing my ground work on which project to chose from XVG, DeepOnion, Monero and PivX. Finally, I decided to go with DeepOnion based on the recent updates on their technology and the way they are growing with the support from the community. It is currently trading under $2, and I strongly believe it will x10 the value by end of this year.

Sounded like FUd already  Cheesy Its true that BTC is slowing down but once you all guys dump your BTC for the token mentioned like ETH, NEO and OnT. You'd be chasing your trade which you could have hold your BTC for bigger profit. It all depend up to you but You'd rather be sticking to the king to see its price to be $50K in your wallet.

I completely agree with you, and If someone is planning to switch over from BTC to ETH, that's a bad bad move.

I was not aware of the fact that the old thread was still alive and well. Why don't the people move to the new thread though?
Because many people miss this place

At the sametime, I'm finding it hard to get the latest ANN thread, So I do a search and this one pops up. OP has to either close these old threads and should open comments only for the latest [ANN] thread to avoid all confusions between users.
