Bloom is the end-to-end protocol of choice for identity attestation, risk assessment, and credit scoring for over 140,000 users. Bloom allows both traditional and digital currency lenders to serve billions of people who currently cannot obtain a bank account or credit score. Bloom is very excited to offer multiple developer-focused bounties because it is incredibly important for more individuals to participate in the protocol in a variety of ways, and opening up opportunities for direct engagement will only strengthen the Bloom protocol and ecosystem.

General Rules

• It is necessary to participate via Gitcoin and GitHub. Our bounties are posted there and we are using Gitcoin for collecting submissions and distributing bounty payments!
• Each bounty has the submission requirements listed. Generally speaking we're looking for either a Gitcoin submission or with your submission attached.

I would generally agree with you that KYC is not necessary for an airdrop, especially since I work for a project that has conducted airdrops without KYC already. It's likely that projects that try to conduct KYC for airdrops have either been told they have to do this under the law, or they want to ensure they can contact you later for marketing. Either way, it leaves a bad taste in a user's mouth, and they should avoid conducting KYC for airdrops if they can.

One of Bloom's advisors, Brandon Arvanaghi, put together a great website to illustrate possible attack vectors against MetaMask, a very popular Ethereum wallet client. While enhancing the Bloom dApp user experience is very important for us, so is ensuring that our users know how to keep themselves safe. We highly encourage you to read the Medium post to gain an understanding of the different attack vectors available, and explore the interactive site to learn more about how the attacks look in practice.

3. SpringRole partnership!

The quick version of this partnership is that BloomID users will be able to use SpringRole to attest (verify) their past employment! It will be one way to help validate that you are who you say you are, in addition to verifying your phone number, government-issued ID, and all the other ways the Phase 2 launch will allow you to build up your BloomID and BloomScore. Unfortunately there isn't much we can do about this at the moment, save for removing the polls from the blockchain. To conduct a transaction on the blockchain, yes gas must be paid. We are looking for ways to cover the price of gas for creating BloomIDs and voting, but none of the proposed solutions we have come across so far are production ready. This is something we would like to do, though, and will roll out as soon as we are able to.
