WTS Battlefield 4 Game Codes
by

Have 3 BF4 game codes to sell.. asking 0.036BTC each.  I've sold several on here long ago, and have completed a few transactions here, but I've kinda baked the trust factor into the price, as I'd just like to sell them in fairly short order.

Its the standard scratch off for code cards from AMD where you go to www.amd.com/getbattlefield4 and enter the code.

I can give pics of the offer cards if anyone wants, but these are the same looking cards as the old BF3 giveaways I've done before, and in most cases I just scratch em' off and take a pic of the code with my phone and send you the pic after btc is sent.

I'll adjust price for massive BTC movements, but not small ones.. please post or PM; thanks.

Re: Old BFL buyers vs new asicminer prices

Getting back to the original topic.  What would stop those of us outside of the BFL inner circle, who might have more knowledge of the situation than us, from thinking that the coming price war wouldn't put them in serious jeopardy of not remaining a going concern.  While ASICMINER sold out on some blades, the price is not going to go back up when they come back in, which seems to be always pretty darn quick.  Even if the math presented above is slightly off with regard to mini-rig and X blades at Y price, the very real possibility that hashrate is available at a significantly lower price than a BFL May preorder, (which there were a ton of due to price spiking of BTC,) definately exists.

Re: Do any of these ASIC's actually make a ROI?

I see power costs talked about, but has anyone done the math?  Most of these ASICs take so little power that the power portion is almost nothing.  Free power doesn't really matter when you're talking about pennies on every gigahash.

I, for one, do not think the difficulty will stop adjusting at this rate for a long time.  I also do not think the price of a BTC will trend upward.  I think the days of making any more than a small amount on any less than a very large investment, are coming to an end, if not over already.

I think its clear they must refund if people ask for a refund.

What people need to realize is that their only protection other than shipping in a reasonable timeframe is bankruptcy.  If they go there, then you are *NEVER* going to get a refund.. bankruptcy *protection* protects them against you (a lowly creditor behind all the bondholders and banks.)

I would make sure people think long and hard about what happens when the difficulty increases faster than the shipping can keep orderers happy.  I think you could make a prediction here either way, but the very real possibility that they declare bankruptcy is certainly a possible outcome.

trololololol

Lol, maybe Theymos (the site admin) will ban him like he did Matthew.

* Viceroy whispers to the gallery that will not happen because Josh is the #1 advertiser in these very forums.  Butterfly labs spends thousands of dollars every week to continue their long con before the company CEO Sonny V ends his probation on September 15, 2013 for mail fraud.  Sonny, the CEO of Josh's company, ran a $25 million dollar mail fraud and was convicted of the same.

Just fyi: if they are running a psuedo-long con, which could probably be argued at this point, he could be found to have been in violation of his probabtion, even if they declare bankruptcy after september 15.  The court would look at the time the crime was done (if it is proven to be such,) so don't worry about these artificial dates.

I'm not saying they are doing anything illegal, but it does look more likely now... even so, the above would mean he could still be found in violation of his parole/probation.

How many engines are running? You can check using cgminer --api-listen and java API stats.
Post the results here and i can see from there....

Yes, or install cgwatcher and look at its info dialog, as it polls the engines as well..

^Yes, keep items at their starting price forever and make ROI near end of time..
Has anyone ever made ROI on an AsicMinerUSB ?

Well I am new to Bitcoin mining and I am looking to get 10 Erupter to get to learn a bit the mining scene.

I dont expect to become rich but according to bitcoin profit website, 10 USb Erupter of a total of 3330 Mh/S x  current difficulty 50,810,339 x BTC/Block 25.00 x W25 (w2.5 x 10miners) x Electricity per kwh USD $0.15 = $315.29 on a 3 months frame.

Plus counting the raspberry pi which I will be using to run the mine client which I would assume it might be an additional $15 to skim off, you will end up with $300 on 3 months frame, means that you will be able to pay back the miners within 5/6 months, this still according to the bitcoin profit website.

Again, you certainly don't become rich, but it's something, and once you have paid back for the miners and ur hw, the rest will be ur effective small ROI.

you've not accounted for a 75%+ increase in difficulty every month.  When you do, you never pay off the investment.  This has been the same with every price point on the BEs since they were released.  Do the math again, and every ~11 days, increase the difficulty by 25% and see what you come up with..

by the time these are released motherboards will likely be totally different from today. i would look into this closer to release date

yes, as in possibly quantum or even using photons instead of current..  *smiles*

put it in the freezer for about 10-15 mins before plugging it in.. it initializes engines when plugged in (and never again unless it loses power or usb communications request a reset.) only.

There is a risk here of condensation, but once you get it cold and plug it in and get more engines pretty much until you unplug it again, the risk is arguably worth it.  I use a bag to prevent condensation.

Let us know how high it goes after being that cold.. the firmware basically is very vigorous with engine initialization.. i've found you can generally eek out 2-4 borderline engines by doing this, and each of them will add around 250gh each..

I'll concede you might be able to dissipate the heat.. I shouldnt have used the word 'know'..

This is hilarious... I actually have some BFL hardware and even I think this means they are finished..  They are obviously trying to move payments to a medium that cant be refunded (bitcoin or wire xfer).  They are using a design which alot of us *know* cannot dissipate that much heat, and they are moving at a snail's pace with current orders.

Guys... Ive never said this before, but i believe they are on the virge of folding and taking anyone who preorders money with them..

Previous post very well put.

A very large number of people, alot of them on this board, are about to realize how much money they've effectively lost.  Not a single transaction for a preorder or asicminer products or anything in the last several months has been worthwhile that i have see.  This effectively means that a huge number of people 'didnt see this coming' despite many of our warnings.

It cant continue indefinately, no, but by the time difficulty flattens, thy'll be very little money being made, so it might as well continue.. Theres little difference in this case between asymptotic growth and a flatline at some intolerably high diff..

Re: Common Mining Cards Comparison Chart

The problem is some of the hashrates are incorrect.

A 7970 will do 730 max..  a 7850 with half the shaders will do exactly half of that *MAX* (or 365).  And when I say max, I mean max.. a 7970 at 730 is extremely difficult to hit.

so while I don't have any 7870s, I can tell you 400 is practically impossible unless liquid nitrogen cooled.

at some point a month or two from now that might be appropriate.  My current models show a price of 0.25BTC for me  to see value in purchasing 1 or more with delivery within 3 days..  Some people see value at 0.55BTC, but I don't think that will ever have a chance of returning your investment.  Of course, some disagree and that is why you see them being sold at that level to someone.

Every day that goes by, it will drop further, as will my modelled prices I'm willing to pay per GHash. We well could be at 0.1BTC next month, but thats for people to evaluate individually.
