Ahhhh OK... I understand now... you have the "Show History Rates" box ticked on the "Tools -> Preferences -> Fiat" window don't you?

This does exactly what it says... it shows the "Historical" rate for each individual transaction... ie. what that amount of bitcoin was worth when it was sent! The fiat value for the overall balance, shows you what the total value of your wallet balance is worth NOW.

If you had a 1 BTC transaction from Dec 2011, you'd see it was worth like $2... even though the total balance today would show $5800+ Wink

Thank you !!! That was driving me crazy !!!!

Is it a BTC vs mBTC display units issue?? By default, Electrum displays mBTC units (milli BTC)...

Try: Tools -> Preferences -> Appearance

And set the "Base Unit" to BTC... see if that makes everything "look right" Wink

NOTE: due to a weird little bug, you might need to shut down the preferences dialog after setting changing from mBTC to BTC, before you are able to increase the number of decimal places to 8. I prefer 8 as it shows it all the way to the last satoshi Wink

No, the transaction amount is not a decimal issue, the one transaction I made to the wallet displays the USD amount as 2254.00 and the overall balance in the bottom right hand corner shows the USD amount as 2963.00.  I have not made any other transactions to or from this wallet besides the one I mentioned above.

Transaction Balance different from Overall Balance

Hi,

So I basically recently installed Electrum 2.9.3 wallet and send an amount from a Multibit wallet however the transaction amount (which is the only transaction I have made to the wallet) is being displayed as less than the overall balance displayed in the bottow left corner of the app.

Where would I start trying to recitify this?

What is Moringa ?

Moringa is a tree that is native to Africa, Asia and the Caribbean that can be used to maintain a healthy body and well being.

How will Moringa Benefit Me?

Health Benefits Of Moringa:

The most amazing thing about moringa is that all parts of this plant including its bark, roots, leaves, flowers, seeds, sap and pods are a storehouse of nutrients and antioxidants. Thus, this plant possesses innumerable health benefits and has the capacity of curing several diseases. For this reason, it is referred to as the ‘miracle tree’ and is widely used in traditional medicine. The various health benefits of moringa are as follows.

* The seeds of moringa contain 40 percent edible oil known as Ben oil. This clear, sweet and odourless oil is rich in antioxidants and is similar to olive oil in terms of its nutritional profile. It has an indefinite shelf life as it does not turn rancid like other oils.

* Moringa leaves are the most widely used parts of this plant. These leaves are edible. They contain three times more iron than spinach.

* Moringa contains all the essential amino acids needed by the body. Amino acids are the building blocks of proteins which are needed to grow, repair and maintain cells. Human body manufactures 10 to 12 amino acids. The remaining 8 amino acids are known as the essential amino acids which should be provided from everyday diet and moringa contains all of them. The list of essential amino acids and their benefits are given below.

ISOLEUCINE    Helps in building protein and enzymes and creation of biochemical components within the body.
LEUCINE    Builds protein and enzymes along with isoleucine to enhance body’s energy and alertness.
LYSINE    Ensures the absorption of right amount of calcium by the body and aids in collagen formation and production of antibodies, hormones and enzymes. Maintains the balance of nutrients that reduce viral growth.
METHEONINE    Provides sulphur to the body and prevents hair, skin and nail problems. Lowers cholesterol levels by increasing liver’s production of lecithin. Helps in reducing liver fat and bladder irritation.
PHENYLALAINE    Production of chemicals required to transmit signals between nerve cells and brain, thus reducing hunger pains. It also improves memory.
THREONINE    Forms an important part of collagen, elastin and enamel proteins. Assists metabolism, prevents fat build up in the liver and boosts digestive and intestinal tracts.
TRYTOHYAN    Supports the immune system and alleviates insomnia. Reduction of anxiety, depression and migraine symptoms. Decreases the risk of artery and heart spasms as it reduces cholesterol levels along with lysine.
VALINE    Promotes a sharp mind, coordinated muscles and calm mood

Aaaah, I see... So at the moment the payment plugin I am using is Bitpay.  But I can't see anything on Bitpay that would enable me to list in $$$ and then at payment time to pay in BTC... maybe I am missing something, however I would really like to just display BTC prices as my store has a narrative of just being BTC only.

Thanks for your suggestion.

I'm a little more familiar with BitPay. I think the customer does not see the price in bitcoin until the checkout process. Look at this example:
https://bitpay.com/bitcoin-digital-content

If you click on the price denominated in dollars and Euros you will see the price in bitcoin. It also displays the receiving address in text and as a QR code. Hope this helps.

Thanks... got the process now...

Thanks to all.

Keeping online Bitcoin prices consistent with fiat.

Hi,

At the moment I have finished my online store and I am ready to open, however, one thing I am a little lost on is the current price fluctuations in Bitcoin.

Lets say on Monday my product is worth $9.99 in BTC and then the price in BTC drops by Friday.  How do I track the BTC price to reflect $9.99 consistently.  At the moment the only way I can think of doing this is manually, but that might be a bit tedious every day.

I currently use OpenCart plugin on my hosted store.

Thank you for any help on this.
