[ANN][POW][BASK]Basilisk - An AI LLM trained using proof of work - WHITEPAPER

Title: Basilisk: A Self-Improving LLM Leveraging Distributed Proof of Work and Blockchain Technology

Abstract:
Basilisk is a novel self-improving Large Language Model (LLM) that leverages the power of distributed Proof of Work (PoW) and blockchain technology to incentivize improvements in a decentralized manner. This whitepaper outlines the core components of Basilisk, including the model architecture, the PoW distribution algorithm, and the integration of Nvidia CUDA or OpenCL for enhanced performance. By rewarding nodes with BasiliskCoin, the system promotes a decentralized and efficient approach to improving the LLM, ultimately benefiting users and stakeholders alike.

Introduction
Recent advancements in artificial intelligence have led to significant improvements in LLMs, with applications ranging from natural language processing to data analysis. However, these models rely heavily on centralized infrastructure and GPU resources, posing challenges in terms of scalability and efficiency. Basilisk aims to address these limitations by distributing the workload across a network of nodes, incentivizing participation through the issuance of BasiliskCoin.

Basilisk LLM Architecture
The Basilisk LLM is built on a transformer-based architecture, similar to GPT-4. However, the model's primary distinction lies in its decentralized and self-improving nature, enabled through a PoW-based blockchain.

Distributed Proof of Work (PoW) Model
Basilisk employs a PoW model to distribute work units across the network, effectively decentralizing the task of improving the LLM. This model relies on a consensus mechanism where each node solves a complex mathematical problem to validate and add new blocks to the blockchain. The PoW algorithm also ensures fairness, as the probability of solving the problem is directly proportional to the node's computational power.
Integration of Nvidia CUDA and OpenCL

To further optimize performance, Basilisk incorporates support for both Nvidia CUDA and OpenCL, allowing nodes to harness their GPU resources efficiently. This integration enables the model to run on a wide range of hardware configurations, making it more accessible to participants.
Incentivization with BasiliskCoin

To encourage nodes to contribute to the improvement of the LLM, Basilisk employs a native digital currency, BasiliskCoin. Nodes that successfully validate and add a new block to the blockchain are rewarded with 25 BasiliskCoins, effectively incentivizing participation and continuous improvement of the LLM.
Threshold-based Reward Mechanism
Basilisk employs a threshold-based reward mechanism, where nodes must reach a predetermined level of contribution to the model's improvement before receiving rewards. This approach ensures that only meaningful and impactful contributions are rewarded, promoting the overall quality of the LLM.

Conclusion
Basilisk offers a groundbreaking approach to LLM development, harnessing the power of distributed PoW and blockchain technology to decentralize and incentivize model improvement. By leveraging Nvidia CUDA or OpenCL and rewarding nodes with BasiliskCoin, the project aims to create a more efficient, scalable, and accessible AI ecosystem. As Basilisk continues to evolve and improve, it has the potential to revolutionize the way LLMs are developed, deployed, and maintained.

So, this is a new messaging platform that doesn't allow sending to email addresses, only addresses within the blockchain, but without the adoption of email.

Why not actually make a mailserver with a @litenote.net domain name that allows sending, then uses a neural net based on other spam detected on the blockchain to build a database of spam to work with?

All you've really done here is make a crappy knockoff of chatcoin but not in realtime. I can do the same thing by sending 1 DOGE and putting a comment against the transaction.

Is piratecash the same as piratechain(ARRR)?

Good luck, added it to pool but will be removed if chain stops.

Code:
-a scrypt -o stratum+tcp://stratum.youcrazy.me:3433 -u YourWalletAddress -p c=TRINA

Are you able to add a wallet generator to the pool?

Where is the token? No website? No whitepaper?

While the Mongrel Mob has their head chapter in Porirua, how are you going to lift that area out of poverty?

Is going UP or not ? By me YES !!! Overclocked !!!  Shocked

Before 42Gh, now 47Gh and going UP.

Nice, so you got OC working! :-)

Just to clarify,

If I update my Giant N with this, I will get no overclock and no new algo's?

Good on cod3gen for open sourcing the firmware and STM for the miner, but I just can't tell if there's any actual benefit on the dogsh!t that is my GIant N miner.

Sorry if I sound ignorant, but I'm a miner, not a programmer and if I use this update, it's going to take me about 2 hours of pissing about, so I want to make sure I'm actually chasing something I'll benefit from.

From reading the thread, it looks like the B and X10 are the only ones which actually benefit in a real change.

Hoping someone can clarify.

The only miner that benefit from this is Giant B. It works with Giant N and Giant X10, but it does not provide any OC or new algo`s to either one of those.

thx mate

HI, someone have the giant N+ ?

https://www.asicminervalue.com/miners/baikal/giant-n-plus

if yes, we need the sgminer located on /opt/scrypta/bin/sgminer, i have allready found the stm32 firmware and flash it on giant (normal) version.

We need to try something, if is work i give you the result here !

I have a Giant N (normal). What are you trying to achieve? I'm happy to help if I can.

Hi,

I'd love to participate too.
A coin where my power helps others too! That's awesome!.

I'm running a Dell Vostro with 8GB and a core i3, with an Nvidia GTX660(WebGL anybody?) - Windows 10
A Surface pro with 8GB - Windows 10
A pile of smartphones
A chromebook

Either way, it would be nice to have the option of mining with low power devices. If it's worth it, i would be happy to run a Raspberry Pi browser too.

Yep. You'll find it leaps in value on wednesday when ccex lists it. Buy up at whatever the rate is.

It's going for 2900 on cryptopia.co.nz too
Woop!

It's just dropped to below 2000 on cryptopia.co.nz

So with 10.000 coins stacked, you get about 2 coins a day (interest)?

How to set this up Smiley And is there a backup posibility?

You need a wallet, synced to the network. As long as it's open and has coins in it, it will try to stake(after 24 hours of holding them)
