There are tons of business accepting bitcoin in US, and Trump is a businessman, so unless he really thinks bitcoin threatens the dollar or has serious impact on the interest of state, which is not the case now, he won't ban it.
When bitcoin price increasess, altcoin decreases. When bitcoin price decreases, altcoin decreases as well. In both case, altcoin suffers. When does altcoin price increases? Why market follow this behavior? Please share constructive reason behind this.
Most altcoins are simply garbage, the developers are for the only purpose to get some quick buck, so it is natural that most will go one direction: down.
Some did better promo, the price may stable or even up, but at one point the "investors" will dump and no return for the price. Only a few are serious, if you look at the dev team, you know what they do.
