Re: [ANN] [FRAC] Fractalcoin | X11 | Slingshield | % fees | 0.5% Premine

So, do I have this right that there are only about another 280,000 FRAC total to be mined?

If that is correct, we should see the price going up real soon.

Are there any currently announced plans for FRAC? New features or projects?

This coin is a keeper!

Slingshot is revolutionary.

Can you add anon DEV?
please nooooooooooooooooo!
no one need this shit realy.

I'm not against it, but it seems to be an unnecessary feature for some coins.

Not every coin needs every feature; I can use a screwdriver as a hammer, but it's not ideal.

We need more votes on Poloniex!

I know we have more than 160 people interested in this coin. The more exchanges the better.

I'm really excited to see RDD almost to 10000 votes on MintPal. It's amazing what this community has done in just a couple of weeks. I am involved in a few different coins, but the Reddcoin community is definitely my favorite.

I think it will bounce back up in the next couple of days, but I would expect the price to fluctuate pretty heavily for the next few weeks until the multipools leave.

FRAC is a (relatively) rare coin with some interesting new features to increase security and encourage mining even after end of POW. The distribution seems to be fair and a lot of bounties have been paid out as promised.

Right now the price is depressed due to lack of exchanges. I think when FRAC gets onto Poloniex, the price will rise because of the extra liquidity. Bittrex doesn't have enough volume by itself to provide the prices that miners want.

I think in a week or so FRAC should normalize a decent amount higher than where it is right now. After that, it's all on the users and developers to add value to the coin and promote it.

So far, things have gone pretty well for Fractalcoin.

I am curious where this coin is headed and what the developers' goals are. It's great to have a coin with all the features of this one, but people need a reason to use it.

Devs, are you willing to talk about your ideas yet? Some kind of roadmap would be awesome to build public perception of this coin.

no you were not, you fucked another launch again!

always go with xhash, they do it right. no 45 minutes mining for themselves before they let you in. I'm done with dedicated and suchpool and especially poolscammers.mn. Everytime i set my miners and leave they fuck me so i'm just done. I'll just tmb and autodump this bullshit from now on, not worth the hastle only to get hosed by the greedy fucking pools.

I don't have much experience with xhash, but I know that this launch went off without a hitch on their pool. My miner started immediately.

Awesome job, xHash!

I have invested in Reddcoin as it has a long term purpose, it's massively supported on Facebook and Reddit, and is a great buy at just 3-4 satoshi.  Proof of Stake Velocity Algorithm looks very innovative.

I'm a big fan of Reddcoin as well. I really like the community and think that Reddcoin is the best option for microtips in the future. It's already integrated into Twitch, Twitter, and Reddit.

As soon as it hits POSV, I think my we will see a significant rise in price.

Re: SHA vs BCRYPT Offline brute forcing? Is there a HUGE difference, and sources?

Did you try researching this at all by yourself? There are a plethora of blog posts explaining exactly what you are asking. Or you could go read the original paper. This would be easy enough to write a test script as well to empirically discover the answer.

With python and going from memory, bcrypt set for 12 rounds takes about .3 seconds on my laptop to compute a hash. I can compute hundreds of thousands of SHA512 hashes in that same amount of time.

Edit: And theoretically, you could make a SHA hash function that ran quite slowly, but why not just use bcrypt at that point.

[SELLING] Scuba boots and fins - Almost new
by
dhall
on 16/06/2011, 06:36:28 UTC
I am selling a pair of 6mm Akona Scuba boots (size 9) as seen here:

http://www.divers-supply.com/Akona-6Mm-Deluxe-Molded-Boot-Akbt167-P920.aspx

Also, a pair of Velocity Duo fins (M/L):

http://www.divers-supply.com/-P1435.aspx?afid=1

These were worn one time before I realized that the boots were way too small (I bought the wrong size) and I prefer to rent fins as I hate trying to fit them in my suitcase. They were used in fresh water, cleaned and stored properly since then. I would rather sell them together to save on shipping, but I will consider selling them individually.

4BTC with shipping.

Now I'll use them to..well.. mine bitcoins for you. Yeah, take that.

The issue is not that but username/password replication. You wouldn't believe how many people use the same username login and password for every website they have an account for. We could totally hijack his facebook page!  Grin

I think I read that the Sony PSN passwords had a 80% correlation to the Gizmodo hack data.

It's not impossible that someone bankrolled a massive mining farm. With that kind of power, you could earn some serious btc. I would probably say that it is more likely though that the increase is due mostly to individuals. Bitcoin is just starting to catch on and its usability is becoming more apparent by the day.

It's too bad that Apple doesn't ship their systems with better video cards. That would make an even bigger difference.
