Happy New Year Bitcoin Folks and Crypto Folks.

Hope Bitcoin reach $200,000 next year and forum will be active with real bitcoin users and adopters.

If Bitcoin price really goes to $200000 in 2024, there will be lot of fancy adopters who will be there just to make profits. Such investors do not care about blockchain or utility of bitcoin at all.

Thanks for the encouragement mate I would have considered writing more but it seems members of the forum do not  fancy the idea

Now, more members are replying to this thread. I would not be surprised if people also start sharing this thread with friends. You should continue writing more poems.

Re: Is Crypto another form of gambling?
by

on 02/07/2023, 08:28:00 UTC
I was kinda surprised when I read the news from Financial Times that the cross-section of the UK's MPs that seems to see it as needless to regulate cryptocurrency suggested that it should be viewed as "a form of gambling" and be regulated as such.

Without relying on my own understanding of "gambling," I quickly used the help of the Oxford Dictionary through Google, and it states;

1. Play games of chance for money; bet.
2. Take risky action in the hope of a desired result.

The second one seems to fit crypto best, so it's clear they know what they are saying.

Now, do you agree that crypto should be seen as a form of gambling? And if this eventually comes through, what should we expect as the constraints it might still bring to the crypto space?

We should not see it as gambling. It is a medium of payment and will replace traditional currency in future. Everything will be digital and crypto is best option for digital payments.

I think this is a good news as we have this crypto enthusiast organization that continue to buy more bitcoin. Microstrategy bought more bitcoin. Its total holding is now 140000 BTC.

There is something seen about bitcoin, the future is bright.

They are taking lot of risk and if bitcoin technology demand increased in future, they will be rewarded for the risks taken. I am also investing in bitcoin every month from savings.

Re: Investing doesn't guarantee you to be rich
by
dhruvfire
on 02/07/2023, 08:07:52 UTC
The majority of the investors and traders have misconception on investments because they think that they will easily become successful by putting their hard earned money in bitcoin and other assets without understanding that it is just the foundation and they need to work really hard and follow the other steps to beat the market and able to have gains in their portfolio. Don't get me wrong guys because I really promote investing but majority do not understand how it works, they think that there will be a guaranteed profits oncethey put their hard earned money but in reality, it is very harsh because outcome is not guarantee which means that there are thousands of outcome that can happen and what we need to do is to be prepared on what ever situation will be. So what are the outcome? they incur losses. They do not understand the risks associated with the asset and if the rewards are worth it or not. I read a past research and they conclude that only few percentage of investor are consistently making money and majority of the investors keep losing their money because of lack of knowledge. It is the number 1 reason why investing doesn't guarantee you to be rich.

So the question is how can we make our investing career to become successful? These are the steps that I personally formed and I think it can help you in some ways.

1. DESIRE: You should have a desire to be rich! Most of people wants to be rich by they do not have desire to become one. They simple say it but they do not put work for it. There is a big different on saying you want to become rich and you will become rich. Be sure that you are one of the people who have desire and consistently saying that you will become rich because desire is energy. And if you do not have energy, you cannot put work and effort for you to become one.

2. INVESTING ON MIND: Invest in knowledge before putting your hard earned money on bitcoin, the opportunities in the market is unlimited. Do not fall for the Fear of Missing Out because the opportunities always existing in the market especially if you train your mind to see it. People do not see those opportunities because they never invest in their knowledge. You have money to make investment but why don't you have spre money for your education? Lack of knowledge will lead you to incur losses and the only one to cure it is to make an investment in yourself. The investment that you will do is not for short term only, but it can help you to achieve a lot of great things in life. So what are you doing now? Don't hesitate and make sure that you should invest in your mind. This is one of the greatest decision that you ever made.

3. RULES: Creating rules for yourself and following it is the next step. The reason why there are a lot of people who wants to be a trader and investor because of the FREEDOM that they can have when they are doing it. It is the freedom because there are no specific rules that they should follow. The know that they can buy whenever they want, they can trade whenver they want and they can make money whenevery they want but it doesn't mean that you will not experience lossses. This is where the rules will kick in, You should have rules on what type of investment you will make, when you will entry, what is your cut loss percentage, when you will sell, how much you will allocate and knowing if the RRR is good or not.

4. ACCEPTING THE RISK: You cannot be profitable if you do not know how to accept the risk, majority of people ignoring it and that is why they are keep losing. Be aware on how much money you can incur before the trade and in that way you can have an idea if the investment is worth it or not.

5. PLANNING : Do not just put your hard earned money on some investments or buy bitcoin immediately without having a solid plan, organized planning is what successful investors doing. They have steps that they are following because they trust that it is the best way to achieve their goals.

6. CONFIDENCE : Trust yourself, trust the plan that you created and do not ever hesitate, in this way you can perceive the market information correctly and you will not experience any fear, panic and many more negative emotions.

Desire will not make you rich. Everyone on the earth has the desire to become rich but we can see that majority are poor.

Re: What does post quality really mean
by
dhruvfire
on 01/07/2023, 08:09:21 UTC
If someone isn't getting a lot of merit, it's not a sign that most or all of their posts are bad. Merit is a limited resource and typically it's awarded for outstanding posts and valuable insights. If you are making average posts, you might be not getting a lot of merit while not actually being a shitposter. Also, using total earned merit can show incorrect results, because sometimes there are posts that earn a lot of merit, dozens or even hundreds; so a user can have a large share of their merit coming from just a few posts, while the rest of their posts are average.

One more aspect of this is a user who has very good knowledge related to crypto but has limited time to post here. So he could have got more merits but his stats will differ because of less activity.

Not necessarily , someone deleting old posts is a spammer. There can be other genuine reasons behind this also.

Re: What tips you will give to a new investor to identify scam projects early ?
by
dhruvfire
on 26/06/2023, 08:43:31 UTC
The main indicator is that the project is good to be real, those projects that promise the user a lot of tokens, most of the distribution of currencies is short-term, the focus is on paying for advertising and advertising, the developer team controls a percentage of the assets, and there is no long-term plan or thinking to solve a problem. The currency is not required to be scam to avoid it. If it was a failed investment, then it and scam coin are the same, you will lose your money.

You are right. And the saddest thing is that people still fall for these even if these are too good to be true.

A few days ago, I saw a KOL with a large number of fans on Twitter. He was recommending a project recommended by many KOLs. As long as he followed his guidelines, he could get more airdrop tokens. As a result, when I clicked on the link, connect When my little fox wallet is signed and confirmed, my assets will be reset to zero. I checked the data on the chain, and in a short period of time, he actually defrauded more than 20,000 US dollars in digital currency, which is terrible.

Elon being the new owner of Twitter is trying hard to fight against all this. So the situation will improve in future.

Re: Which campaign is better? Bounty campaign or Signature campaign?
by

on 26/06/2023, 05:30:43 UTC
We are a bunch of ambitious folks on a mission to revolutionize the blockchain world. Our goal is to create a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) that empowers individuals and organizations like never before. Together, we'll shape the future of blockchain technology!

We're planning a series of marketing activities, and we want your input on bounty campaigns and signature campaigns. Which one gets your heart racing? Which of these two campaigns do you think will work like magic for FireDAO within the Bitcointalk community and beyond? We trust your expertise, and we want our marketing efforts to align with your preferences and expectations.

Both are good. What is better depends on your interests and your skills. Good luck.

Re: Do meme coins have a future?
by
dhruvfire
on 26/06/2023, 05:21:38 UTC
I'm new in the crypto space and understanding different crypto projects. While the majority of cryptocurrencies I have studied about have some kind of a solution to the existing problem in Web 3.0, DeFi, etc. Recently, I studied Polygon MATIC, which is solving the problem of high gas fees on the Ethereum-based apps.

In the past few days, PEPE, a new meme coin, has gained massive attention in the community. But I actually didn't understand what could be its major objective. Is there any reason to say this meme coin will work for the betterment of the entire crypto and Web3 realm?

There is another new meme coin called SNEK, based on Cardano. What impact these meme coins will create in the crypto space?

I don't understand why meme coins such as Dogecoin, Shiba Inu, and Pepe are so famous and why do people invest in them, wondering about the future of meme coins.

If I had to choose one meme coin with strong future, it will be dogecoin. This is because it is backed by Elon Musk.

After all Altcoins were troubled recently, Litecoin is gaining more confidence again.

But can Litecoin outperform Bitcoin or is Litecoin dead in your opinion?

It is not going  to outperform bitcoin. Do you have any reasons to support that logic ?

Re: What makes a crypto project reliable and trustworthy ?
by

Bitcoin is the King of cryptocurrency and most altcoins are way less qualified in terms of credibility, fanbase, high returns with minimal risks etc. I am trying my best to analyze altcoin projects but the results are not pleasant. What makes an altcoin really trustworthy ? And why ? Please let me know your opinions.

It should solve some purpose. If it is all around hype, it will become useless after some time. So , one should invest only in coins that have some unique features to offer.

Re: Teaching Bitcoin is not do or die
by
dhruvfire
on 20/06/2023, 14:39:53 UTC
Spreading bitcoin awareness or teaching people about bitcoin is the best way for rapid adoption of bitcoin. Some forum members try to force their kids, friends and relative to learn bitcoin which shouldn't be so. Learning of bitcoin should be based on interest and not by force. If you try to teach someone about bitcoin and that person is not showing any interest, it is better that you forget about it,and try to talk to someone else who will be interested on it. Remember, no matter the effort that you put in,to teach someone who is skeptical to accept new ideas or that person feels that he is a professor or knows more than you in other aspect of life,or if he is even richer than you, will end up being a wasted effort. This can discourage you to stop spreading bitcoin awareness, due to the negative responds that you will get from them.

Another reason why you don't have to force people into learning bitcoin or investing in bitcoin is that,if you force them, it will look as if bitcoin is a scam because, you are over doing it and they will be reluctant. Lastly, if you want to teach or introduce bitcoin to someone, make sure that you tell him more of the risky side and don't just tell him about the benefits,so that it will be the person choice to invest in bitcoin or not. If you only tell the person about the positive side and the person gets excited and believes that bitcoin has  little or no risk,or the person thinks that bitcoin is a get rich project from your explanations. If the person invests and the market moves downward or in opposite direction away from the investor mindset,he will the discourage and might call you a scammer because you failed to explain the risks of bitcoin investment to him. One should also take note that bitcoin is a very risky investment and needs proper knowledge and understanding for a newbie to believe in it.

It is how we explain bitcoin to people that will make them decided whether to invest or not. I think that the best way one can convince someone on investing in bitcoin is when you live by example,i.e when you have invested into bitcoin and you also have what to show for it. Some newbies don't have any bitcoin investment but they are teaching people about investing into bitcoin, how will they be able to convince the person that they are talking to.

Remember that knowing the theory and carrying out the practical will help you to have a proper knowledge on how to spread bitcoin awareness the right way,i.e you have the knowledge that it is long term investment that is more profitable and you have your bitcoin investment which you are holding for long,so that you can bring in more people into the bitcoin community.

Let's discuss

You cannot make someone learn forcefully. Such an attitude will make the person develop hate for the subject being taught which in this case is crypto.

Online wallet, one email for all services, one password for all services - this is the harsh reality of most crypto users.

For many of them it is enough and it does not raise any problems for them. It is common for other services like normal banking as well. Some bad instances may occur to some users but for majority, life will complete peacefully even after not following the precautions in this thread.

Re: The importance of operating completely anonymous
by
dhruvfire
on 11/04/2023, 03:38:14 UTC
If anyone can please add their expertise here on being completely anonymous for the sake of the masses. In a world that is centering on control and tracking activity as a means of control, what are the best measures one can take in any given region for the sake of remaining completely anonymous online with not only bitcoin transactions but online anonymity with delicate private information on not only location whereabouts but financial data, social data, phone number and email privacy etc?

Governments are against this approach and if you are planning long term holding, it will be almost impossible to hide these details in a  developed country. Do not get scared because of this, just pay the taxes and live peacefully. Government will get little relaxed with time and reduce the boundations related to crypto.
