Re: Search before creating a new thread
by
diceoption.com
on 24/09/2018, 04:45:37 UTC
Multiple threads with same topic is one of the major reasons of spamming on this forum,  majority of the members don't use "search" before creating a new thread.

I am wondering that if admins can add an automatic "search" feature in the creation process of new thread, it can help to minimize the amount of similar threads.
Like if i have to post a new thread with subject " Honesty is the best policy" i have to go through an additional step when i click "post", the forum automatically search my subject in that section and display topics with almost same subject, so i can check if my topic already exists or not.

Good idea, can use the related topic suggestion when the poster wrote Subject of new topic  Grin

Re: Fair or not fair about decreasing rank in bitcointalk
by

Today, i was so surpised when i open my profile in bitcointalk and found that my rank is decrease to be newbie and of course this effected for my signature campaign that i can't join again. I am active member in this forum and always give all my best to give quality post, but until now i never get one merit. I think it's to hard get merit eventhough i always do my best effort to post.
Is it fair for me or another junior member who are active in the bitcointalk and always try give quality post about the new rule??? What should we do to get just one merit to increase our rank?
It's a disappointed decision, will it be the end for me or another people who have some problem like me in the bitcointalk?
Please help me give your reason and solution to face this problem, thanks before guys..

Me too! Now I do not know how Merit works  Grin

Re: Dear Newbies: Please don’t buy Merit!
by
diceoption.com
on 24/09/2018, 04:28:34 UTC
Since Bitcointalk has launched new requirements for Jr. Members (1 Merit) I heard this several times now: Newbies willing to buy one single Merit and pay with BTC (or ETH). It's no surprise, that many Newbies are shocked, when they saw their rank was downgraded. But in my opinion, this is nothing to worry about and after all it’s not worth at all to buy a Merit. I hope some Newbies will read this as Meta is now flooded with posts from them...

This upcoming trend to think about to buy a Merit makes me really sad and there are several reasons why someone should never buy a Merit:

1)
A Merit buy is considered as Merit trade and this is not allowed. If you do so, you risk your account to be tagged red from DT members. If you are tagged, this will mean your account is useless to participate in most Bounties. In addition you have to wear a new signature (or it’s more a personal text): Warning: Trade with extreme caution!
Do you want this? I think you don't, so don't buy a Merit.

2)
Why should you spend money for something, that you can achieve easily? It’s really not very difficult to earn 1 Merit, most likely a semi-helpful post can be enough.
But after all you’ll see how easy it can be if you try and get a Merit. The second one will follow if you keep up posting good comments and you will also get to know how it’s getting easier to post useful comments because you’ll not only earn Merit, you’ll also earn experience how good comments are made and improve your language and knowledge.
My advice: don’t buy your single Merit, earn it! And I’m sure you don’t want to stay a Jr. Member forever, to be a Member you need 10 Merit. This should be your next goal.

3)
If you buy Merit, you will help scammers to enter this Merit trading market and it's well known, that Newbies are not very experienced in spotting scams. You can see this in every Telegram group if some fake Admins PM users and try to scam them.

There are some new Merit sources now and a new bunch of sMerit was airdropped to existing Merit sources a few days ago, the circulating sMerit is now much more than before. It has never been easier to get a single Merit. You see: There is no reason to pay for a Merit.  Smiley

I agree, perhaps due to the rapid growth of new accounts, Bitcoin has launched new requirements for Jabra. Members (1 Merit)

Re: how often do you check BTC price and how to cope with stress?

how often do you check BTC price and how to cope with stress associated with this?  I am checking it every few hours and it drives me crazy and makes me anxious. Is there anybody in a similar situation and how do you cope with this?

PS: I was trying to do this once a month, but I think, I missed the beginning of the bear market in January this year because of this.

Thanks,
Mike

Many users will choose Binance as the best trading platform because it is top 1 exchange but it has too many bots. I used to trade on Binance but now I trade on Coinex and Huobi.

Probably the use of the API to trade, not the bot

As you have already tested with Binance & it is the best place for a new bee as well as professional investor. Binance is the best exchange by volume with listing of many new coins & pairs. They have announced for FIAT exchange in the future & you can see the feature already in the site. A lot of people recommend Binance exchange for new bees as it is user friendly & for day traders the volume of particular coins are very high which can make you smart amount of money. Be careful if you are not experienced in trading. One more point that you should know, must have few accounts on few most famous exchanges for use in the future & do not store all your coins in exchanges.

Yes sir, I using Binance and Bitfinex  Grin

Hello, according to you, which Bitcoin trading platform is best for newbie and professional investors? Personally I use Binance and very satisfied, the exchange stability, high speed and no margin.

Binance is the no. 1 exchange now in crypto/Bitcoin trading, which means those altcoins that has been listed to this platform are truly potentials. Imagined Binance surpassed the volume of Poloniex and Bittrex where these two exchanges are much more established than to binance. But look what happened most of the traders was shifted to binance either. But for me, so far the exchange which I used at the moment was Kucoin, houbi, coinbene, hitbtc, and sometimes livecoin while binance was seldom for me to use it.

HitBTC also a good platform that I am using, Kucoin seems to be low liquidity.

This question has been asked many times before, and as far as I remember, most of the users of this forum prefer Binance. So do I.

And you too have already indicated the same. IMO, Binance is equally suited for newbies and professional investors.

Binance is also the strongest exchange by Volume. If you are a trader, one thing you appreciate very much is enough volume, especially if you are a day trader.

Yes, no margin and most best volume  Grin
