Toni Casserly, Cointelegraph co-founder, on the Future of Crypto and Blockchain
by

Would love to hear the communities thoughts on what she has to say.

https://medium.com/@STOWITTOKEN/toni-lane-casserly-stow-it-cultu-re-the-future-state-of-crypto-83950ea3e10

I personally love what she had to say about less and less people having to work at a "full time job" in the coming years and having ways to earn online. I read another article a while back that talked about the new emergence of millionaires from the crypto community and how those individuals are now able to start/invest in companies that previously VCs in the area would have had reign over. Might be a cool new distribution of wealth in some areas.

Re: Your favorite ICO
by

on 20/02/2018, 22:34:28 UTC
https://stowittoken.com has had an existing product for 2.5 years here in the US and is beginning its marriage with blockchain by providing user incentives within our product. Renters can receive discounts by using our token as a down payment for a reservation and hosts can accumulate tokens by continuing to rent out their space to cash in for money or trade on an exchange. These are the utilities we plan on building into our product BEFORE our ICO and we will continue to find great uses to increase the circulation and value of it as time goes on. Also my colleagues and I are seeing the new desire of those who participate in ICOs to have the team's tokens be on a 2-3 year vesting schedule and we have decided to do that as of today and will be updating our site and whitepaper accordingly.

This is my new rule for 2018. I want to see actual substance in the ICO community instead of what we have. Even if they are simple projects i'd choose those over these "change the world" projects that overcommit from the beginning. There is a cool US based one that's like AirBnB for vehicle storage. https://stowittoken.com

Re: Why do Atheists hate Religion ?
by
dicklerick8
on 20/02/2018, 17:00:54 UTC
I personally think that saying definitely that there is no higher power is just as arrogant as the religions that say that there definitively is one. My personal belief is that nobody has supplied me with sufficient enough evidence that God exists so I do not believe in one. At the same time there isn't definitive evidence of some type of superior being. When I say that I don't mean God. God is bullshit and was created to manipulate people through religion. I mean like something/someone/some civilization that has advanced enough to create matter, terraform, put us into a simulation and make us feel like we have free will. That is more appealing than some "all knowing" guy in the sky that let's everything happen because "he knows best and we just have to have faith." No thanks.

Re: 💰💰 Mark Zuckerberg says Facebook will look into cryptocurrency
by
dicklerick8

They really have a leg up to introduce earning based currency into their site as well as use it as an opportunity to clean up the junk that circulates there. If they went with just pure monetary gains then rewarding FB users with tokens based on community interaction and usage would be SO easy for them. That would sink the claws in deeper. If they wanted to take a two step approach they could tie that accumulation of tokens to the quality of user's posts and introduce things like downvoting. Now that I think about it though, the FB community wouldn't do well with that because if someone posted an opinion contrary to yours then they would just aimlessly downvote instead of having an intelligent conversation about it lol. NM Facebook is a lost cause.

I think draws to communities like this and reddit is the quality of interaction you get with people. Reputation and quality based communities I think are going to have more appeal over the coming years as people get tired of the garbage they have to scroll through on FB.

Re: Do you like airdrops?
by

I like airdrop, because very easy registration and coins are free. I participate in many, even if 50% will pay it well. Every day, in my spare time, I watch a new airdrop in the telegram, but I do not take everything. I also learn about new coins.

That last part has been a big one for me. I'll stumble across a cool project here and there because I saw them on an airdrop announcement site. Some of them are smaller communities but have a legit product/project, so seeing them grow is fun.

Hello there.
Why you just limit phone number by 10 digit? Are you limit the citizenship/country to join?

Forgot to answer the second part of your question, we are excluding citizens of N. Korea and Iran from investing in our ICO. Feel free to join our telegram group at https://t.me/stowittoken to get regular project updates, reading material and announcements.

Re: WHAT RESOURCES DO YOU GUYS USE WHEN LOOKING FOR ICOS
by
dicklerick8

Man some good advice in this thread. There are so many unrealistic projects out there that look really flashy and cool. I've found that I have to really look at the project not from a "Wow this looks cool" perspective but "is this even possible right now". For example, there are these great "green" projects that plan to bring renewable energy to the blockchain but in some countries it takes forever to get a license to even distribute energy, the cost of wind turbines is extremely expensive and the fact that they took on a worldwide initiative was too ambitious. Since then I've tried to pick more realistic projects even though they aren't as flashy.

The https://www.stowit.com site is a link to our existing product and we are US based. International phone numbers aren't accepted at the time because we do not do business internationally YET.

To sign up for ICO updates and be informed when our crowdsale starts, head to https://stowittoken.com. Let me know if you have any other questions.

How we will get this airdrop?

I don't find where I should fill my ETH address or other payment data? Could you explain this? How do you want to get participant's addresses?

Thank you

Initially our plan for this Airdrop was to collect MEW addresses at crowdsale and process them at that time. Feedback from the community has shown this wasn't as popular of an idea, so future Airdrops will contain the ability to collect MEW addresses. We will keep the community updated in Telegram and here for updates and future IMPROVED Airdrops. We will send out an email at a later date to connect to your Airdrop form submission. Sorry for any inconvenience.
I've seen a lot of people question you in your telegram group and ann. The design of the erh address in the form is really a failure. Maybe you guys have a good idea, but it's not realistic. You can make a telegrambot, who join your Telegram groups can send directly to your telegrambot the twitter account, btt account and the eth address.

Yeah we are seeing that wasn't the best move but we will definitely utilize the telegrambot next go around. Again, it's our first one so it has definitely been a learning curve. Thanks for the feedback and we'll let the community know again when there's another. We are about to fill this one.

First of all thank you very much devs for the airdrop, I have signed up and I will keep them !! I have some questions, when you publish some roadmap or whitebook of the project here in btt? How many people are behind the project? Can we know them?

Good luck and thanks!

Re: Best Altcoin for Regular Transactions

I think a way to offset the Gas you pay with ETH is to find a good exchange to trade your tokens on.  Radar Relay, radarrelay.com, has no transaction fees since they are still in beta so it's helpful for some of the ERC20 tokens that I trade.

Re: Long Term Invests
by
dicklerick8
on 17/02/2018, 15:45:14 UTC
Long term investments should be looked at very carefully. Read up on the currency, not just their site and whitepaper, to gauge how the community feels about it. If a product starts out great and the community starts seeing that they aren't delivering on promises then they will jump ship.

Some things I always ask myself is 1) Can they deliver given their team, current state of blockchain and the current adoption rate of blockchain technologies? 2) If they are post ICO, are they delivering on the milestones promised? 3) Is their product/service something I believe in and understand? That last one is key in a long term investment because when the market dips, or that specific currency, you'll be able to gauge different factors and determine whether to hold or to sell.

Good luck!

There's been lots of great news coming out and little negative press so hopefully some of the FUD will pass. Some of my favorite news has been that Shopify is accepting Bitcoin as a payment method. https://techcrunch.com/2018/02/15/coinbase-offers-a-new-solution-for-e-commerce/

Re: Unofficial list of (official) Bitcointalk.org rules, guidelines, FAQ
by
dicklerick8
on 17/02/2018, 15:04:38 UTC
Thanks for posting this. What are guidelines around things like Airdrops and ICO announcements? I just joined because we are running an ICO and some in our Telegram group have asked us if we were here so I wanted to check it out.

IMO it's easy for everyone to just label everything as a scam, so legitimate ICOs get lost to that and it's harder to get traction. How could this platform help us but at the same time respect the rules and guidelines of the community? Thanks!
