Bittorrent Inc has been a company for years, never been shutdown or had any legal problems. It's based just a few miles from Hollywood. 

Bittorrent = legal
Bitcoin = legal
ZCash = legal

I'm struggling with the legal hurdles you are trying to say need to be confronted.

There is even some VHS case in America that makes Bittorrent legal.

I would like to try it out and see what it is like. It is quite exciting.

I wasn't always so negative, in fact quite the opposite, I was one of the top supporters and one of the top coin holders, I even convinced quite a lot of people in the cryptocopia slack to invest (for that I feel a little guilty). That's why i've turned against this project, it's all down to the way the devs promise features and fail to deliver and stay silent for months and months on end.

I sold two thirds of my coins, i'm just gonna hold 150k on the outside hope, that one day in the future the devs may actuall pull it off, as i'm not stupid and can clearly see the massive potential. It really is a gamble, i've taken OK profit from this and just gonna free ride the rest, it's either gonna be back to 600 sat or 600k sat.

This project is indeed still being actively developed.

Due to nature of BitTorrent sharing, we have been experimenting with the possibility of migrating ZEC's zero-knowledge to VTR core to improve users anonymity and try to do without needing of reseting the current chain.

vTorrent 0.9.1z will be the first version to incorporate the zero-knowledge protocol and if resetting the chain is needed, there could possibly be a fork of vTorrent-Classic running by community keeping the 0.8.x chain.

There are some other plan along with this new chain, which is still being in discussion in our team.

Just so you are aware, when JoyStream goes open source, we'll be forking it and merging it with vTorrent coin holders ....

Maybe he is just creating smaller pumps, dumping and reloading again. He owes us an explanation why he still haven't released a new wallet. He rarely speaks so it's shady that he gave us an exact time of the release and haven't delivered yet.

The problem and the tech which is going to be tackled with vTorrent is huge and complex. I think we can assume that the Dev-Team is very small. And I think we can assume that it`s more like a side-project rather than a full-time job. Forking makes absolutely no sense. I highly doubt that anybody of us is technically capable and/or willing to put a substantial part of our free-time into the project. We really need to be more patient. Just treat your purchase into VTR as an investment. There is no overnight route to richness.

I trust that the team is continuously working on improvements and an alpha version with Bittorrent functionality will be realised soon. Beside virtual money transfer that would be the first B2C application in the blockchain ecosystem. That will be huge.

Let`s not freak out about Dev being unresponsive or not sharing enough info. I am sure that will change once they feel that they have a great product to market. Let`s keep our fingers crossed that the next release will be soon. The current blockchain environment would be really beneficial and investments are likely to flow into the project.
