If I have a couple miners each on a separate worker and then one of them goes offline, does this negatively impact my shares more than if I have all of my devices on the same worker? I had to disable one of my miners for maintenance and I'm concerned that I'm losing more than I might otherwise due to my configuration 
From my experience, it makes no difference whether you have 100 workers each with 1 device, or 100 devices all on 1 worker. It should all work out the same at the end of a round.

is the pool still maintained by slush or is he completely busy with Trezzor?
I believe he does maintain the pool, but he said recently that his circumstances were not good.
Mix that in with Trezzor project and I think we could have the reason for his absence. His account at this point in time shows he has not logged in since 21st August.
I may have to move pools soon since I am unable to lower my user diff after testing some higher values. Website shows diff 1, proxy shows diff 5
and no reply from Slush 
If I were you I would create a new worker, then switch the miner over to the new worker. The new worker should default at a 1 difficulty. Then you can delete, abandon (you can have as many as you want anyway), or have slush fix the old worker when he can...

I'd be willing to scan my ID, and I don't really have any online collateral. I've got a bunch of new, sealed, 7770's, that I've been working on selling, but they haven't been moving really fast. And I didn't want to have to wait until the video cards arrived in the mail before I got the loan. Basically, I wouldn't need it any more if I had to wait.

I would consider smaller loans too, .5 - 1 btc. I just need enough to take my wife out tonight for her b-day...
Why don't you just use in hand cash for that? If you cannot afford a birthday for your wife, then your financials must be pretty unstable...
Financials are too stable. At the moment it's all budgeted.
That's ok though, I'm good anyway. Managed to get rid of a couple of my 7770's last night so I pulled it off without a loan. Which is probably for the best anyway. Thanks all for looking.

Well, it has also to do with luck i guess...in the top 50 list there is someone with several blocks on his name and only hashing with 20Mhash/s 
Yeah, but he could have been hashing with 20 mhash since 2010 and found blocks when it was still profitable to mine with a cpu.
Or he could have started last month with 100 ghash, but is now having network issues, and can only mine with his laptop's 7750 @ work...lol

But in the long term (years) they should just about equal out.
Just FYI, to equal out over the course of years, you would need a decent amount of speed (50 GH/s+ right now) that continues to grow proportional to overall network speed. Otherwise, you're looking at a time frame of decades/centuries or more :p. Right now, 50 GH/s on average won't even find a block per month, meaning you'll on average see 2-3 difficulty changes between solves. A bad luck round is normally 3-5x expected time frame, which at 50 GH/s [and upgrading each difficulty increase] would be 5-9 months. Extremely bad luck rounds (which do happen) are up to 10x difficulty (and very rarely, even worse).
It would likely take you years to recover from that bad round, assuming you continue to increase your hash rate proportional to the network difficulty the entire time.
Yep. Just more specific. That's all info they can get from the link I provided above. And they can include more variables as well, such as electricity costs, startup costs, etc.

I'm pretty sure your odds are the same. Pool difficulty is less than the network difficulty, but every time you find a share you are solving the pool problem. The pool just compares your result against the network problem to see if you solved the block.
But just because the odds are the same, doesn't mean you will find a block solo mining after 1 week. There are calculators out there that can tell you based on the difficulty and your ghash how long it SHOULD take you to find a block solo mining, but that doesn't mean that is how it will turn out.
People tend to use pools because they equal steady income over time. Solo mining is more like playing the lottery. But in the long term (years) they should just about equal out.

So why the big fuzz that i have found a block in my statistics lol?
People also use it to determine their individual luck. If you've found 5 blocks total, and have a total payout of 140 btc then your more profitable than you would be solo mining, hence lucky.
However if you have found 5 blocks total but have only been paid out 100 btc, then you're less profitable than you would have been solo mining, hence unlucky.
This is all assuming you only mined after the block halving.
Personally, I've found 7 blocks, and have been paid out 468 btc. So I'm well ahead of the game (95% of those stats were earned pre-block halving so my blocks count as 50 btc).

I have them listed for $105 plus $10 shipping @ BitMit. I wasn't talking about what someone else was selling them for. I'm not going to list someone else's price. This is my price. And the shipping is optional/flexible depending on how many you buy.
I didn't actually get them for $107. I got them as part of 16 barebones kits from TigerDirect. So they came as part of a larger package.

Have your recently changed your email address or payout address?
If you change your email address, I think he holds all payouts for 24 hours. And if you change your payout address and don't confirm by email, he may hold payouts. Not positive on the second one, he may either hold payouts, or just send 'em to the old address. But it doesn't look like that happened...

You may want to find a Wiki on Bitcoin somewhere and just read up a little. All rounds for all miners everywhere are (essentially) random.
