Haha, incidents and investigations. Very nice Cheesy
It will be interesting to see if there are more proofs they are scam because there are many people who like the project and want to invest. The idea is cool, I will be disappointed if they lied. And I will monitor the thread, anyway.
Ut us very interesting question - is the FTEC a scam or they just have mean competitors? Cheesy

@rpietila and others, what do you consider as a buy-zone for monero? Was thinking about placing some orders in the 0.004-0.0043 range. There is pretty much support at 0.004 and 0.0039, also fibonacci retracement levels are at 0.00406 and 0.00447 (This is based on the last runup from 0.023 to  0.058).

The 61.8% level is also on 0.00365, that is a possibility also.

All-time volume weighted average price is 0.00426.
Where did you get this useful information? Can you give us a link?
And can you compare for example volume weighted price of XMR with anybody else's volume weighted price?

That's a good point. Ordinary paper money are made from woods. IMO this problem is more important

Tone of negativity in the press has been constant since the creation of BTC in oh so many clever ways. One point after another to discourage a positive tone on BTC.

With annual revenue approaching $57bn, Dell is roughly four times the size of DISH Network – the previous biggest bitcoin-accepting business.
This is really HUGE!

No matter who wins the CN wars, laughing at the losers will be fun.

Do you know the feeling of victory? It looks you're a master of bad decisions, because you're supporting this crowd.

Why the coins name was changed? Devs wanted to clean the reputation? Was there an objective reason?

Several of the stakeholders felt the new name was a better marketing vehicle and in addition the old name had been heavily cyber squatted. Two votes were held first on IRC and second on this forum. Both votes were in favor of the change.

When did the coin name change?

It was launched on April 18, 2014. IMO we can call this currency a youngster in comparison with Bitcoin.

Changing the coin’s name was an attempt to clean its reputation a bit, don't be so naive. Monero devs are very cunning.

I totally agree!
Those people who call themselves devs have actually stolen the coin. They nicked it right from the founding father’s arms – the guy’s name is thankful-for-today.

What I don’t like about Monero is their team which doesn't looks like a team of pros.  They often complain about other coins’ faults instead of making their own coin better.

Anyone could explain the benefits of set an own masternode? I have more than 1k darks so i can create it but why should i make it?

There is some financial penalty for ddos, which the nodes get to keep. Broadcasting rejected transactions results in 0.1 drk being deducted and paid to each random master node that gets picked for every transaction.
You could make a fair profit from just running nodes.

The collateral transaction is made out to the masternode (a randomly chosen full node. Picked with a tamperproof algo), so they can't actually pay themselves, just the master node.
