I really dont think nations are DDoSing TPB, maybe some rouge parts of the media industry...
And I think its not kids DDoSing pools either, I can hardly imagine some script kiddies are in control of botnets big enough to do that... I think its a couple of guys that really know what they're doing (of course DDOS is bitchy and childish, but using a botnet to do mining is hardly something you can do by after reading "Hackers Black Book"...)
I think, there is a lot of money involved in this and of course a lot of rage after beeing banned...

Anyone can set up a script on a irc server connect any DoS performer client capable of irc connections and do it.
Easy but I will not get into details here.

Changing to http://www.prq.se/?intl=1 PRQ would be magnificent. The most resilient hosting that I know. (Responsible for hosting the pirate bay).

Well, I really don't think TPB should be considered "the standart" when it comes to availability... it's sometimes offline for 12 hours... the only reliable thing about TBP is, that it will always come back, even after being off for hours.. Wink

Since in bitcoins pools what are trying to shutdown the pools are kids, in the piratebay it's nations.
It's better not to compare the situation of both.

If the DDoS trafic is so big the logs will not show all the trafic generated by nodes.
Also Proxy servers can be used in DDoS which is extremely hard to mitigate DDoS in this case.
The first piece on the network will be a router if the trafic generated by the botnet is that big the router can't redirect the packets, and in this case not even blacklist would be useful.
Tycho you should consider changing you host service. with the fess that you pay for the service I think you can spend some money on the service.

Deve ter aumentado bastante a chance de achar 50btcs solando,

atualmente estou minando no:  TripleMining - team Brasil pool.

Nem por isso visto que o network inteiro conta com alguns Teraflops de processamento.

The developers of the bitcoin software should create an algorithm to encrypt and de-encrypt the wallet on the fly. Should be usefull in this case as the trojan would only get the wallet encrypted.

Hi,
First of all I want to give my congratulations to this community.
I'm having a problem receiving money into my wallet.
I have the wallet software actually in my client I have 20 connections and 129371 blocks. Today I have requested two payments of 0.01 BTC from deepbit pool(I'm mining there). One of the payments has 1 week ago and I don't see where the coins are.
The address that I have sent the money are right so I don't understand where the problem is.

I would appreciate an answer for this problem.
