It would be good if you could indicate the exchange the coin is being traded on - it must be traded to work out the most profitable?
A live link to current price would be even better!

About to move my little 1MH/s to you...

After working in IT for so many years, it's normal to have blown out maintenance windows every now and then.
But yeah, we should have been told of the status and if there are any ETA so that we know what's going on.
Exactly - keep the customer updated ESPECIALLY when it is going wrong...

(and yes I have worked in server/network support so know what it is like...)

hi, I am using HD 6950. I'm digging 130 kh /s . Looks like a little bit less. What are the appropriate parameters to my card?

That's about what I am getting on 6950...

Scrypt-jane is a LOT lower than scrypt especially after the latest N factor jump...

Can you confirm version numbers for new wallet as I am getting an error:

WARNING: Displayed transactions may not be correct! You may need to upgrade, or other nodes may need to upgrade

I thought I had the latest version:

Getinfo gives me:

"version" : 1010000,
"protocolversion" : 60080,
"walletversion" : 60000,

Thanks

How many people are actually mining at the moment?
Would it make more sense for us to all use one pool - then we might get this block (78992) solved... it should have gone by now - even solo I should have solved a 3.8 diff in 3-4 hours...

perhaps we should do a deliberate fork? Set up a pool that the diff hoppers don't know about, mine on that with the wallet unsynced - the diff should drop off so we get consistent (~1min) block times with a consistent hash rate, then we have the longest chain once we resync... Just bar any userid that mines for <10minutes?

Go ahead. Those coins would be useless though since all the exchanges and everything else would be on a different fork

I thought in the event of a fork the longest block chain won, so a chain that has been generating blocks every minute will win out over one where the difficulty gets spiked and so the block generation slows right down... Basis of the 51% attack - generate a 'false' block chain faster than the 'real' one...

Somewhere in those calcs you need to take account of how many people you are sharing the reward with... YOU don't generate 1 block every 60 secs, the network does so those 500K doge are shared across everyone mining Doge, generally in the same ratio as their hashrate to the network hashrate.

Perhaps it needed to do something like an EMA over the last N blocks - so the most recent block still has most influence but it wouldn't change so quickly...  Once we get to the fork it /might/ get better...?

Well I've been slogging away on dedicated pool (I'm 3uuZcGAY4U74) oddly not getting blocks when others who dip in and out get them! putting some hashes that way (but I've only got 1MH/s anyway and need to mine something that gets some return as well)...

I am guessing the 48MH/s is a glitch as that would zip through the blocks quite quickly.  My calcs suggest around a day per block for me to solo mine at diff 27?

Does anyone know if dedicated pool have updated to the new wallet??

David

EDIT: Out of interest - how is the 'net hashrate' figure calculated, is it just on the speed of block generation? If so in the current situation it is inaccurate as no blocks are being generated...
