If you trust coincalculators or whattomine or coin-warz blindly there's your first problem Smiley

I'm thinking of putting together a course on the fundamentals of how to correctly calculate profitable opportunities, message me if you're interested.

You would be able to answer this question if you understood how to quantify the various costs and rewards involved.

I'm thinking of running a course that explains these fundamentals, if you are interested them PM me.

Send me a private message.  I have a great idea for a new type of ICO that has never been done before and pays out profits every 90 days, but the contract needs some ETH in reserve (which you get back) to kick start it.

Any one who want to use miningcore and is looking for a nice ui... check out mine ;-)  still developing the site but after a day work looks nice.

Nice job... how are you finding miningcore so far?

More time I spend with YIIMP and weird stuff it does the more I want to replace it but the more scared I am of trying to reprogram all those quirks!

This software is OK but not really supported. There aren't any real full stack modern open source solutions anymore.  Closest you will get is Miningcore stratum server but there isn't a proper UI for it yet, just some static site with javascript - take a look at my site to see how it looks, but I'm going to write my own custom UI and if you can't do the same I think you are stuffed unless you want to license my (or others) services.

I'm thinking of using this software for personal solo mining needs, testing new coins. If you have a better UI available, please PM me your terms of licence. Thanks =)

MiningCore has 3 flaws aside from UI situation -- configuration is code-based so adding a new coin means forking and compiling your own (not difficult but very strange and unnecessarily time consuming to do compile + new docker images), stratum server is port-per-coin whereas smart trend today is port-per-algo (to support algo rental eventually on yiimp and on my own custom pool)... also their logging is horribly inadequate (way too much error conditions just thrown with zero logging to explain why).

I'm thinking of doing a new UI and fork addressing above issues (or maybe using yiimp stratum, but I'm not a big fan of their database-as-integration-layer design, but on the other hand they have been around for longer and I believe support more weird coin specifics)... but first I have started another thread in altcoin pools board looking for people's wishlist before I waste too much time on the wrong thing Smiley

Hey people

I'm looking at setting up a new pool.  I've got 2 decades of development experience under my belt.

But I want to know what you guys want before I waste my time.

You can vote up to 3 times so that you can express your preferences more clearly.

Please provide feedback - who knows you might get what you want!

I know there are quite a few of you out there that can do this now, I got fairly far when i tried last (years ago before all the install scripts came out and before tpruvot got so much further with the yiimp code).

I'm working at the moment though and don't have the hours to throw at it (I will if i have to).

will escrow or set up an elance project (was considering using some php coders from there or some of my other guys but i reckon you guys will know better? yeah?)

just a few coins to start growing from there.

pm me if interested, or message below with questions or comments.

thanks for the time reading this.

peace be.

Does anybody know of a site that has a comparison of exchanges i.t.o. fees, etc.?  Would anybody find this a useful service if I build it?  What kind of features e.g. "show me options to move X to Y"?

This pool server was extremely simple to install and get working, even on Linux with the latest code requiring .NET 4.7.  The code seems well written and performant, and updated regularly. All major algorithms are supported, and adding additional support seems simple.

The UI lacks features of other pool software (autorefresh, graphs, etc.) but other than that I can't understand why this pool server is so unpopular?

Anybody know why this software seems to be completely ignored?

Like the development team says, they are working to fulfill the desire the community wants for this coin and working on this consistently. Will not happen by tomorrow but over next 30 to 45 days. Now is the time to invest as this is about as low as it gets.

Just read the smart contract. It's a scam. If you want to throw away money, rather send it to me, I have bills to pay.

What makes this different from NEO? Will it pay dividends like GAS as well?

Yes they have Petron you can read it in the whitepaper.

This coin has sufferd allot and I see a great opportunity to make allot of money. for the people who dont agree look at ETH CASH and ETH Gold they had no websites or even a whitepaper yet after the site was upgraded (Still not good in my opinion) they launched you can look it back if the DEV team of NEO Gold upgrades the site they will increase in value easily 0.5$. They are active on socialmedia even tho they are little now i think that will change soon. I had a small talk wit the DEV team they are working on it i didnt get any info only that they are working on the project.

So if you dont buy NEOG fine) someone else will and if you wanna sell them reply i will buy them Smiley

The white paper is a copy paste job from a dictionary.

The smart contract code at https://etherscan.io/address/0x449574c69f3a658794829ed81639a7a9ece041e1#code has no petrol implementation. It's just a copy paste of the example ERC20 code at https://theethereum.wiki/w/index.php/ERC20_Token_Standard.

You've been scammed.

Re: is btc dead from an investment % point of view ??
by
docrypto
on 13/01/2018, 15:58:26 UTC
hey there

im holding btc but lately im wondering why as those funds in so many other alts would have at least 30-40% increased instead of decreasing like btc

i know people say btc is stable (enough) but i as you are no doubt looking for max return hence is it no better to invest most of my btc into coins that will increase sooooo much more than btc this year ( for example ada will surely at least 3x-5x this year whereas if btc 2x from ath then we will be LUCKY by the way things are going )

thoughts ?

The difference between altcoins and BTC is that you are already sure that BTC will give you a good profit while other altcoins is just a hype wchich means it will dump hard than bitcoin. For example bitcoin dumped but didn't reach 100% loss while other altcoins will give you more than 100% loss.

More than 100% loss?  Huh

Simple, ask yourself -- how many new people being added to the world every day?  How many people don't know about Bitcoin today?

Korea only made up 5% of the BTC trading volume but the news caused a 20% drop.  What do you think it means?
