Re: imsaguy's Enormously Interesting Extended Investment Opportunity

"Mining, if done right, will always be profitable", so far.... that is NOT the case with you.
"Stockpiling a little coin right now is the most prudent thing.  If it turns out things are a bust, there's nothing preventing a payment of those in the future.", there's no way to prove you are actually holding the coins.
When ASIC comes and it makes sense, people would invest in it again. No need to stockpile BTC/USD for it.

Hello.

If you're selling something, you're supposed to try to convince people it's worth as much as possible. You make up bullshit about how you're illiquid and cash now is better, to you, than amazing earnings in the future, or something like that.

As it stands, you're not going to get the face value of the debt, because it never makes sense to buy debt at face value. If you go around everywhere bitching about how terrible imsaguy is, you're not even going to get anywhere close to that, because either people will be swayed by your statements and will believe that imsaguy is a piece of shit, or they'll know that you believe him to be a piece of shit and thus are willing to get rid of his debt at a hefty discount.

You sound like you've gone irrational on this whole thing, and are just flailing wildly to get some coins without paying attention to your reputation or even basic business skills. I suggest you take a break, and when you come back I'm sure your debt will be much healthier anyway.

And yes, this is dog.

Certainly. I was hoping the scrutiny would be of a higher quality, though. When people make reputation-tarnishing statements about someone based on nothing but idle speculation, it bothers me. I know this forum's membership has an aggregate mean IQ of about 50, but I was disappointed that certain people chimed into this bullshit that I wasn't expecting.
Can we stop the sockpuppetry now, please?

Did you have a problem with the OP doing it? What's wrong with it? This isn't about who I am as much as what I'm saying: "Woof" means "Woof" no matter which dog says it.

Pirate/Trendon's extraordinary returns obviously bring extraordinary scrutiny. Why would one think otherwise?

But more seriously, the unnecessary addition of ", Trendon" (as if that's at all difficult to find or new information, given his #bitcoin-otc profile) to your sentence just comes off as trying too hard.

The way people paint pirateat40, you'd think he really was the most interesting man in the world. I've heard people say he's the secret investor behind bitcoinica, but that he's also the thief behind the coins and is involved in laundering the stolen coins. Others say he's involved in major drug operations. It's astonishing how much of a crime lord the guy is, and how much everyone knows about him given how little he says anywhere public.

Will you be trying to unmask this mysterious "dog" character next? I bet I run a massive prostitution and human slavery ring in bitcoins, or something like that, right?

*sips his fruity drink on his private island while watching the community make him sound like the Most Interesting Man In Bitcoin.

No, Trendon. The Most Interesting Man in Bitcoin is Satoshi Nakamoto.

Is there some protocol to have established members vouch for us? I'm actually just someone else's joke account and don't really want to have to go through this again.

I understand why it's here, but it'd be nice to have a recommendation system (with penalties for the recommender if the recomendee scams, to discourage sales) so that joke accounts of established members, like this one, can make it through quickly Smiley
