It will be a unique way to invest in companies, projects and new technologies for hydrogen production. Our vision is to produce power from the crop. It is a well-known dream of human beings to use crop for producing energy. Hydrogenial is a century project. Hydrogenial will be the first and only one among many projects regarding hydrogen production. It is definitely a project for the future. Energy industry based on hydrogen is still in the early stages. For example only few hydrogen stations exists in Germany. In the near future it will be hundreds or thousands. We, the HydroCoin team believe, that there are enough potential to build a new hydrogen standard. A hydrogen standard, which represents hydrogen produced only by clean methods like enhanced reforming of biomass. In the first step we follow the aim to transfer different classes of biomass into substitute natural gas, later on, we will focus on gas handling technologies to derive hydrogen from the synthetic gas. These gas handling technologies are now in development in different research groups at universities worldwide. Some of these groups are already spinned off to private companies. Highly qualified scientists, physicists, chemists and engineers are working on that solutions to extract hydrogen from different gases. Hydrogenial trace a new path in direction of transforming biomass into hydrogen. Intended technology is the Absorption Enhanced Reforming Process(AER). This process is well-proofed based on different biomasses on laboratory dimensions. Executed by a research institute in south Germany. Our bet is now, to show the world, what is running in the laboratory environment perfectly, will also run in real world conditions. Hydrogenial is a century project, which brings the hydrogen production on a new level. You can participate.

Current political situation in many countries forces the traffic-sector to change to cleaner vehicles. Combustion-engines are already reaching the maximum pollution-level, as the latest Diesel-Gate scandal indicated. Electric vehicles (EV) using batteries are available for customers, and the range of some models is already comparable to cars with combustion engine, but the long time to charge the batteries is still a limitation of this technology. EV using fuel-cell technology with hydrogen as fuel are an alternative. In the last decade vehicles with fuel cell became more important. Public facilities like municipal services, transportation services, hospitals, fire alarms, and many more already started to change their fleet to fuel-cell based electric vehicles. Many of those public services announced to think about such a change within the next 5 years.

Hydrogen is a gas with extremely low density and high storage densities are difficult to achieve. At ambient conditions it takes 11 cubic meters to store 1 kilogram of hydrogen. Conventional hydrogen storage only works under very high pressures (compressed hydrogen: 700+ bars) or very low temperatures (liquefied hydrogen: minus 253 °C). This generates additional risks and requires energy intensive compression and liquefaction procedures.

Hydrogenious Technologies developed a breakthrough in hydrogen storage. The safe and efficient storage of hydrogen in Liquid Organic Hydrogen Carriers (LOHC). LOHC can be stored and transported under ambient conditions in the existing fuel infrastructure without the need for high pressures or low temperatures. One cubic meter of LOHC can store more than 600 cubic meters of hydrogen gas. This innovation is currently under development. HydroCoin HYC will help develop and kickstart this technology so it becomes available for trucks, ships and many other utility-vehicles world wide. 1000 litre of this liquid can carry 54 kg of hydrogen. This liquid acts like a battery, that can be loaded and unloaded. It is safe and can be used with conventional tanks and trucks for storage and transportation.
