What type of R9 390? I have an ASUS Strix I'm trying to get usable again. Anyone have a working lower voltage BIOS for one?

Do you guys flash with ATIWinFlash?

I'm a bit bummed with my ASUS Strix 390. I did a backup with ATIWinFlash, tried the voltage changes as outlined and it just crashes when attempting to mine.

To make matters worse, I re-flashed the backup bios that I made and now the card doesn't do ANYTHING in the ZCash miner. Just sits there with no apparent load change. What is really odd is that in Claymore ZCash miner it says 'Card recognized as Radeon 290' .. even though it's a 390 and the device manager says it's a 390 too.

I've tried reflashing a few times, done the driver removal (DDU) and reinstall and no joy.

I have it aside on a separate system as the only card. It is usable within Windows 10 for the desktop, although I've not done any 3DMark or FurMark testing with it.

Anyone have any hints on how to get this card usable again?

My card is ASUS Strix 390 8GB.. If anyone has another BIOS file that might work, can we PM?

I heard Vega 10 Gpu will be around 600$

Is 600 H/s realistic for Vega 10?...of course after some claymore tuning

Thinking about building 2 vega 10  6 gpu rigs

FYI you can get the Fury at $230 that give you 470 sols @ 250 watts. That's 5650 Sols total on a total investment of $2700. The monthly profit is $825 giving you a 3 month ROI, The Vega at $500 a piece will give you an ROI in 8 month.

Is the Fury better investment than the rx480 then?

About the same although the rx480 is better on power consumption. This is based on advertised sale prices in the US

RX480: 330 sols for $170 = $.51/sol ..... 660 sols @ 250 watts = 2.64 sols/watt
Fury:   470 sols for $230 = $.48/sol ...... 470 sols @ 250 watts = 1.88 sols/watt

I heard you can undervolt the fury by 100 mv and the consumption goes down to 175 watts and the rx480 down to 100 watts, but haven't tried it on either
just picked up rx 470 asus strix 4gb for $120 w rebate...just seemed to cheep to pass up.

+1 for the ASUS RX470. Yea the price and performance for the cost is amazing. I have 4 of these currently and hoping to gradually convert over. What are you getting out of it for hashing? Mine are doing around 270. Can't seem to make much by way of improvement to that.

Tried this and not having much luck at all. I have 4 x ASUS RX 470s . Windows 10, Using 16.12.2 drivers. 8GB system RAM, 20GB virtual set. On a SSD

Underclocking the core seems to drop the hashrate. I have between ~265 to ~280 on each card currently.

-i 7
-tt 0
-powlim 7
-mclock 1800
-mvddc 995
-cvddc 1050

Temperatures are 71C on the hottest card with around 70% fan. I tried raising the memory clock up but ended up with errors. The cards are in an open frame and the power supply is one of those 1200W server ones wired with PCIe connectors myself.

Any hints?

For the Claymore Miner v 12.4 using 4 Sapphire RX470 Nitro 4GB, I am using this bat:

ZECMiner64.exe -zpool ssl://zec.supernova.cc:2242 -zwal username.worker -zpsw password -i 7

Im only getting about .15 zcash every 25-26 hours

What can I do to improve performance?  Miner speeds read 276 - 288, Driver date 3-16-17 version 21.19.525.258.

What tool are you using to tune(OC/UV) your cards?

for a quick workaround if I'm starting from a fresh driver install I reduce CPU Freq by ~13-17% and then undervolt your top 2 clocks to ~940. So, it'd be around 1020 @ 940, duplicate the second highest rate to the same, then go back through all the voltages and just duplicate 940 until you reach an actual value that has been automatically tuned down to roughly the same voltage and then just save that.

so..

-asm 1 / works well for my Strix 470, however my Nitro+ 480 seems to work better when set via -a 0
-tt 0 / if you are setting your fan temps in Wattman or other Software
-i 4,5,9 - test out how the speed differs between -i 5 and your current -i 7. I get better RX480 speeds using -i 5/-i 6 than -i 7/8/9. -i 7 is usually good for the 470 tho.

-> -12.5% CPU Frequency -> Manual Voltage -> reduce down to at least 990 or lower.

-> Memory Clock -> Increase to 1900 -> Undervolt to 960.

-> Give all cards some Additional Power if possible, it keeps the RX470's from becoming 'complacent' when finding shares.

I run that kind of configuration on my Strix 470 and I hash at 300 with -i 7 and -asm 1...

HOWEVER - these are only a few things that work for me, running 1x RX470 along side 2x nvidia cards and an RX480, so I found the Undervolting kept the 470 under 55 degrees C while hashing @ 290-300.

You might just want to cranking up the memory frequency and core frequency and just cutting down the Core voltages by 100 or so.. then get the fans running fast.. Shit, I dunno - you're pretty much bottlenecked by how well the 470/AMD drivers interact with the equihash algorithm - so experiment then just wait for Software updates.

Power the whole thing down, let it cool and make sure the power supply is not too hot too (hot PSU sometimes means the voltages go wobbly, and causes the ASIC chips to register as failed). I had that happen and a cold-reset got it back working again.. after some heart stopping moments! Cheesy

Guys either ways new contract or old contract Zach is asking us to bend over ....  we are not going to see any of our invested coins back , I think we should team-up & sue this mofo.

I totally agree. There needs to be a lawsuit and Lab Rat Mining dissolved, all assets sold and shared out.

Zach is obviously ripping us all off and hoping to cover his fraud with this new contract BS

It is also obvious that asking questions on here gets nowhere

LR -

1) Please tell us the original reason why the bonds were capped at 100 MH/s? We've seen a lot of hand waiving, but no concrete reason.

2) This conversion to capped bonds is not optional. What recourse through LRM do investors have who do not accept capped bonds in exchange for their original proportional bonds?

1: To the extent that we can answer this question without supplying legal advice we have already done so.

2: For those contract holders who wish it, they can select the new contract.

So, in order for the growing hashrate to be cleared legally it is declared as a 'bonus' for the purposes of this contract?

Regarding the contract, please state what is the case if we do not agree with the terms given.

Since LRM already took our BTC, it seems we are forced to accept. The 'All purchases are final' bit.

Well, I didn't know I was 'purchasing' a crappy amount of hashing power for 4BTC

I am not sure how people can legally be forced into accepting these 'new terms and conditions'.

I, for one, want my BTC back. I don't care that the dollar amount has changed. 1 BTC then is 1 BTC now.

Please do not answer questions with false information.

You are not forced to accept.

Your personal opinion.

You are not forced to accept.

Your personal opinion.

How is it 'false' that you have CHANGED the terms of the deal AFTER receiving our money for these 'mining bonds'?

Yes, it's my opinion that I'm posting on here. Goodness knows I don't have hardly any facts from you because of the way all this has transpired.

Money spent on LRM will never be recovered by investors. Is that my opinion? Yes, it is. Remains to be seen if that is going to be true or not.

To avoid spamming the thread and also defeating the purpose of the ama, please don't answer questions for him.

You saying that all purchases are final is meaningless, as this is a change of the terms, and this cannot be done without agreement. It is of critical importance for him to state what happens if people reject the new terms.

I agree. Read the entirety of my posting.

Re: [GPUC] GPU Coin | GPU Store Front Opening Sunday
by
dooferorg
on 22/03/2014, 05:22:25 UTC
I finally found some items I wanted in stock at my distributor, ordered them, paid in full on the 18th from a warehouse only 500 miles away and awaited the tracking info.  I got an e-mail the following day saying they couldn't find the items in their warehouse but said they had all of the cards in another location and would be shipping them out shortly, to which I told them all they needed to do was make sure the items would be here by this weekend, to which they promised me no worries.  I checked my e-mail yesterday and was met with some bad news; they shipped all of the items from California via UPS ground.  I tried giving UPS a call, but all of the boxes were already on a truck and traveling cross country so they couldn't help.

So, to alleviate any worries I am letting all the good people know that the store front will be open on Sunday like planned, but any orders will be shipped out on Thursday when all the stock arrives(check out tracking at the bottom).  GPUC from sales will NOT be dumped on the market place all at once but will instead be spread out as much as is feasibly possible to keep the market stable.

Selling prices are as follows, given in USD but will be selling for the equivalent of GPUC:
Sapphire Toxic R9 280X : $390 + shipping
Sapphire R7 240 : $27 + shipping
Gigabyte R9 270 : $190 + shipping

My invoice from the distributor:
http://i.imgur.com/falMZxu.jpg

If you want to check out the shipping info of the eight 34lb boxes of GPUs:
http://wwwapps.ups.com/WebTracking/processInputRequest?sort_by=status&tracknums_displayed=1&TypeOfInquiryNumber=T&loc=en_US&InquiryNumber1=1Z9844140377461322&track.x=0&track.y=0

R9 270 for $190 ? .. oh yea, same as NewEgg.. lol .. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?gclid=CKvw97yypb0CFaw-MgodBkAAyA&Item=N82E16814150702

Gigabyte overclocked version: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125491 .. $209 .. and I'd have to buy gpucoin?

Just got the upgrade kit.. boy the new single 120x38mm fan for the single radiator is loud. Anyone know what mounting these things take? It looks like Intel attachment arrangement so any watercooler should be fine, yes?

I'm thinking of getting some 280mm radiators with 140mm fans.
