D7 is my fav pool when I mine for PPC, what I really like is the fact that I can choose the minimum difficulty of the requested shares.

Please, put more graphs for the graph junkies among us  Grin

ΕΙΝΑΙ SEPA

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Single_Euro_Payments_Area

Re: 7950 or 7970 for casual mining?

Hello guys I also have a question. Why Bitcoin Hash rates are written as 1000MH/s and Litecoins as 1000KH/s.
these number are written for the same card i.e if we take example of 6990 the has rates for BTC and LTC are written as.

BTC 900MH/s
LTC 900KH/s

What is the difference between them?
I doubt that they are not written correctly. Both should be KH/s

scrypt (used by LTC) is more difficult than sha-256 (used by BTC), thus the lower hashrate.

I was too experiencing "time-too-old" errors. Setting expiry didn't seem to fix it.  Sad
But when I add -Q 0 to cgminer, "time-too-old" errors almost disappear.  Cool

Re: Why such agreement that Deflationary currency is a bad thing

Deflation is "bad" in the way that it postpones consumption.

Imagine you wanted to buy a new TV set and you knew that next month its price would be lower, it would be quite rational for you to postpone your shopping until next month.
But then again, next month, you would knew that the price will drop more if you wait more...

Deflation is good for hoarding, bad for consumption whereas
Inflation is good for consumption, bad for hoarding.

Re: what would happen if bitcoin had a software bug
by
dorei
on 08/04/2013, 20:57:16 UTC
yes but at the same time it took no less than 4 mining pools to do it

They did it coz someone in Bitcoin Foundation said so. Bitcoin is centralized. ==> Any bug will be fixed, the blockchain will be reverted and so on.

Who is this "Bitcoin Foundation"?

bitcoin reminds me of the tulip mania

Quoting from wikipedia:
At the peak of tulip mania, in February 1637, some single tulip bulbs sold for more than 10 times the annual income of a skilled craftsman.
