Those of us that have corporate networks CANT.
Which is why we stick to Skype. If Discord (or any other of these supposedly awesome products) actually work through a corporate proxy (like Squid), then we would happily do so. All those that can't, won't. Believe me when I tell you that the corporate players are the ones to take note of also, as apps like Discord is one of the WORST apps to use in a corporate environment.
This is why Skype is STILL the most widely used in the 'real' business end of industry.
Until WebSockets based apps like discord can actually be used in proxies like Squid, there will be no reason for a large company to bother with it, unless they have a system where they do NOT use a protected system or Proxy system.
This is the main reason why it begs the question of WHY the corporate that seemingly backs RVN is also part of the Discord system. Makes me wonder how much of their corporate network is actually exposed. Might have to look at that one day and see which is the actuality of the situation here, and which is fiction. Until then, we will keep mining/trading/watching and guessing as to what the facts really are here.

Hello everyone, I've been accumulating and staking MMXIV for about a month now and I really like the coin but i'm not liking the discussion going on in here.
Correct me if i'm wrong but from the sounds of it you want to take a decentralized crypo-currency and centralize it.
-You want to distribute the wealth to a few (The MMXIV Elite)
-then the Elite are the only ones that can create the currency
-the Elite control the money supply therefore the price
How is this different from the currant fiat system?
The whole purpose of crypto is to offer something better than currant fiat system.
I say leave it the way it is and look for ways to move a head, not back.

I can confirm that the big news coming out tomorrow has something to do with NHZ.
If any of you are concerned that Dan is not fully focussed on XC, you'd have no basis for this. He's releasing several app updates a day, and has put XC's tech so far ahead of any competition that there's simply no catching up. Dan's commitment is not in doubt.
As for NHZ, I can promise you that, as with every single previous project that Dan has involved himself with, this will serve to enhance XC.

I would think the upgrade kits foe the s2 out in 4 to 6 weeks probably about the same amount of time like the s3 KITS
I was thinking the same thing. Just wanted some confirmation it's still coming because I'm trying to figure out to sell them now and buy s4's or wait for the upgrade

I'm trying to get a Xnode setup but when I try and start the qt after downloading it I get this error "The program can't start because libgcc_s_dw2-1.dll is missing from your computer, try reinstalling to fix this problem". I've tried on multiple computers with the same error.
you have to copy the file to the existing install directory with all the other files.
install with the setup file from here http://downloads.xc-official.com/release/windows/ (skip this if installed already)
and then copy the new program file to install directory (e.g. C:\Program Files (x86)\XCurrency)

Tried to install this XC wallet in my work PC, in the office. All started right away, no problems.
So my problem at home must be either in PC windows config, or router (ports), or my ISP is possibly blocking something.
That is why I am asking about PORTS now
Could not find even smallest talk about this - which ports are used, and must to be open for this XC wallet
Just took a look at my router and the port my XC wallet is using is port 32348 and I have 52 connections. I hope this can help.

The first is that you're missing time as a frame of reference. Those two chains don't exist at the same time, and by the time the ring signatures chain reaches the level of transactions chain 1 has the lay of the land will be different. In other words, Bitcoin's blockchain right now is 20gb as it processes 61 000 transactions a day with a huge market cap and massive amounts of global reach. If Monero, for instance, reached that level in 5 years time it would have a 110gb blockchain by the middle of 2019. I have a 1tb Kingston thumb drive in my pocket, WD just released the 6tb version of their Red NAS series of drives. With HGST pushing HAMR drives for next year, they expect that in the next 5 years there will be 40tb - 60tb drives that are as readily available and cheap as 4tb - 6tb drives today. Will a 110gb blockchain on full nodes really matter by 2019, when everyone is sporting 40tb drives? By direct comparison: Bitcoin's blockchain takes up 0.5% of today's 4tb drives, and comparably Monero would take up 0.275% of 2019's 40tb drives. In other words, disk space and Internet capacity is rapidly outstripping potential blockchain growth.

It's not just a coin it's a platform. Your going to try and tell me that encrypted messages, voice, and video that is totally decentralized is not useful? Hell it's a multi billion dollar feature. Do you really like the NSA collecting all your data, if anon is such a big deal I would also think that having an XC app on your computer or phone to chat, call or skype totally anonymous is a big deal.

You said that ring signatures are bloating the blockchain and this being a major setback. This is wrong, the setback is very minor, stop talking nonsense and do your research.
I would think the blockchain bloat would hinder mass adoption, can you pls explain why you think it's not a problem? The future is mobile with brick and mortar shops, How will XMR integrate into mobile? Oh also does XMR have EM, or encrypted voice and video chat around the corner?
