Quote
The value of all cryptocurrency transactions will fall sharply this year to just over $30 billion, compared with $71 billion in 2014, a new report from Juniper Research has predicted.

The analysis noted that this decline was attributable to the combined impact of exchange collapses, Bitcoin theft, and regulatory concerns around the role of cryptocurrency in funding dark web purchases.

However, the report also argued that the introduction of licensed, regulated exchanges could lead to a stabilisation in currency values, and with it an increase in retail transaction adoption. It pointed out that in an unregulated market place, consumer confidence had been eroded by the demise of the Mt Gox exchange in February 2014, and the recent theft of nearly 19,000 Bitcoins from BitStamp hot wallets.

Although companies such as PayPal have started to allow US consumers to purchase digital goods via Bitcoin, Juniper noted: “The scale of the challenge facing Bitcoin is so great that it will struggle to gain traction beyond a tech-savvy and/or libertarian demographic.”

Instead, the research identified a longer term role for cryptocurrency protocols in the wider payments space. Report author, Dr Windsor Holden, explained: “It is likely that we will see the technologies behind cryptocurrency deployed in areas such as real-time transactional settlement. Ripple Labs is already focusing overwhelming on that approach, and in the medium term we may see a role evolution to this end amongst other cryptocurrency players.”

Have I been lied to? Apparently Ripple was a scam, yet BITCOIN JESUS invests into it. The Holey Messiah of BITCOIN invests into Ripple!??!!

https://rogerver.com/

Now I have missed the boat on ANOTHER crypto while smart people moved into Ripple already. I guess I go down with this sinking bitcoin ship Sad

Lesson learned.

you've not missed the boat.. BTC is dragging all altcoins down and with them XRP's to. By my estimation rock bottom for XRP will be at, no less then, 0.01$... so January is a good time to start buying XRP's cheap.

And to answer your question.. .I guess because Ripple with its currency XRP isn't a scam after all Smiley the fact that those few Bitcoin fanatics, that were screaming scam, scam, scam, are not to be heard anymore, proves it also Smiley

Because it's the only Bitcoin 2.0 that, together with Codius, will make it in the real world.
Bitcoin 1.0 has to many issues, Stellar died last week & Ethereum is to complicated and to slow.

Ripple is all premined , bitcoin is not premined  Roll Eyes. You're telling me that ripple is betterh than btc ? I think you're wrong.

Calculate the value of premined BTC (Satoshi) and XRP(RippleLabs) and you'll be very wrong Wink

Would anyone have the balls to talk to the officials if they were just scammers as suggested by some of the fanatics? In my opinion, no.

This is the letter (complete submission pdf attached)

27 November 2014
Senate Standing Committees on Economics
PO Box 6100
Parliament House
Canberra ACT 2600
Dear Madam/Sir:
Sub: Senate Inquiry into Digital Currency
On behalf of Ripple Labs Inc., I am very pleased to table this submission, via the online facility, for your consideration. Ripple Labs is engaging with financial institutions around the world, including Australia, to implement an open, free and universally acceptable global protocol for funds settlements. Being a transformative technology, especially for cross-border transactions, we believe this can enable Australian institutions, small and large businesses and individuals to prosper in global markets.
Digital currency is an enabling component of the Ripple protocol, but not as a currency for use by individuals or to replace fiat currencies like the Australian dollar. Our proposed use of digital currency is to reduce friction between financial institutions and accelerate the velocity of financial transactions by the provision of cheap and plentiful liquidity. We believe digital currency can play a key role alongside traditional fiat currencies in such
digitally-enabled models for transforming economies. We are working with financial regulators around the world as well as supporting new initiatives for financial inclusion in emerging economies. Ripple Labs would be happy to provide further information and opinions to the Australian Senate Inquiry into Digital Currency. We have no objection to our submission being made public.
Yours sincerely,
Dilip Rao
Director - Asia Pacific
Ripple Labs Inc.

Re: Proof that Ripple numbers are manipulated by Coinmarketcap, there is no boom!
by

Yes! let people decide.. and if you are to warn of real scams then do some fucking research!!! I am all for warning about scams.. but really, DO SOME RESEARCH!

First of all.. the only "real"(almost real) argument is that RL has premined to much of XRP.. but if you did some background check and compared tha value of their holdings to Satoshi premine in the beginning.. you'd see it's about the same.
Ofcourse we all worry that RippleLabs will do something corrupt with it and screw us all.. But based on their claims, they will. not. So it is left to the individual to deside wether to trust them or not.
Second.. Transaction time is as fast as a click of a refresh button. Third.. this pump that is going on.. is either a pump or something really big happening.. And based on all the read news, I believe there is something big going on. Unfortunatelly Banks can not confirm adoption speculation, because they would rather be the first in front of their competition.

And there is so much more details that are more relevant then these few sentences that I wrote... But in the end.. It's up to the individual soul to decide..

And you fanatics, at least do your research!! Why?? Because if it turn's out not to be true.. Then when real scam comes our way.. no one will believe you anymore.
