Buenas,

bitcore it's better imho, it has big airdrop interest, and with your mod, it's on top of the profit

The best sp-mod today is the blake2s mod. (verge) The profit is more than $20 per 1080ti card..
x17 is much better )) but all pools suxx )) solo rules got $50/day per gtx1080ti

in order for sp_ not to waste time on an x17 mod: there are 20% improved x17 miners around already.

what are those miners?

hi,sp,what's the keccak  hashrate for gtx1080ti?

I am not sure. Only tested on maxwell, 1060 and 1070 cards. But should do around 1600.
I can confirm it. With 100% TP about 1600, 70% - 1350.

what clocks for the 70% tdp?

I've been mining nexus for a while, right now is not that profitable. Not at all ... I have a single rig there and making 2.5$ a day per 1080ti -before power-, just saying

I can do 28 Mh/s on a 1080Ti at 160W.
And 22 Mh/s on a 1080 at 110W.

what OC are you using? are you using your own miner?

Thanks, I understand.

my outlet is properly wired, I tested it with a multimeter and an electrician did install a new power line for my rigs. So there is no problem with my outlets Smiley

So I guess I shouldnt worry about it

Re: Questions about grounding properly

Everything is grounded already. Please dont connect some random stuff with each other.

The PSUs are grounded through the power cable from the wall and all the hardware is grounded through the power cables coming from the PSU. Connecting a mounting hole to the PSU case could only trigger "Case Open" detection some mainboards have and thats useless....or in worst case you create a short somehow and break something with the addiditonal cables added.

Just watch out not to mix stuff up and power each piece completely from the same PSU (e.g. Riser + GPU from same PSU, CPU Power + ATX power from same PSU etc.)

Ok, thanks.

So only thing is to have all gpus powered by the same PSU but I can power GPU0-2 with one PSU and GPU4-6 with other PSU right?

I wonder why there are a lot of threads about grounding PSUs together ...

Questions about grounding properly
by

Hi,

regarding motherboards:
I have some rigs sitting on wood, I guess I should ground the motherboard to the PSU case, right? i guess if i throw a cable between some mounting hole to the psu case it will be enough...

regarding psus:
If I have several PSUs to feed a single rig, I guess I should ground them together, how to do so properly? a single cable connected between the two psu cases will be enough?

hi,
whats the block reward formula?

Block reward formula? PoS and PoW rewards are 100 Coins per Block

Sorry, I meant given a diff and a hashrate, calculate the expected number of block rewards per time

Re: Miners - What do you do when Difficulty jumps?
by

Hello Miners.

Just wanted to discuss how some more knowledgeable miners who are mining for over 12 months.

Please share your views

1- Do you think or believe mining Alt Coins or mining from GPU - will ever finish or completely die?

2- You believe difficulty is going to rise, so how would you cope up with it?  a) Reinvest in new cards b) Keep on holding the AltCoins that you mined c) Or what.. please advise..

3- With the NetHash pumping... what alternatives do you plan or look in to?

4- If God Forbid, Alt Coins or Crypto Market completely vanishes.. Which is highly unlikely... what risk measures have you pre-planned up..

Thanks in advance for your input...

1. Yes. Actually it happened in the past ... dry times
2. Yes. It depends on what do you want to achieve... if you want to get money, you can jump to another altcoin or mine and hodl
3. See 2
4. Sell GPUs

Re: GPU mining with a RPi
by

I see your point, but is that not just a question of making that tool (software) that can combine USB and PCIe to talk?

I was just thinking if you have windows 10 on a motherboard where you have cuda running, why should it not be possible to run Windows 10 iot on a Pi and then have the same setup.

Then it should just be matter of how to get it to communicate.

Maybe I'm way off here. Smiley

Just a thought.

yeah, you are way off

you dont need a shitty windows to run cuda on ARM. You can use linux. I dont think nvidia has released any driver for windows iot ... lol thats really off hehe

The RPI does not have PCIe lanes so no, it cant work.

There are other dev boards where you could mine with discrete gpus, like the TX1 (it has a pcie port and msta port). There you can even use the onboard gpu (256 maxwell cores) to mine...

yep I contacted ParallelMiner with this exact question and they told me that it would be fine to run with just 1 breakboard. I think I will go this route, thanks!

thanks for sharing the picture!

I did attach a heatsink  directly on the sticker and it definetly helps. But the PSU is still loud ... actually I put a second heatsink to the left of the sticker because that part was getting hotter. Now I can touch the heatsinks and they are warm but not hot (they have also attached fans).

other solution I can think off is puting the PSU on mineral oil ... just the PSU

or maybe run it at 75% and use a supplementary PSU
